Chapter Eight
He's My Dad Pope

3rd Person POV

kiara and amelia and fallen asleep on the dock that night. amelia held kiara close the whole night and part of the morning. that was until 8:30 when the sun finally hit amelia's face and she sat up with kiara. she felt the slight sunburn on her and she looked at kiara. she looked peaceful and calm

amelia liked this moment, this moment felt calm and safe. pope came running to them and amelia had to shake kiara awake. pope smiled at them even though he didn't know who he liked anymore

he couldn't like amelia , she was a lesbian but he felt safe with her. kiara though she was pretty and he knew that he liked her but in this moment, amelia and kiara made sense. they had always made sense even if he didn't want to admit it

"come on we're going to john bs" pope said and amelia stood up with kiara. they walked to kiaras car and got in. pope drove them to john bs and there sat jj with his feet in the hot tub

"AMELIAAA" JJ yelled in happiness to see her

"JJ" she yelled as she ran over and hugged him. she sat in the hot tub with jj and waited as kiara and pope set things up. jj spoke up

"john b pullin a houdini" he said and amelia laughed as kiara smiled at her girlfriend

"yeah, where is he?" pope asked

"with my dad or no wait a minute here he is" Amelia stated as they watched john b stomp through the yard and into the chateau

"uh.. what's that all about?" pope questioned

" i don't know but i have a feeling it has to do with my dad" Amelia exclaimed as she stood up and followed john b into the house

"what are you looking for?" kiara asked and they watched john b rumble through things until he pulled out the gun and amelia's breathe stopped

"john b, what do you need the gun for?" JJ asked as he stepped forward but amelia pulled him back

"talk to us!" amelia yelled and john b ran out as they followed

"john b, what the hell?" kiara yelled

"ward knows about the gold, he killed my dad" John b said and he rode off. pope turned to amelia and watched her face drain of blood

"amelia" pope said and they all turned to look at her

"he's my dad pope" she said and she got her bike out of kiaras car. she hopped on it and drove off. leaving them behind, she went home and into her room. this was her biggest fear, her father was the monster she'd known he was all along

she went to her bathroom and she threw up. she ignored the texts from jj or pope or kiara or anyone because quite frankly nothing could help this.

sarah ran into her room and hugged her. she held onto her sister and cried

" he told you?" amelia asked and sarah nodded sadly

"it's okay i've gotcha" amelia told her sister and she let her cry. she fell asleep holding her sister in her arms tightly. the next morning sarah was gone and so was wheezie and the others. amelia left through the front door and she went to john bs house

"john b please tell me you didn't hurt my dad" amelia said as they all turned to her and she realized pope wasn't there

"no no amelia i didn't and i'm sorry for scaring you like that" He said and he stood up as he walked over and hugged her. he let go and kiara hugged her tightly

"my dads a horrible person john b and i believe you" She said softly and they all looked at her

" you do?" Kiara asked in confusion

"my dads a homophobic asshole who lets my brother run around and do what he wants. sarah is a free bird and wheezie doesn't know half of the shit that goes on in the family. you guys are my family now and i trust you guys" she stated and they all stood up hugging her . that was when pope came running to them and they all let go

"pope? how did the interview go?" Amelia asked pope

"don't ask. OK JB look, I'm sorry, dude. About everything. But I don't have a lot of time, and and I have information that it's tactically relevant. So, before I had my interview, my dad said he was going down to the private airstrip to cut palms for Cameron's big plane. Because it was too heavy, and need a longer landing ship to takeoff. So, I'm sitting near my interview, thinking to myself, why would Cameron need a longer airstrip to take off? What could be so heavy to weigh it down?"
pope asked to them

"gold" JJ and Amelia said together

" Exactly. Guys, this is a chance, but it leaves tonight, and we have to go." Pope told them

" Guys, we can't give Up now" Kiara said and she stood up as she grabbed amelia's hand

" What's the plan big man?" JJ asked john b

" We're going to steal that shit back" John b stated and Amelia nodded as she ran with them to the car. amelia got in the drivers seat and they drove to the airstrip

" Go in there guns a blazing, make board came and beg for mercy, abscond with as much gold is possible and Vamonos, get the hell out of there" JJ said and amelia's breathe was caught in her throat

" Send That shit straight down the inter coastal" john b spoke

"wait for the weather" kiara stated

"exit to cuba" Pope said

"dude the bahamas" Amelia said and kiara smiled at her

" Cuba? The Bahamas? No, man, xcalak , Jewel of the Yucatán. Lobster so thick, mangoes, and no words for money" JJ said as he put the bullets in his gun

" Let's do this shit" john b said as amelia continued to drive. they got to the airstrip and got out

" What's the plan? Broad strokes" kiara asked

" I don't think we got that far" John b spoke

" Well I love when a plan comes together" Amelia said as they looked through the fence

" They're loading up the gold" Pope said and John b took the binoculars

" There's ward" He said and amelia sighed as she watched her sister get out of the car with him

" What? What?" Kiara asked

"it's sarah" John b announced

"she's with him?" pope said and amelia sighed

"not voluntarily" she said and amelia's watched her father grab her sister

" Wait a minute! He's hurting her"

"what?" kiara , amelia and jj said at the same time

"they're fighting" amelia said and she turned to john b but he was already going to the car

"YO JOHN B STOP" she yelled as she ran after him

"DONT BE A HERO DUDE STOP" jj yelled after john b but he drove away

"guys we can't be here" amelia said and kiara agreed

"this was only look bad" she continued and they ran away from the airstrip. amelia holding kiaras hand and them running

she could only hope that it would end and be okay. she could only hope that her sister and john b would be okay

she only hoped
