Bar Fight Rewrite
New idea: Remaster stuff on nights when I can't sleep while on vacation. That should keep me busy. I'm doing this first because the old one looked like [ngyes].
"Well, here I am. Lucas's bar. Heard they had good whiskey." Matt was standing in front of the bar's doors, shades on top of his forehead rather than over his eyes. He pushed the door open carefully, making sure not to cause a ruckus. The place was well-lit, a bar on the left with tables scattered here and there, a pool table in the corner where two Inklings were playing. One was winning, one wasn't, as Matt could see. He walked over to the bar, sat down on a stool, and looked for the bartender. There were a few others in the joint, mostly male, but a few females. He didn't care, just wanted a drink.
He knocked on the bar, trying to attract anyone behind it, and someone popped up from it on the left. It was Matt's friend, Lucas. "Matt! You made it!" He said with a cheerful tone, going to where Matt was. He raised his hand up for a high five, which Matt quickly returned. "Of course I'd make it. I don't have a day job." He chuckled. Lucas made sure the place was fine, before looking back at him. "So, what can I get ya?" He asked. "Got any whiskey?" He answered. Lucas went to the right, looked under the bar, and found a bottle. He slid it to Matt on the bar top, who caught it, and without using a bottle opener, used his hand to open it up.
He took a swig. "Damn that's good stuff!" He yelled with a smile. No one else cared, they were doing their own thing. "Thanks! It's not easy getting that stuff. Or cheap. Haha!" Lucas replied with a laugh. "I think I'll just..." Matt downed the whole bottle. "That's more... like it." He burped in the middle of his sentence. "Can I get another one? I can pay." Matt asked Lucas. He just passed Matt another bottle. He downed it in three swigs. "How are you so good at this?" Lucas asked the half-drunk Matt. "It's a little... thing called being ...,*burp* half-Scottish, lad..." He could barely keep his sentences together. "Just keep... the bottles *burp* comin'..." Lucas felt reluctant, but he did anyway.
Two more bottles later, he was straight up rambling. "If I wasn't the man I was I'd kiss ye..." He said to an awkward feeling Lucas. Normally, anyone else would collapse by now, but he was still awake. Suddenly, some Inklings entered the bar. They looked suspicious. They walked to the bar and passed the drunk Matt. The first of the four looked at Lucas, banged his elbows on the bar, and pointed a knife at him. "Give us the money, and you won't get hurt." He said as Lucas put his arms up. Suddenly, Matt looked at them, squinted, and drunkedly staggered toward them."Hey, if you *burp* think you're gonna *burp* get away with robbing him on *burp* my watch, then you've got another *burp* thing coming..." He could barely say that. The leader just laughed at him, and so did the other three.
"Does this guy defend you or something? What a retard!" He said. "Now get out of our wa-" He was cut short by Matt throwing a hard right hook to his face, Matt's drunkedness made his Scottish side come out. "Not one of ye's gonna survive this!" He yelled out without a burp. Two of the others gunned for him, but he grabbed them both and slammed their heads together, knocking them out. The fourth guy tried to punch him, but it didn't do anything. Matt was too drunk to feel pain. He punched him square in the chest, and grabbed him by the neck to throw him to the other two.
The leader from before got up. "You... You're gonna pay for this!" He yelled before coming at Matt with the knife. He stabbed Matt in the arm, to no effect. "That's gonna hurt in the mornin'." He said while looking at where he was stabbed. He punched the leader in the stomach, and like the other one, grabbed him by the neck. But instead of just throwing him at the ground, he threw him out the window and into the street. He took the other three and dragged their unconscious bodies out the bar's door. "Tell yer mothe's you'll need 'em to kiss yer wounds, ya wee little babbies!" He yelled, still drunk.
He went back into the bar, and with a heavy thud, landed on one of the tables. Lucas approached him. "Hey man, thanks for that. You helped me out there. You are gonna have to pay for the window, though." He told Matt, who could barely understand what he was saying. "Wha? Oh, y'welcome, lad... Hey, could ya give me a ride home? I'm too drunk to drive..." He took his car keys from inside his jacket pocket and tossed them to Lucas, who caught them with ease. "Oh, sure. Don't want you getting in an accident." He picked up Matt, and carried him to his custom Vios.
He drove him home, while Matt was stuck in the passenger seat, still rambling. "Hey, did I ever tell ya that time I..." He didn't finish the sentence. He fell asleep. Lucas parked in Moray Towers' garage, then carried Matt to the elevator. They went up to the thirtieth floor, where Matt lived. They went to apartment 3013, Matt's apartment. He knocked on the door with one hand, while holding Matt with the other. The door began to unlock, and when it opened, Kinzie was there to greet them both. She looked at Matt, and raised an eyebrow. "He got drunk and beat up a bunch of dudes." Lucas told her. She just blinked. "Give him to me. I'll take care of him." Lucas gave Matt to her, and said goodbye. Kinzie did the same and closed, then locked the door.
"Oh Matt, do you ever run out of trouble to get yourself into?"
