Chapter Thirty-one

i get why kiaras in love with you

3rd person pov

they had alot to figure out as soon as they got home but amelia decided that the first and only thing to do was to go to work and figure everything out. it was her shop and she needed to get it back in business, she had the money from the shop and she could save it with the money in her savings. she knew that the others would have to figure something out but she decided to stay on her own and work on her own shit. so as soon as they got back from south america, she seperated herself from the others and went to the shop. she took a shower and she cleaned it up and she reopened it for business. she got in contact with the bank and paid off the property taxes because she had her own money. 

and while she did that, she heard about the pogues adventures and how much money they had. they came and talked to her everyday until she finally opened the door and told them about the money she was bringing back into the shop. since she had been back, people had come to see her so much and buy her things that she had gotten sold out of things twice now and her business was booming yet again. 

so there she sat when the door swung open and in walked pope with a rage on his face and she stood up. she closed the door and walked over as she put her hands on her best friends shoulders and she helped him calm down 

"breathe, whats going on?" she asked the man and he turned to her as he rested his head against her shoulder and she held him. she and kiara had plans later in the day but pope and his emotions mattered more in the moment 

"its just, we had the money and went to buy the house and jj spent most of our money on it. we have barely anything left and i tried to explain that we have property taxes and this and that but he just doesn't fucking listen and now im stuck in this money rut because he was scared that someone else was gonna snag the house and he got money hungry" pope ranted and she sighed as she rubbed his shoulders and nodded 

" So what are you gonna do are you gonna try to get the money back are you gonna see if there's something that you can do or are you guys gonna start up that business and get some money?" she asked and he sighed 

" I came here because I want to know how you would do it I mean you run a business on your own and it's booming and you've sold out twice since you came home and I'm just curious on how you do it without panicking" he told her and she nodded 

" Because it's a business pope nothing ever comes from easiness. The one thing I learned is that failure is an option and sometimes failing isn't bad it can be a good thing you are allowed to be mad at JJ for doing that shit with your money because he knew better but you have to figure out how to make this work" she stated and he nodded and sighed 

"you've always been a really good friend and im sorry that i haven't been there for you lately lia" he told her and she shrugged 

"we're friends pope, friends fight" she exclaimed and he smiled 

"i get why kiaras in love with you" He said and she laughed with a smile as she nudged him and she shook her head. she looked at the time and sent him on his way. she remembered that in a few days, there was going to be the stupid bike thing and she would have to go as everyone else did but she dind't want to. not if rafe was going to be there. 

so later that night, her and kiara went on a date to the beach and they ate fruits and watched the water and everything was perfect. they fell asleep on the beach holding each other, amelia couldn't have wished for anything more. 

that was until saturday when the bike race would happen. she got there and she stood next to kiara and sarah as they looked at jj and she sighed as she wrapped her arm around kiara and she watched closely 

"he did some stupid shit again didn't he?" she asked and sarah nodded her head in the direction of her sister. amelia held sarahs hand and she sighed as she smiled

"pope told me about the house, im really sorry that hes not thinking about this guys" she said and kiara nodded 

"and turns out he just bid the last gold chunk on himself so if he loses we're fucked and our final option is this stupid blackbeard shit" kiara told her and amelia sighed and smacked her forehead 

"sometimes i think i just need to smack him upside the head" she said and next thing they knew the race was starting and jj stalled out at the beginning. amelia held out hope for him until the end where he jumped the bassin and got ahead of everyone but it didn't do much as rafe was right on his tail and caught up to him. they both crashed and topper won. amelia ran over to help jj up and she turned to rafe as she shoved him 

"you never will fucking change huh?" she asked and he scoffed as he stared at her and then he walked off and away from her. jj had lost their money and the next stop was blackbeard, so thats what they did. the next day, they went to the groffs residence and they were let in by a man. 

a man that amelia got the creeps from and she didn't like where it was going at all. they followed after him and she looked around the room and she sighed 

"sar, i don't like this" she told her and sarah nodded in agreement but they still walked in and thats when amelia realized that they had made a mistake. 

a huge mistake and they were gonna regret it
