Chapter Forty: The Merge {Supernatural}

The Tardis travels through the time vortex, as I was under the console, wires and cables hang loosely around me. Some thick and some small, as I was fixing some wiring problems, in hope to better the shields of the Tardis for future travel and endangerment from blasters. So the shields would absorb the force of the blast and rearrange it through the Tardis. I grabbed two small wires and connected them, sending a little spark out of the copper wires touching. I shot back for a second as the Tardis made a quick whirring sound. I dropped the wires and grabbed a thick cable and a connector that went into it. I shoved the cable into its slot as it fitted in perfectly and the Tardis beep, accepting the changes.

"Brilliant," I state aloud as I ducked out from under the console, and climbed the metal steps up to the first platform and then up again, coming out at the navigation panel. "Now just need to switch the shield's durability," I spoke to myself once again, as I couldn't show off as I had no one to do that too. The shields would turn off only for a nano-second and then switched back on. I began to type on the coloured keypad as sounds came echoing out, as I was rewriting the base code for the shields, changing the variables and the conditions. Once I finished typing in the code, I rose the first blue and then the second sliders up above the keypad. I walked to the right and came stand in front of the flight panel which held the spacetime throttle. I grabbed the blue lever at the end of the rest, and flicked it down as the changing was being made. Suddenly the Tardis judders only slightly, like a car going over a small speed bump. As I stared through the time rotor I saw a ginger haired girl standing on the opposite side, her eyes seemed dazed for a moment, before staring at me through the glass around the time rotor.

"What the hell? Where did you come from? How did you get in here? Who are you?" She rushes out, sort of panicking. But she took her gaze around the console room, her expression dropped like her jaw slightly. "This isn't mine," she began as her eyes travelled back to mine. "What the hell is happening?" She questioned as she came around the console her head flickering back and forth like her head was going to come flying off. But as she came to stand in front of me, her face lit up in recognition about something. "My shields were down. That's has to be how this happened," she held her hands out glancing around once again. "But that doesn't explain how you have a Tardis and who you are?" Her eyes met back to mine staring me down, wanting an answer.

"The names Violet and this is my Tardis," I emphasised 'my' as this was my Tardis. "So, who the hell are you?" I questioned, folding my arms over my chest.

"Nova," she replied straight off the bat.

"What I've gathered from this interaction is that our Tardis's must have merged into one. While we were in the time vortex, both our shields were down and within the nano-second my shields were down. Boom!" I explained the situation to her but that also means she's a Time Lord, but that can't be. Unless...

She began to nod at me. "That makes sense, I didn't realise my shields were down," she began pulling me back from my thoughts. "So when we get this fixed, I need to look into that, to make sure they're on to avoid this from happening again," she states as she chuckles slightly. Suddenly, before I could replay, the white lights that ran around the room turned red, and the cloister bell rang out. "Well that's not good," she replied as the Tardis shook, and sparks began to fly from the console.

"You think!" I raised my voice over the blaring sound of the cloister bell. "The merging of the Tardis's must have created a paradox and we're crashing," I stress out, as more sparks flew from the console and the Tardis began to shake violently. Nova and I began to rush around the console, trying to stabilise her, to make the landing more smoothly, but it was no use. The Tardis slams down onto the ground, making us both lose out footing and fall on the metal floor.

"Ugh I hate crash landings," I hear Nova states as my eyes rose from the ground to see herself gaining to her feet. I quickly got up as the landing wasn't that bad, before I could look where we crashed every light and everything went dark. The only source of light was coming from the small four windows in the doors, but that was barely enough, meaning it was night outside. "Did she just die? Is that what just happened?" Nova asks, as I rose the space time throttle, but it was no use as it wasn't working.

"Yes," I replied as my eyes went around the dark console room, letting out a deep sigh.

"So I guess we're stuck here? Wherever here is?" She asks, making me take my gaze back to her.

"For now," I answered back to her, offering a small smile. "But we need to figure out a way to fix it, but for now let's see where we landed," I suggested the idea to her as she offered me a small nod. Before we moved she began to pat down her pockets, like she was making sure she had certain things on her. I waited a few seconds before she nodded to me, ready to go. I walked around the console and made my way to the doors, once I was there I opened the left Tardis door fully and walked out as Nova was right on my tail. As we stepped out, our surroundings changed, we were in a small alleyway, dumpsters littered around and trash travelling on the wind that passed. But we were at the opening and a pathway was to our left and some patches of grass and a lamppost which was on.

