After their intense fight, Alexa walks back inside the Mikaelson Compound, with Klaus walking after her.

"Alexa?" Klaus says.

In Klaus's and Alexa's bedroom, Alexa has put her hair in a low ponytail with a scrunchie.

Klaus slowly walks inside and sits down on the bed with Alexa.

"You don't have to forgive me, but I love you." Klaus says.

Alexa gently cups his face with her hands. Klaus kisses Alexa's palm of her hand. Klaus and Alexa exchange soft expressions at each other.

"Aurora slept with you and kissed you to put a wedge in our marriage, am I correct?" says Alexa.

"Yes. And I was a fool to sleep with her. And for that, I am sorry." Klaus says.

The next morning. In the Bayou Barn Café, Alexa, Skylar and Mallory are sitting at a table, eating and drinking. Klaus slowly walks inside and Mallory smiles at him.

"Dad." Mallory says with a smile, and runs up to him.

Klaus gently lifts her up in his arms and they hug each other. And gently pulls away from the hug.

"Are you and Mommy okay?" Mallory asks him, with a worried expression.

"Of course, sweetheart, your Mom and I are fine." Klaus says, and gently sits Mallory atop of a table. "Your mother and I may fight sometimes, but we love each other."

"Okay." Mallory says with a gentle smile.

Klaus and Mallory exchange small gentle smiles at each other. Klaus kisses Mallory's forehead and she gently leaps off the table and walks away.

"That's sweet." Jackson says, slowly walking up to Klaus.

"What's sweet?" Klaus asks.

"You and Mallory. You're an amazing father, Klaus." Jackson says. "And I know you and I don't quite get along, but the Crescent Wolves are Mallory's family too."

"Yes, I know, Jackson." Klaus says. "But you and everyone else know that I'll do anything to protect my wife and daughter."

"Yeah. I know." Jackson says. But like I said, Klaus, you're an amazing father."

Klaus is touched by Jackson's sentimentality. Jackson slowly walks away. Alexa slowly walks up behind her and gently covers Klaus's eyes with her hands.

"Guess who? She's goofy, silly, and tough as nails badass?" Alexa says, playfully teasing him.

Klaus smirks and playfully teases Alexa.
"Hmm? I don't know."

Alexa gently removes her hands from Klaus's eyes and slowly walks around in front of him. "It's me." And playfully giggles.

"Are you and Jackson okay?" Alexa asks him.

"Yes, we're fine, Jackson even said that I'm an amazing father." Klaus says.

"You are, Klaus." Alexa says, and gently cups his face with her hands. "And I'm so proud of you."

MIKAELSON COMPOUND

That afternoon, Klaus, Alexa and Mallory had returned home to prepare themselves for a party in the Bayou café.

Alexa slowly walks inside the study to see Klaus sitting on the carpet floor. "Klaus?"

Alexa slowly walks up to him and sits down on the carpet floor in front of him. "Klaus? What is it?"

Klaus looks at Alexa, with a glum expression. "You've never betrayed me. You've been completely faithful to me. And yet, I'm the person that betrayed you and our marriage."

"Klaus?" Alexa says.

"I am so sorry for betraying you, Lexa." Klaus says. "I'm a bad husband, am I?"

"What?" Alexa says, bewildered. "No, no, of course not, you're a good husband, Niklaus. Don't ever say that."

"I've failed you." Klaus says.

Alexa looks at Klaus with a soft expression as she gently sits down in his lap. And gently cup his face with her hands.

Klaus looks at her.

"Klaus, You're not a bad husband, and yes, you betrayed me and our marriage, but I forgive you, Klaus." Alexa says. Klaus's expression softens. "I forgive you, Klaus. Nobody's perfect. And of course, we make mistakes sometimes, but learn from our mistakes. I. Forgive. You. Klaus."

Klaus smiles softly. And kisses her. Alexa kisses him back, gently wrapping his arms around her waist.

THE BAYOU CAFÉ

That evening, in the barn, Alexa, Skylar and Mallory are dancing together. Klaus is gently leaning on a table, looking at Alexa as she smiles and dances with Skylar and Mallory.

Klaus has never felt more happiness in his complicated, damaged life. All he had was darkness inside his heart. And Alexa put a spec of light within him.

Afterwards, the party has calm down and everyone has a glass of champagne. And Mallory has a plastic cup of fruit punch.

"I know some of us don't quite get along with each other . . . ." says Camille, looking around at the Crescent Wolves, the Mikaelson's and Marcel and his vampires. ". . . . And yet, here we are. So, to friendships."

"To friendships." Everyone says in unison.

Alexa starts to walk away.

"Alexa, can we talk?" Klaus asks.

"Yeah, sure." Alexa says. "What is it?"

"It's something you said, about learning from my mistakes. Sleeping with Aurora, betraying you was my mistake, how could I betray the woman that I love, sometimes I think to myself I don't deserve you." Klaus says.

"Klaus. It's bygones." Alexa says, and kisses his cheek. "Now, come on, party."

Klaus and Alexa exchange playfully chuckles at each other.

MIKAELSON COMPOUND

That evening, Alexa and a slightly drunk Klaus walks inside their bedroom. Alexa gently lays down Klaus on their bed.

"I think I drunk too much champagne." Klaus says, slightly drunk.

"Yeah." Alexa says with a chuckle, and gently pulls off her pump heels.

"Love you." Klaus says.

"I love you too, Klaus." Alexa says, and pulls out her phone. "I'm gonna check on Cami."

"Okay." Klaus says.

"Sleep off that alcohol." Alexa says with a playful snicker.

Klaus chuckles softly. Alexa dials Camille's phone number.

"Hey, Alexa. How are you?" says Cami on the phone.

"Hey, Cami. I'm just checking on you." Alexa says.

"I'm fine. But thanks for checking on me, Lexa. You're a really good best friend." says Camille on the phone.

"You're welcome." Alexa says. And hangs up her phone.

"Klaus?" Alexa says.

Alexa glances at Klaus as he sleeps. She smiles softly at her sleeping drunk husband as she gets up and kisses his cheek. And walks away from him.
