Chapter Three: The Help {The Flash}

We had entered the building which is known as S.T.A.R Labs. We all stood in the main room of the building, as I stood in the middle of the room, as the rest of them were spotted around, but behind the computer monitors. However, Barry was in front of me, him and all of the others eyeing me up like I was a threat of some kind.

"First of all, I mean you no harm," was the first thing that I had spoke, making them a little less tense. "I had received a message, noting me that there were a singularity forming in the area," I continued, my eyes connecting to each of the pairs.

"So you were here to help?" Barry had asked, as he was still wearing his red suit. I gave him a firm nod, as he looked relived of sorts to know that, but something within his eyes were searching me over and like he was staring right into my soul and I was doing the same to him. An abrupt cough made my sight weaver from Barry's gaze, to where the cough had came from. It had came from the slightly tanned man with shoulder length hair.

"Hey Cisco Ramon," he gave me a quick smile. "So you are a scientist?" He asked, raising an eyebrow towards me.

"I wouldn't class as one, but give me any name. I'll take it," I gave him a shrug of my shoulders with a sweet smile. "On that note, this suit --" I walked towards Barry, circling him like he was pray. "This suit is amazing," my facial expression was beaming, as my fingers traced the shoulder line of Barry, making him slightly tense under my touch.

"Why thank you. I designed it myself," Cisco spoke up, making me turn my gaze to him which he had a wide grin on his face, impressed with his work. I came full circle of Barry standing back in front of Barry. I could feel his eyes on me, watching my move every second.

"I would like to offer my services, if you need it," I state to the group of people in front of me, offering a wide smile as well.

"Thank you," Barry had spoke first, giving me a warm smile. "Um, my name is Barry Allen. You know Cisco," he turns to Cisco as he grins to me. "Then there's Caitlin Snow and Joe and Iris West," Barry had pointed out the people while he spoke their names. I gave them all a little wave of my hand with a smile.

"It's nice to meet you all. The names' Violet," I said to them, but I didn't wait around as I began to walk to the exit. I could feel all their eyes upon me as I left, but I stopped in the arch type way... If you can even call it that. "See you around," My eyes were directly on Barry, my gaze on him stared for a moment. I pulled myself away and turned to leave the room, my boots clicked against the floor which echoed in the hallways.

*Six Months Later*

I had stuck around for a few days in Central City, after the singularity and what it had course to the City, it needed a clean up. I helped where I could but I went, never sticking around too much, as there was a lot to see in the universe. However, Central City was calling to me, like in my bones. So I decided to go back, the city was still damaged and there was a lot to work to be done. So I stayed and helped out the people who needed it. They were also having a Flash day to celebrate the man who saved the City. When I came back, I checked up with the gang. Mostly, it was Cisco as he was the only one thrilled to see me. So, he filled me in on how Barry and how he came about his speed and the past year in a brief Cisco Ramon way... Which were funny gestures, remarks from TV shows, and so on. Though it's been six months, everyone kind of drifted away...

I arrived at a coffee shop called 'Jitters', because of the damage to the City, this shop had taken a beating inside so it was closed for repairs. I see through the glass doors that Barry stood there looking around, clapping his hands together to get the dust off. I pushed opened one of the door's and entered, Barry still oblivious.

"You know, if you ever decided that you didn't wanna be the Flash, you have a good future at being a contractor," I spoke aloud, making his snap his head around to meet my gaze, taken by surprise by my voice.

"Violet?" He states stunned his eyes wondering up and down me for a moment. "And Thanks," he let out a shaky laugh as he looked around the place as I was inches to his side. "Yeah, I'm just trying to put it all back exactly how it was before the..." He stopped himself for saying what had happened, as he made eye contacted with me. "You know," he had said softly, it was still a tense subject to bring up. But I gave him a sad smile, as he cleared his throat before taking some rubbish off the counter top.

"You know a lot of local businesses are being rebuilt at night..." I spoke, as he turned to face me, now holding a bottle of water in his hands. "Know anything about it?" I asked, while raising an eyebrow to him, as he had unscrewed the bottle lid and took a drink, smirking into the bottle while shrugging his shoulders. "Mister Allen, you need to be known, let the City know who has been rebuilding their businesses. They've heard the stories, they've read articles, they've maybe even seen the red streak racing past them," Barry had moved and looked away from me as he didn't want to hear this right now, but he needed to hear it. "But they have never seen the Flash," His eyes reconnected to mine.

"So that's why you've returned?" He had finally spoke. "You came to talk me into going to the rally? 'Cause I'm not gonna go," firm with the decision he had made up already.

"People just wanna thank the man who saved Central City," I retorted back to him.

"Well, they can't, 'cause that's not me," I huffed slightly at his response, before stepping a few steps forward, removing a flyer that was given to me from my jacket pocket. I held the flyer out to him, and he took it into his hands.

"Central City believes in the Flash. I know I've not been around for months, but I see the good in you Barry," I spoke as he looks at the flyer reading it over, before meeting my eyes. "I believe in you," I gave him a small smile, before turning around and walking out of the building without a single word from him or I. He knew deep down that I was right, that the City needs some sort of protector from these Meta-humans, who uses their power for evil.

...................................................

I had relocated back at my Tardis, the walk from the coffee shop wasn't long, and I needed sometime to myself. I sat in the black leather chair near the doors, as a Tardis blue diary sat open in my lap on a blank aged page. The colour had been worn out as I've had this one quite a bit. The pages within were filled with the people and adventures that I have been on, the book was nearly full, but still had some aged pages left to be filled in. I used an old fashioned 19th century fountain pen. It was a slender length, with a gold ring just a few inches from the tip. The colour was a dirty red, but some of the paint has been removed due to the usage of the pen often.

I began to write on the aged paged with the elegance of the writing, swirls here and there, like someone really fancy was writing in the diary. It was just how I was taught to write, well on Gallifrey we had our own writing language. The English language was so much more fun to write in. The fountain pen was so graceful along the aged paper like it was suppose to be written on. I was writing down what I had learnt on this Earth so far, including all the people I have met thus far and what were meta-humans and all that jazz. I had a months worth of writing to jot down....

Awhile later, I had finished writing in my diary. Two full pages were filled, the writing was elegant and was kept in a straight line. I read it to myself to make sure that I didn't need to add anything else for the time being.

"Mister Allen believes that he is at fault with the slight destruction of Central City. Which I find preposterous. He saved the City and in my eyes; the world. I don't see why he thinks he is the one to blame for the destruction, but he will come around and accept that he saved the City from further endangerment,"

I read a little snip-it out from my diary, each word that I wrote were true. He did save the world and his city, and he should feel proud of what he had done. So going to this 'Flash Day' would do him some good, and make him see that people are grateful for his help. If it wasn't for him the city would have gone into chaos by now. I sighed, before closing the diary, resting my hands on top of the cover. The pen laced within my fingers, as I stared into the time rotor, thinking about what tomorrow would bring for Barry. But deep down, I knew he was going to make the right choice. For himself and the City...