"Look like Earth," Nova announced as I grabbed the cool metal handle of the door and pulled it shut. "But there are plenty of places that look like Earth on the ground, so without the Tardis how do we tell for sure?" She asks, raising her perfectly shaped eyebrows to me. I just smiled at her as I opened my tweed jacket and pulled free my sonic. I walked over to the patch of green under the lamppost - as it was only a few paces away. But the light that emitted shone brightly in the night. I pressed the button on my sonic as a pale pink light came out. After a few seconds of scanning, I stopped pressing the button and flicked my wrist out as the sonic extended. I activated the sonic again as I swirled on the spot, scanning the surrounding area now. Once I came full circle, I stopped and began to read the data.

"Earth. Late 2005ish. Madison, Mississippi, the state," I announced as my eyes travelled up from the sonic to stare at Nova.

"Ok, so Madison, Mississippi in late 2005," she repeated the words I just spoke, getting a grasp of her surroundings. "Nice to know... So what are we going to do to try and fix the Tardis?" Nova asks, but I had no idea, I've never had two Tardis's merge into one. However before I spoke, a white-hot pain generated at the back of my head and I fell to the ground. Before I knew it, darkness crept in my eyes and my vision blurred and then the light went out...

.........

My head was throbbing violently due to being hit in the back of it. My eyes began to flutter open, but they were blurred slightly, but I could make out dirt and hay scattered around the place, meaning we were in a barn. I tried to move my hands but I felt rope around them, and above my head. I shook my head slightly, getting my blurred vision out of the way, as my head tilted up to see that my hands were bound to a wooden beam that went along the barn. I cock my head to the right to see Nova already awake and staring at me.

"How are we going to get outta this one? With our hands bound like this. I can't get to anything in my pockets," Nova states as there were only us two currently positioned in the barn.

"I don't know yet," I replied to her question, as this was clearly a hostage situation. "Got to evaluate the situation first, see what we're up against. As you know, the universe is a big place," I added hoping to lighten the mood. But I notice Nova's head travel to the right corner of the barn, tucked away behind some bays of hay.

"Well that's not good. Whoever took us, also took the Tardis," Nova states in a worried tone, as it wasn't good. The most powerful thing in the known universe, in the hands of our captives. This wasn't good for either of us. Suddenly, the barn doors swung open as night was still upon us, but six men came in, each were a range of different heights, only a few inches from them all. But they all had one thing in common, which was they were extremely pale looking, even in the night. The man in the middle came strolling towards us as his men dotted around, hitching seats on the hay or leaning against the wooden fences that are used to store horses in.

"So which one of you is going to tell us where you came from and what that blue box is?" The leader of the men announced, his voice deep and rough. He had piercing blue eyes, his hair raven black, and was kind of short looking.

"You know kidnapping is not the way to get answers," Nova began her eyes staring into the man's. "You could just have asked, didn't need to knock us both out in the back of the bloody head," Nova states with sass, as she was a fiery redhead. The leader turned his attention to Nova, holding a dark gaze.

"Oh you think being smart is going to get you somewhere?" He questioned tilting his head slightly to her. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Nova crack a smirk as my eyes were on her. My expression gave off a 'what the hell' look as I think she was trying to get us killed. Nova turned her gaze back to the man, ready to give him a piece of her mind.

"Well actually, I wasn't being smart, it's called sass and I've got plenty of it to go around. I could even sass you in a lot of different languages and most of them you wouldn't even understand," she states in a sassy tone and if she could click her fingers. I think she would have done it. The leader narrowed his eyes at her, his dark gaze got even darker but his head turned slightly to the closer guy.

"Shut her up," he demanded his man to do so, who gave a wide smile.

"Gladly," he replied, lifting himself from the post of the barn and walking over to Nova. While he walked, his smile widened but pointed looking teeth extended down from his gum, hiding his regular teeth.

"What?!" Nova was cut off as the man-thing pulled free a cloth and shoved it into her mouth, keeping her quiet. I struggled against the ropes that held me up as they could be a lot worse to us if they were given a chance, but at this moment in time they wanted information.

"What about you?" The leader of the gang turned his head to me, eyeing me up. "Are you gonna answer me? And don't get smart like your friend here," he nodded his head slightly to Nova. I gazed at him with a calculating look as I needed a way out of here. If we could get free, we could get into the Tardis and hide in there.

