Skylur's POV

Me and hunter were walking alone in the woods. Maddy had left with her dad and everyone else had gone home. It was dark. The moonlight lit up the ground just barely for us to see. Hunter had earbuds in and I was deep in thought.

Crunch! I heard from behind us. I turned but nobody was there. We continued to walk.

Crunch! There it was again. What was that. I turned and I paused. Hunter started to look around. Someone jolted behind a tree. He walked towards it. I saw a flick of terror on his face and then he was Dead. "Hunter! Crap! Hunter! Hunter!" I yelled even though I knew he was dead. When I ran to him I felt a sharp pain in my back and I stopped breathing.

Maddy's POV

Skylur fell. Flat on his face and was dead. I was done. Finally. They were gone. I picked up their bodies and lit them on fire till all that was left was ashes. I would tell Max tomorrow. I walked back in silence.

Max's POV

I called Skylur to see if he and Hunter were ok. All I got was a voicemail. I hung up and sat there. Willam walked up to me.

"Hey. How are you doing?" He asked.

"Fine. I'm just a little worried." I said.

"Really? What about?"

"Hunter and Skylur. We all went walking in the woods till it got dark. Then everyone but Skylur and Hunter went home but those two kept walking. It's really dark now and they could get hurt or lost." I said.

"Have you tried calling them?"

"Yes. 5 times each but they won't answer."

"Maybe you'll see them tomorrow. Just get some rest. Okay?"

"Okay. Goodnight" I told him.

"Goodnight."he said then shut the door.

I hoped that he was right. I didn't understand why I was worried. They had been Complete jerks for the past year. But it still bothered me. So I decided since Tomorrow is Saturday, I'd go look out in the woods for them. Then stop by their house.

The next day I went into the woods. I looked for half and hour but only found a pile of ashes. It looked like someone had been cremated or something. I took a few pics and then when to their house. The parents said that they hadn't returned yet. I went back and got some of the ashes in suspicion and took them to my uncles house. He analyzed them. If your friends were out last night they ran into trouble because this is their DNA.

"What?! You mean that they are dead?!" I said. After talking to him, my friends, and the boys family, we decided that tee would hold their funerals next week. Maddy came up to me afterwards and asked,

"Hey Max? Can we talk in private?"

"Sure." I said. We walked over to the fountain and sat down. "What do you need?" I asked. I should have been upset. But I wasn't. I mean, we have been friends since pre-k but i wasn't upset about the boys.

"Well it's about Skylur and Hunter. I know who the killer is." She was holding a knife. "Its-its-its me!" She said and held the knife to her chest."I'm sorry." She said and stabbed herself and fell over dead.

"Ahh!!!" I screamed.
