" SHOTA!" A sweet voice called out for the always brooding teenager. He looked at her nothing else but annoyance in his eyes. As she smiled at him, he looked back at his book.
" Shota!" She called out once again getting an eye roll in response.
" What do you want, L/n?" He asked his classmate irritated by the disturbance.
" I thought we could study together!" Y/n told him sitting besides him. " Also, didn't I tell you to call me Y/n?"
" Would that make you leave me alone?" Her smile almost faltered but it came right back brighter than ever.
" Nope!"
That was L/n Y/n, a student in U.A. Hard working, smiley, sweet and bubbly. A ray of sunshine in a dark day. She was loved by many. Many but not by him.
Aizawa Shota, her classmate. Always sleeping, studying, brooding or sleeping. Could be compared to coffee. Dark, bitter and no matter how much sugar you give it, it stays the same. Not much people liked or even acknowledged him. He liked it. He liked being alone but he wasn't as she wouldn't let him be alone.
" Yo Aizawa! We goin-" A random student who holds practically no importance to this story, stopped as he saw Y/n besides Aizawa. " Oh, you with your little girlfriend. I see."
Y/n grew flustered at the title. Shota wasn't so happy with it. " She's not my girlfriend and I won't ever make her my girlfriend." He said before getting up and leaving.
" Geez man."
Her eyes followed his slouching figure as she pouted at the harshness of his words.
" Shota, why did you say that you'd never make me your girlfriend?" He rolled his eyes at the girl.
" You're not my type, L/n." He continued walking not even sparing her a glance.
" So, what is your type?"
" Why?"
" Why not?" He stopped walking which made her bump unto his back. " Sorry."
" Look, Y/n, I'm not into the cute bubbly childish vibe. Like you, I like more mature girls. You're like every other girl on campus. Nothing much there." Did she just get rejected without actually confessing?
" I-" " Y/n!" The naturally deep and mature voice of her bestfriend, Amaya reached her ears as she was about to say something.
" Where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere." She said hugging her before noticing the tears that were welling up in Y/n's eyes. She looked at Aizawa with a frown. " Did something happen? Aizawa, did something happen? "
Not getting an answer, she grabbed her bestfriend and took her away from him. Y/n loved her bestfriend but she wouldn't be honest if she said she didn't envy her. Amaya was perfect. Mature, kind, loving, caring and beautiful with a great body. She was the girl everyone wanted. She was everything Y/n wanted to be. Now, more than ever.
Y/n was quite chubby and a late bloomer. She didn't have much curves like other girls their age. Their mom was quite pushy when it came to their image. Constantly monitoring their weight and their way to eat. It would be a lie if she said she didn't feel insecure of it. Well she was made insecure about it due to the constant remarks.
" Y/n, you should stop wasting your time with him. " She said giving her a water bottle.
" Amaya, you know how much I like him." She sighed clutching her heart. " It hurts so much."
If you haven't caught up yet, Y/n had the biggest crush on Aizawa and everybody knew it. Except Aizawa. Why do you think she would follow him around like that? Everyone knew but no one knew what she saw in him.
" Why so?"
" I asked him his type and he basically told me I was nowhere close to his. " Y/n looked down remembering all those harsh words.
" Y/n, you are perfect as you are. If he doesn't see it then it's his loss. Let's get our lunch, mkay?" She put out a hand for her to take, which she did.
" Let's go."

Two months. Two whole months since Y/n had gotten anywhere close to Shota. His words actually hurt her, mostly because he was her crush for three years. She distanced herself and everyone saw it.
She was sitting alone on the bench near the entrance, reading not paying attention to her horizon. She jumped as someone tapped her shoulder. Looking back, her eyes widened. It was the man she'd been avoiding for the past months. Aizawa.
Y/n avoided eye contact. " What do you want?"
" I saw you were alone so..." He trailed off looking at the empty seat besides her.
" Don't need company. You can leave now." Her response was unusual but it didn't bother him.
" Where is Amaya today?"
" What?"
" You're sitting here alone. She'd usually accompany you."
She looked him weird before responding. " She's on leave."
He nodded. " You can hangout with me if you want-"
" Why are you acting so nice all of a sudden?" Y/n snapped at his weird behavior.
" I felt bad for what I said the last time and I don't have many friends. I guess I missed your presence. Can we be friends?" He awkwardly put out his hand.
A smile stretched on her face as she shook his hand. " Of course."