"Why does it matter what it is or where we came from?" I began as I was trying to get information of my own from him. "We weren't bothering you or anyone else," it was true as we just landed here. But the answer I gave the man, he didn't like. He snarled at me, revealing the same set of pointed sharp teeth that the guy in front of Nova had. They could be Aliens, but they didn't seem like Aliens because they would know not to mess with me. So what in the world were they...

................

The leader of the group questioned me, but I always dodged the answer he always wanted with goofy remarks and comments that they clearly didn't understand. The leader groans loudly once again, knowing he wasn't going to get anything from me. He turns sharply on his heels, staring at Nova before his eyes turn to the guy who put the cloth in her mouth. He nods to him as he comes forward and rips the cloth from her mouth, allowing her to talk once again.

"Thank you for that," Nova began as she stares at the guy who took the gag out before turning to look at the leader. "I was getting ready to ask a question before you cut me off - which was rude by the way," she was a sassy little girl, I'll give her that, even in the face of danger.

"What was your question?" The leader asks, his voice deep and low.

"Really?" Nova was taken by surprise for a moment as we didn't think he would allow his captives a question. "Ok, well, my question is why do your teeth look like that? Like I've seen a lot of things, but never seen teeth like that before. Are you some kind of Alien?" Nova asked, wondering what they truly were.

"Aliens?" He states baffled, cocking his head between his fellow men before landing on Nova. "No. We're vampires," both Nova and my eyes widened in surprise, but she held more excitement in them as she was seeing a real vampire.

"Like Real vampires? Blood drinking, can't have garlic, and can't be in direct sunlight, vampires?" Nova rolled out the questions a tad bit excited in this. The vamps all stared at one another and chuckled, it was like a chorus of chuckles.

"Yes real vampires," he replied, his chuckle died down as he knitted his eyebrows together in confusion like there was more than one different type of vampire. But this put us more in danger as they were lethal and dangerous.

"Don't kill us, we're worth more to you alive and if you ever want to know what that is," my head nodded to the Tardis as the leader locked eyes with me. "Then you'll need us. Alive," I state confidently as I couldn't show weakness right now. The leader's eyes narrow at me as with a blink of an eye he stood right in front of me, his sharp teeth on show, as his hand rose up to my hair and began to twirl the ends like I was a toy to him.

"I would never dream of it... Well not yet anyway," he states in a deep cringy voice, making the hairs stand on the back of my neck as I turn away from his gaze. His finger traveled from my hair to my cheek before it slid down my jawline and to my chin. He grabs it roughly and forces me to lock eyes with him. "We have all the time in the world, sweetness. But you, haven't," he replied while a smug smirk came to his lips, making me just want to punch it right off. He roughly shoves my chin away from him as he lets go and begins to walk away, and out of the barn, his crew follows him out. Then the barn doors shut behind them, leaving us both here to rot away, well until we've given up hope and gave in and told him who we are and what that is.

"I had him talking," Nova states as I turn my head to the right to see her staring at me.

"Oh sorry, I thought you were going to fangirl over him all night," I remarked as I tugged on the ropes that bound my wrists. "If I could get my sonic out, I could zap the ropes," I mumbled to myself, but Nova heard it as she scoffed at my comment.

"No point," she replied as I stopped wiggling on the spot and looked at her. "Your sonic is in your inner pocket, you can't get it out," she states as she was right as much as I wanted it to come out, I couldn't. Wish I still had those powers...

"Ok, what's your plan? Or would you like another shot at twenty questions with Edward out there," I remarked once again, nodding my head to the barn doors. My gaze travelled back to Nova just in time to see her roll her eyes at me.

"I was just trying to get information out of him. You weren't getting anywhere with it and at least I had him talking," Nova replied to my comment, but we didn't need him talking, we needed to get the hell out of here. I shook my head at her, as I looked back up and started to tug on the rope, hoping it would come loose and let me free.

"A group of hunters are in town," a deep male voice - which belonged to the leader of the vamps, could be heard from outside of the barns, making me stop struggling and listen in

"Who?" Another one of the deep voice vamp asked.

"The Winchesters," as the vampire spoke the words my expression dropped, and my eyes widened in shock but also relief. If Sam and Dean are in town, it means that these vamps aren't that good at snatching people. "You know what this means? Someone hasn't been being discreet enough" The leader kind of sounded pissed that they weren't discreet enough in kidnapping people...

But will this mean they will come save us?
