Chapter Forty-Two: Liquid Lunch {Supernatural}

My eyes gaze between the men, as they were ready to attack us and potentially kill us. I narrowed my eyes at them, as if they were going to make the first move.

"Alright I've got a plan," Nova's voice came ringing in my head, making me snap my head to her and gave her a little nod. "So on the count of three, you sonic the lights to make them bright enough to blind the vamps and I'm gonna blast them. Then we can make a run for the barn while they're distracted," The plan the Nova came up with was a good one, as it could work. Stun the vamps long enough to us escape and into the Tardis.

"Nice plan, might just work," I spoke through our telepathy connection. I see Nova grin as she pulls her blaster out of her pocket and flipped it to the right settings.

"One," Nova began to count, as I went into my pocket and pulled free my sonic. "Two," she continued as I see the vamps knit their eyebrows together, wondering what we were doing. I flicked my hand out as the sonic extended. "Three!" I shot my hand up to the lights and soniced at the lights grew with brightness as the vamps covered their eyes and then Nova blasts the guys all in a row, it happened so fast. They all tumbled back and onto the kitchen floor, knocked out for the time being. The lights combust as the electricity shorted and sent currents out for a mere moment as Nova ran to the hallway as I followed her, and we both exited the front door. We ran round back to see the barn dimly lit with what little light it had in.

We didn't waste time and entered the barn and went straight to the Tardis, passing over the hay bays surrounding it. I pockets the sonic while I grabbed the Tardis key from within my inner-pocket. I insert the key into the lock and twist as the door unlocks and I push it open allowing Nova to go in front and I come in after. The console room was dark, only light by the light that entered through the door, and the windows. I slammed the door closed as I let out a breath of relief.

"What now?" Nova's voice rang out as I saw her looking at me. "She's still dead. How do we get out of here?" Nova was concerned for our well being, if we couldn't fix her, we would be stuck here and Nova would never get her brother back nor her family.

"I don't know," I spoke with a sigh. "But at least we're safe from them, for now," I state, as I peered through the windows, though I couldn't see anything. I could make out blurred figures if anyone does come. I notice Nova slide down the door and tucked her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on top of them, letting out a sigh.

"Oh all the things that my mum taught me, what to do with a dead Tardis wasn't one of them," Nova spoke aloud, as my eyes dropped to look at her, biting her bottom lip. "I know it's not possible but if I could talk to her, she'd know what to do, she always knew what to do," Nova was pouring her heart to me right now, I see tears full in her eyes, but she quickly erased them from her cheek. I began to sit to the right of Nova, leaning against the door we came in.

"My mother was always hard on me, she never felt like I achieved enough. I went to the academy on Gallifrey, was taught all the things and came out a full Time-Lord. But still it was never enough, even my Father thought the same," I began to pour my heart out to her as well, it would do us some good. "Until a good friend from the academy told me to stop seeking their approval and go on my own adventures, to see the stars to see the universe. And I listened," my eyes met with Nova as she stared into them. "So, I stole a Tardis and ran away, seeking adventure everywhere I went. My life wasn't perfect on Gallifrey but I had friends that support me, and then the people I've met on my adventures will always be with me," tears began to swell in my eyes, but I forced them not to drop. "But they will always be with us in our hearts," I offered a motherly smile as I reached out and touched her left shoulder, giving her support. "But now is no time to dwell on the past. We need to figure out how to solve our problem right now," I offered a small as she nodded her head at me, as if we don't sort this out, we weren't going to go back to normal.

"But we don't know how to fix this," Nova retorted as I cock my head to the console, seeing the powered down console.

"She's not completely dead. If she was, Life support would have gone and the basic systems. Maybe if we could reboot the Tardis, we could see where we stand," I held optimistic in my voice as I was hoping for the best. I shot up from the ground, took a few steps forward, but turned and held stretched my hand out to Nova to take. She smiles at me, as she grips my outer hand and I pull her to her feet in one swift move. "Ok, I need you to pull these two red levers up, when I say," I spoke as we walked to the first panel directly across the door.

"Got it," she states with a nod as I went around the console to where the space-time throttle was stationed. I pulled down the red lever, then the blue one, I could see through the time rotor that Nova had her hands already on the red levers, ready to pull them down when I say. I flipped up the double black switch, before placing my hand on the handbrake.

