Yeah She's My Girlfriend

3rd Person POV

the next monday, amelia, jj, pope and kiara sat in class together as they took the test and ignored each other . that was until there was a knock at the door and in came a man

"Mr. Sunn, can i borrow pope for a minute?" the man asked the teacher and amelia made eye contact with kiara as they both shrugged

"we're in the middle of a test" mr sunn spoke

"i'm from the vanderhorst foundation" the man stated

"mr. heyward it's for you" mr.sunn exclaimed as they all looked up and pope got up as he walked out following the man , after 1 minute pope walked back in holding a letter

"pope what is that?" amelia asked in confusion.

"is that the wheat symbol?" kiara questioned as pope held up the letter to them

"yeah" pope replied

"what the f-fu-fu fudge?" JJ said and amelia laughed under her breathe

"good save" she whispered and JJ smiled sarcastically at her. when the class ended, amelia held kiara hand and they walked to the library and sat at a laptop

"okay, so that guy was from the scholarship committee. take a look at this read it" pope said handing the letter to jj

"out loud" Kiara said

" i can't read cursive" JJ said and kiara took the note back as amelia leaned on her forearms looking at the note

"dear mr. heyward, i am reaching out because i have material evidence that can exonerate john b. routledge. it is of vital importance that you come and meet with me in person at my offices at 27 king street, charleston at 8:00 pm sharp tonight. please come alone. regards, c.limbrey " Kiara read

"charleston?" JJ and amelia said together

" it's like an eight hour drive plus the ferry" Pope stated

"yeah we should've left last night" amelia exclaimed

"me and kie have free period" Amelia told them

"material evidence? what does that even mean, material evidence?" JJ questioned

"it means that they can clear john b" Kiara said

"we have to go to charleston guys" amelia said

"i have to tell my mom. look, if we get it this time, we are not giving it to shoupe" Kiara said

"definitely not. he's a prick" amelia agreed

"also who the fuck is c.limbrey?" Amelia said

"says here that they might be related to the royal merchant, guys we have to go and we have to go now" Pope said and they agreed as they got their backpacks and drove to kiaras house. amelia stayed in the car with pope and jj

"so like you and kiara?" pope asked and amelia looked at him

"yeah she's my girlfriend, why? what's up?" amelia said and JJ smiled at the word girlfriend

"oh nothing it's just..." pope led off

"pope i get it, you liked her but she's my girlfriend and i'm in love with her" she said and they watched as kiara fought her mother

" Did you take the car from your dad pope?" Amelia asked and pope sighed

" Yeah I undid the intake valves in the Carburetor. Made it start pinging" Pope explained

" And now you're just gonna take it to your cousin Jeff's house. Just going to get it fixed. Crash overnight" JJ said

"JJ I think you're rubbing off on pope" Amelia said

" Yeah I think I am too" he agreed

" Listen I'd say we have about 18 hours before he absolutely loses his shit so as long as we get back before then, I think we're good" Pope said and walked to the car

" I'll bring them back I swear Miss Carrera I'll bring her back and she'll be safe OK" Amelia said

" This shit would be so much easier without parents" Kiara said and amelia took in a breathe. her father didn't treat her like his daughter, her mother was dead and rose was a horrible stepmother

they drove to the ferry and the car got loaded on. kiara and amelia sat next to each other on the truck and amelia stared at the sky

" My parents are so paranoid of me being a pogue like it's the worst thing that could ever happen" Kiara said

" But while we're Kooks kie they honestly think that we were bred to be Kooks and that we can explore ourselves" Amelia told her girlfriend

" hey, I heard they got good weed up boarding school, though" JJ said and amelia laughed

" I'm not going to boarding school. They're gonna have to kidnap me, tie me up , and throw me in a van" Kiara stated

"that's dramatic" amelia whispered

" Well, I say... We just crumble some herb right now" JJ said and he handed he weed to kiara before sitting down

" Hey, Kie , have you tried to hit Jon B. back on the number yet?" Pope asked

" Like 20 million times" Kiara said

" Yeah and I tried to but nothing radio silence" Amelia said

" Some random lady at a hospital keeps answering" Kiara stated

" Well, until I hear from them again, we got to try and clear's name. Right now, this letters our best bet" Pope said

" Right. Stay on test. That's why I love you Pope" JJ said and amelia smiled as kiara went to hand pope the weed and she handed it back to jj

" I'll take that. Do tricks now! Roll over, boy!" JJ said and amelia laughed

" Try to catch fish. Catch a fish" Kiara said

"you're both so fucking weird" amelia said as she took popes hat and put it over her eyes. she laid on the bed of the truck and tried to sleep but that stopped when they got to the dock

they drove the truck off and started to drive to limbrey.

"guys I read this thing like 1000 times. It makes no sense" Kiara said and amelia kneeled over to looked at the note

" I mean, the limbreys own, like, half of Charleston. What would the coop kings of Charleston know about a murder on Killdare Island?" kiara asked

" Yeah it's really questionable. And why are you pope? They asked for just you that's the other fucked up thing" Amelia exclaimed and kiara read the note again

" Please come alone. That's hella sus" kiara exclaimed

" I was thinking the same thing. I think it's because..." and he trailed off as the truck started to smoke

" Oh come on" pope said

" What a lovely way to start this trip yay" amelia exclaimed sarcastically

" What's that? Pull over. That's a lot of smoke, even for your dad's truck" Kiara said and jj rolled up the window

" Pop, I got sensitive lungs, man" JJ said

" Pope just pull over just slow down and pull over" Amelia said and they watched pope have trouble with the truck before pulling over and getting out

" No no no no no no no no no no no no no" Pope said

" It's going to blow up" kiara said as they got out

" It's not gonna blow up kiara pope probably just unhook the radiator" Amelia said as she got out with them

" I haven't seen this before. You knocked the entire hubcap off. You might want to reschedule your meeting tonight, pope" JJ stated

" Plan B? We could, public transportation. We could hitch hike. We could rent bikes" Kiara listed off

" My dad's gonna kill me" Pope said

" The possibility for that is really high but probably yeah" Amelia agreed. they called the tow truck and got picked up. when they got there, pope went and talked to the man

" We're in the middle of nowhere. Dudes in heaven right now" and he started to talk before looking at amelia and making eye contact

" Are you OK?" jj asked her

" I thought my sister was dead, my dad's a murderer, my brothers a murderer and the rest of my family sucks. JJ you guys are my new family and I can't I can't lose you guys too. I love you guys too much" amelia said and jj hopped in the back hugging her. kiara leaned forward and hugged her girlfriend before they watched pope walk inside and they followed him

" 370 ? Are you serious?" Pope asked

" Oh yeah man" the man said

" lia , are you sure your parents are OK with letting you pay for this? Because" Pope asked amelia

" Oh no way in hell but we're already a day late from going home and I hate my family and since two of them are murderers they can only kill me once so just let me do this" Amelia said and she handed the man the money

he took it and they left. they drove to a field and laid down on the bed of the truck

"night everyone" Pope said and amelia smiled at him

"night popey. night love" she said and she kissed kiara before they fell asleep. the next morning, they woke up and started to drive to charleston

"i wonder where john b and sarah are right now" JJ said

"safe i hope" amelia said and they agreed

amelia only hoped they could get to charleston and save john b and sarah

she missed her sister but at least she had her girlfriend
