Chapter Seven
Fucking Barry

3rd Person POV

amelia drove them home last night and she let kiara sleep over. her and kiara held each other close until the morning. the next morning they drove to john bs and met up with sarah and the others

"he said it looked something like this" kiara said pointing to the drawing

"so that's 50 feet down, and they're using 100-feet rope so i guess this little wagon will go straight to the gold room" Kiara said

"who drew this?" sarah asked

"who do you think?" kiara questioned and they looked at pope who was already staring at them

"kie! this better work!!" JJ said as he came over and dropped the gold close to amelia's foot

"jesus jj too close" Amelia said

"sorry , we can't pawn this if there's a giant wheat symbol on it" JJ said and amelia smiled at him

"it's gonna work" kiara said as she held up a torch and left the van with amelia and sarah. amelia watched as she torched the gold and she smiled at john b and sarah

"okay next movement: the pawn shop, jj will sell it off" John b said and Amelia jumped in the twinkie as the others got in and she drove them. when they got the pawn shop, amelia stopped and looked at kiara who sat in the passenger seat

"you coming?" kiara asked and amelia shook her head

"probably shouldn't, the lady knows me and i'm not the best in bad situations" Amelia said and kiara leaned forward kissing amelia on the cheek

"we'll be back soon" She said and Sarah smiled at the two of them

"bye lia" pope said and he dapped him up as they got out of the car and amelia stayed parked. she turned on the radio and waited for them. she scrolled through her phone and the thousand text messages from rafe

she waited for them as she ignored the text from rafe and then she looked up as kiara hopped in the passenger seat and the others jumped in behind her

"so what's the plan?" Amelia asked as she started the twinkie and looked at kiara

"the money is at a warehouse on resurrection drive" JJ told her and she started to drive towards there

"directions?" she asked

"i've never even heard of resurrection drive" Sarah announced and JJ scoffed

"cause you're rich" JJ said and amelia hit him in the head

"you've never heard of it either jj" she said and she continued to drive until a police car pulled up

"god! are you kidding me?" JJ yelled

"nothing fucking bitchass cops, i hate all of them but peterkin" Amelia said and she pulled over

"jj stash the gold and your weed" she told him and she turned to be met with the front of a gun

"put your hands in the air pretty girl" He said and kiara gasped

"amelia?" Kiara said and amelia looked at her

"i'm okay just listen to him" Amelia said and she got out of the car and walked around the front opening kiaras door and then the others door

"get out the car! let's go! hurry up!" He yelled at them and amelia grabbed kiaras hand and squeezed. amelia heard jj yelling back but she didn't focus

"lay down in the ditch! lay down in the ditch!" he continued and then he got in the twinkie

"it's a setup guys" kiara said and they watched john b stand up as he started to walk away. amelia held kiara and popes hands as john b ran to the car and hid

"stay just like that unless you want your brains blown out" he exclaimed and he walked to the car as john h hit him. amelia ran over and kicked barry in the knee as jj and kiara punched him

" i got the gold" pope yelled as Amelia kicked him in the back and he fell to the ground

"i know this piece of shit!" JJ said as they pulled down barry's mask

"fucking barry, he sells to rafe" Amelia said and JJ grabbed his wallet

"we got one more stop" jj said and they walked to the twinkle. JJ got in the drivers seat and they drove to barry's

"jj i don't like this, we shouldn't be here" amelia said

"this will only take a second" JJ said and he walked out of the car and into barry's house

"that's lovely just great" Amelia said and they waited until jj walked out

"jj we can not go stealing from drug dealers" Amelia stated

"he's gonna find out and come after us" Sarah started

"probably with our brother and his stupid ass friends. we need to
put it back jj" She told them

"how'd you guys like having a gun pulled on you?" JJ asked and he slammed john b against the van as they talked

"we're sick of your shit" John b told jj

"my shit?" JJ asked

"your pulling guns on people shit" kiara said and amelia took the step back as she let them talk. she wasn't a pogue, she was a kook. she had no idea what was going on with them or how they had felt their whole lives. she couldn't talk in this moment

they watched jj walk away and kiara grabbed amelia's hand. pope stared in sadness over him leaving and amelia get bad

this was her best friends, her family now. she couldn't be with ward or rose or rafe. they wouldn't get it

"amelia?" sarah asked and she snapped her head to her

"what's up?" amelia questioned as they all stared at her.

"we're going to the wreck, you're coming with right?" pope asked and she nodded as they got in the twinkie and drove to the wreck. amelia sat next to kiara

"he'll come around all right? it's... he's doing a jj thing" John b exclaimed

"you think he'll go home?" kiara said

"there's about a zero percent chance that jj goes home" pope stated

"okay but he's pissed off and feels alone, there's a 50 percent chance that he'll go home but i hope he doesn't" Amelia said

"we're all okay though right?" Kiara said as she looked at amelia

"barry is the reason that rafe is addicted and i'm just a thing to rafe, i want to be mad but i'm okay" Amelia said and John b smiled at them

"okay, it's too dangerous to pawn this thing off piecemeal so our best best is to go down there and get the rest of it. bring it all up at one. put it in a safe or a vault or something. i don't know. just until we can find someone who won't rip us off. i can figure it out tonight, get it done, and we can be out there tomorrow morning" Pope said

"all right let's do it" John b said

"pope heyward the master mind genius" Amelia said and he smiled at her

"what about that thing with our dad?" sarah asked john b and amelia scoffed as kiara looked at her

"what thing?" pope asked and Amelia leaned her head back as Kiara laid her head against her shoulder. amelia zoned out again, her anxiety was working up again and she didn't like it

"lia?" kiara whispered after pope and sarah and john b had left. amelia now sat on the dock and looked at kiara

"kiara , is something wrong with me?" she asked and Kiara turned amelias head towards her

"amelia what made you think that?" kiara questioned and amelia shrugged

"it's just rafe and everything. im the black sheep of the family, dad hates me, rafe is homophobic, i don't even exist to rose. wheezie and sarah are the only people in the family who treat me as normal and actually part of them. something has to be wrong with me" amelia ranted and kiara held her face

"no no there's something wrong with them amelia. you're an amazing person. you have always deserved better then that family and their treatment. i wish you could see yourself the way i see you" kiara said and amelia searched kiaras eyes

"you mean that?" amelia whispered and kiara leaned her forehead against amelia's

"i mean that" she responded and they both leaned in slowly. their lips touched and they took a deep breathe in. kiara looked into amelia's eyes and smiled softly. they kissed each other and amelia held the side of kiaras face.

on the dock, there sat kiara and amelia. kiara brushed amelia's hair behind her ear and amelia held kiaras face as they continued . the sun was setting and the sunset reflected on the face. it was all the warm colors. red, orange, yellow, pink , it was beautiful and it was kiara and amelia

they were all each other ever needed