"Ready?" I asked as my eyes met Nova's through the time rotor casing.

"Whenever you are," she replied with a smirk, making me smile at her.

"Now!" I shout at her as I see her quickly flick the levers up and I pull up the handbrake lever, and just then the Tardis begins to make a wounded whirring sound but the lights in the console room flickered to life, bringing life back to the Tardis. I smiled as the Tardis was back on, but I felt something wrong as the brightness of the room continued to grow, like we were going to be shredded with bright white light. In seconds the console room filled with bright light, making us both cover our eyes from the terrifying light.

The light around us began to dim as I could see through my arm. Once the light faded, I lowered my arm to see a different console room to my own.

"This is my console room," Nova states, looking surprised. The console room was bright, the whole aesthetic was calming and fitting in a way. The console is a hexagonal with instruments resembling a typewriter, a telegraph, a gramophone. Where the hell does someone fit in a gramophone? The console room also consisted of three levels, a lower level where the maintenance happens, the console level and the upper level leading further into the Tardis. Nova ran up the steps to the console, which had a glass flooring around. "Ok if we hurry we can take off," Nova states as she begins to pull levers down and waltzed around the console, pressing buttons here and twisting things there.

"If we take off there's a risk that it won't work," I stress out to her, but she places her hand on the space-time throttle and pulls it down. But suddenly, the Tardis shakes as the wounded whirring sound comes to ear, the one when she can't take off.

"I told you," I state as I walked up the metal steps and came around the console to Nova. "We can't take off, we're still merged we need a way to unmerge and-" I was cut off as the Tardis quakes badly making me lose my footing as I clung on to the golden railing. "Someone's trying to get in," I turned to see the shadows outside, meaning the vamps were awake. "Maybe if we could extend the force field primes, by disabling the rooms that are currently active, maybe we could have a chance of beating the vamps," I rushed out the idea to Nova as her eyes lit up slightly, understanding what I meant as she bit her bottom lip.

"Ok that could work, but my brother is in one of the bedrooms. So we could disable the rooms minus the bedrooms just as a precaution," Nova explained that her brother was in the bedrooms.

"Ok, let's do it," I came over to the navigation panel, a full keyboard was out and I began to type as Nova waltzed around the console disabling the rooms. However, the Tardis was still shaking, as the vamps were still trying to get in. I typed as fast as I could deleting the rooms as Nova was rerouting the power from the now disabled rooms to the shields.

"You think that's enough?" Nova asks.

"One way to find out," I replied back to her as I pressed the enter button on the keyboard. "Try it," I state, raising my gaze to Nova as she held her hand on the space-time throttle before pulling down the left handle.

"Look like it worked," Nova states as her eyes were on the doors, as I twist my head to see the shadows no longer there. "Now to figure out how we are going to get out of this. Since we can't take off while we're still merged," Nova states as she walks over to one of the light brown leather seats, which was close to the steps down to the doors. "Think, think, think... There has got to be something we're missing, but what is it?" Nova spoke aloud wondering what to do in this situation.

"Don't worry, we will figure how to get out of this," I told her as I came around the console to stand in front of her. Nova let out some air, as she looked like she was about to give herself a pep talk.

"Ok, I just need to calm down, keep my wits... We will figure this out somehow, losing your cool is not gonna help anything at all," she spoke in a mumble, but I could understand what she was on about. "Ok, now that I've got that out of my system. Let's focus on figuring this out," she states her eyes now on me, as I offered her a smile.

"Let's do this," I state as I offer my hand out to her, as Nova smiles and latches on.I pulled her up from the seat as she offered me a nod of her head. "Ok, first things first. We send coordinates to the Winchesters so they can deal with the vamps. The shield won't hold long, and we don't have power to waste," I explained the plan to Nova as I marched over to the keyboard and began to type on it, as the boys were in town it would be easier to send the coordinates. In no time the Tardis tracked the phone signal of Dean's and sent the coordinates. "Now just have to wait for them to come," I told Nova who was now behind me as she followed me around the console.

"They better get here soon, the shields won't hold long," she states worried, as her gaze was on the lowing monitor, as it displayed the power of the shield as it kept on losing power. If the boys don't get here soon, we will be blood bags for the vamps...
