Chapter Thirty

blackbeard? holy shit

3rd Person pov

after they got off the plane, they got on a bus and drove around Mexico trying to find the others. amelia held kiaras hand as the man in front of them told them about the map 

"so right here, you have tesoro, up here orinoco and they say up here, el dorado" he  told them and amelia made eye contact with kiara 

"wait a minute, if it hasn't been found how do people say its up there?" amelia asked the man and kiara nodded 

"some people believe it doesn't exist, some people say its hidden and only one very special person can find it but most people its maldito" he said 

"maldito?" kiara asked 

"cursed" amelia and jose said at the same time 

"how do you know Spanish?" kiara asked her girlfriend 

"I'm columbian" she told her and kiara nodded in understanding. 

"over the years, people who go up, don't come back" he said and amelia sighed and nodded. she leaned her head on kiaras shoulder and stared into space before the bus stopped and they stayed on it until they saw pope and cleo running at them

"hola mi amigos" amelia called 

"we gotta go, there are people after us" cleo said and amelia jumped out of the bus with kiara as they looked at pope and cleo waiting for them to come up with a plan of some sorts. 

"okay we just need to go , now" amelia said and they went and hid behind some fruits as they heard the man talking to jose and they held hands as they waited for them to leave 

"welcome to south America" cleo said and amelia groaned. she knew what that meant and she hated it. she didn't want to be here, she didn't want to be on a rescue mission, she wanted to be back home with nothing to worry about. living her life but that wasnt where she was.  they found jj and he led them to barracuda mike but amelia stayed back and didn't hear anything that was being said as she looked around. 

he got them on the rig and amelia leaned back as she stared at the roof of the boat and kiara sighed. she laid down with amelia and turned to her 

"how ya doing?" kiara asked her and amelia shrugged as she looked around and saw jj with pope and cleo. jj held popes hand as cleo watched them with a smile on her face and she laughed. after a while, they went off to the side only to see singh and his men go after the others and amelia looked at everyone 

"they're after john b and sarah" jj said and amelia stood up 

"they arent getting my sister" she exclaimed and she started the boat back up as she began to go after singh and them but she stayed back to make sure they wouldn't see them or hear them. 

it took them the whole day but they got there and saw singhs guys standing on the dock making amelia scoff and shake her head. they ran to the building and jj wrote a note and then from there it was a fight. his men left and amelia watched jj and pope celebrate 

"we didn't do shit, now lets go get my sister back" amelia told them and they began to walk up the hill and to where they would find them. amelia and kiara stayed back as jj, pope and cleo walked in front of them. 

"hey you guys find anything?" amelia called to them and they turned to her and kiara 

"yeah, the path leads this way, so I think they went this way" pope said and amelia nodded as they continued to walk and kiara stared at her girlfriend. amelia was determined and kiara didn't know how to feel about it. soon enough they heard a blast and they all looked at each other 

"was that them?" amelia asked 

"I think so" kiara said. they hid behind a rock as they watched ward aim the gun at sarah and amelia scoffed yet again 

" I'm not just going to stand here" she told them 

"lia wait" pope called but she had already jumped over the rock and stood behind ward holding a pipe up 

"back away from my sister , ward" amelia called and he turned to his other daughter who held a deadly look in her eye 

"amelia" sarah breathed out and amelia smiled at her 

"hi sar" she said making sarah laugh before they remembered what was happening in front of their eyes. 

"amelia you don't understand" he fought and she scoffed 

"I understand perfectly and what I have to say is that big john may not be the best and yeah he's made mistakes but he's not the one pointing a gun at his daughter and he's also not the one choosing the gold when he has a perfect fucking life" she said and she stepped forward more and more until the gun was touching her chest and she stared at him 

"amelia don't make me do this" he said and she laughed 

"do what? shoot your own daughter? you've already choked one of us, drugged us and made our lives a living hell. pull the trigger ward because all I know is that you are one hell of shitty man but you could never pull the trigger, not on your own fucking daughter" she said and then she heard yelling as she turned to see jj, kiara, pope and cleo running at ward. 

"what are you gonna do shoot us all?" pope asked the man and amelia nodded her head at him. then john b stepped in front of the gun 

"stop.enough" sarah said and she did the same thing that amelia did but amelia held her hand and the gun was pressed to their arms. 

"don't" he told them 

"you're not gonna kill all of us. i know you wont. i know you, we know you. you forget that we know you" sarah told him and he lowered the gun as sarah took it and handed it to amelia, making ward sob. 

"I couldn't , I couldn't do it" he told them 

"yeah, well I can" a man said as he walked to them and pointed the gun at john bs hand, not seeing the gun in amelias hand. 

"toss it" he told john b 

"take it easy bud, your boss is dead, you've got no reason to do this" big john told ryan 

"I can think of a few reasons. toss it" he told john b who dropped the gun and kicked it making amelia grip hers harder. 

"thought you'd end up with the gold ,eh? alright, nobody move. my mate back there is dead, because of you. you go first" he said to sarah making amelia raise her gun and shoot him in the chest before ward ran and speared him. kiara stared at amelia in shock as they walked to the edge and looked at wards dead body 

"I'm here, I'm right here" amelia told her sister as she held her and let her cry. amelia felt the tears drip down her face before pope called to john b and they looked to see big john was fading out too. they soon all left together and got on the boat as they begin to trek back to land. 

amelia sat next to jj and she wrapped her arm around him knowing how hard it was. he leaned his head on her shoulder and she rubbed his back before she looked to see john b doing the same thing to john b. kiara sighed and smiled at amelia taking care of jj. 

they all listened to big john and amelia cried with the others as they went and buried him in the ground  and it was over for them. ward was dead, they had found el dorado and the gold. everything they had been looking for, everything that led them to the future. they had got it and now what would happen? 

-18 MONTHS LATER -

amelia sat next to kiara as they listened to the man at the podium in front of them. 

"an expedition of one man, john routledge, and a group of teenagers who are with us today. locals, who grew up here and who succeeded where centuries of conquistadors, explorers and admirals failed. today, we come together to celebrate these teens. friends from both sides of the island who came together to solve this 500 year old mystery. lets hear it for 'em" he said and everyone cheered for them. 

"don't look at them" amelia told kiara who nodded and refused to look at her parents. after a while, they all got up and walked away, jj was talking and they all listened. sarah and john b separated and amelia smiled at her sister. 

"amelia" she heard and she turned to see wheezie. 

"wheeze, holy shit. you're here" she said and she ran over to her sister as she hugged her and held her closely. 

"you did it" wheezie told her and amelia laughed and smiled 

"I don't care about it honestly, I just miss you wheeze. how are you? how are things at home? are you okay?" she asked as she led wheezie to sit down and once they did, wheezie began to tell her everything. that was until kiara walked over 

"this guy just told them something about blackbeard being involved in another mystery" kiara told her girlfriend 

"blackbeard? holy shit" she said 

and it was clear . that this was only the beginning

and that is the ending of matilda for right now. as we all know obx has already gotten confirmed for season 4 so yay for that. we will be back and amelia will be too. i hope you guys enjoyed this season and I will see you again. love abby and amelia.