Ever since that day, Amaya, Aizawa and Y/n became great friends. Way closer. Sometimes Y/n would feel out of place as they were both more...mature compared to her. She understood but didn't know what to say in their intellectual moments. She was a mastermind in the battlefield but not so great in general communication.
She never felt left out as Aizawa held her close to him as if she was important until their graduation. They were officially becoming Pro-heroes. Everyone was excited, the trio were definitely excited as they had worked for so long to get where they were.
" We're finally done!!" Y/n exclaimed as she looked at the end of training diploma. " Let's take a pic!"
Aizawa didn't smile as he still had his sleep deprived face on but he was happy. " Yeah."
She knew she was going to cherish this picture for the rest of her life.
Amaya was talking with her family as Y/n looked for hers. They wouldn't have missed her graduation, right? It wouldn't surprise her. She was the black sheep of the family. So imperfect compared to them. Her older brother was the perfect child, soon to be CEO of their father's company, graduated in marketing and was handsome. They loved him and she doubted their love for her. They promised they would be there for her graduation.
The ever smiling girl sat on the ground loosing hope but her face lit up as her crush approached with the ghost of a smile on his face.
" What got you smiling like that?" She looked up at him.
" I'm gonna confess." He said loud enough for her to hear.
" Confess? To whom?" She was confused but kinda hopeful.
" Someone I've liked for a while." Y/n's mind was racing. Could it be...her?
" Who?" She exclaimed grinning.
"You." " Amaya."
Her smile dropped but it was quickly replaced with fake one. ' How? He wasn't even- he-was using me, wasn't he? It all makes sense now. I'm so stupid.'
" Go on then. What are you waiting for?" Her voice was strained as tears made their way to her eyes.
" Actually, I'm really nervous. Can I... practice with you?" She felt her heart shatter.
" Uh, sure." He got to her level and exhaled before starting.
" Amaya, you caught my eye and ever since I couldn't get them off you. You are everything I've ever wanted. We understand each other. I've honestly never felt like this before. So, Amaya, will you be my girlfriend?" A tear dropped onto her cheek as he said her name. " What's wrong?"
" Oh, it's just so cute I couldn't help but get emotional." He pushed her slightly.
" Always so dramatic. "
" Go on."
" Thank you, Y/n! You're the best." The only time, he'd ever called her by her first name and it wasn't for the reasons she wanted.
Y/n got up and left the arena tears rolling down her cheeks. She hugged herself as she realized Amaya was always the first choice. She would never be the first choice. She wasn't mature enough. She wasn't Amaya. She was the bubbly, cute and childish Y/n. The one, no one ever wanted.
" I'm so stupid. How could I think he'd like me? Of course he was using you, idiot. He literally said you were nothing much. " She hit her head, mad at herself for falling. " I'm so stupid for thinking you'd like me. I'm so stupid for loving you."
She walked out, looking for her parents car but she never found it. That was her last straw, she didn't feel loved where she was. So, she left.

" Mrs. L/n, have you seen Y/n?" Aizawa asked the older woman. She looked at him before crying even more than she was before. " I'm sorry. D-did I say something wrong? Mr.L/n"
" Shota Aizawa, is it?" The teenager nodded. " I've heard about you. Why are you looking for Y/n?"
" I just want to talk to her. I need to talk to her." His eyes followed Mr.L/n as he moved to get himself a drink.
" Well, I'm afraid you're too late, son. "
" W-what do you mean? " Those words scared him. Did she...
" She's gone. Y/n barely took anything. She just left."
" What... No." He realized that he " messed up. I messed up."
Y/n L/n was gone and no one knew where the hell she was.
A/n:
Hello and Welcome to MATURE!
I am Daniel. I use They/he/she pronouns. Ignore how badly written this is...
I do not own BNHA/MHA or The characters. They belong to the writers. I only own my OC's and the alterations made to the original plot. Probably won't follow the plot at all.
Y/N's personality won't be as seen in this chapter. That's where the title Mature comes from.
Homophobia, Racism, Xenophobia (doesn't limit to this), will not be tolerated in this book. No arguments in the comments. Any hate comments will be deleted. Peace is all we want here.
I accept constructive criticism of course but I do not accept hate comments.
I'm pretty busy, sick and have many other books so the updates will be pretty slow. Please don't ask for next updates, it puts a lot of stress on me and doesn't make me want to update the book. Don't do it ESPECIALLY if you don't interact with book (Vote, comment, etc)
WARNING
There will be mentions of drinking, blood, cuts, death and shit like that. Cursing. Sexual themes.
