Chapter Four
Be Safe

3rd Person POV

To be quite frank, amelia forgot everything her father had said to her during their talk. she went up to her room right after it and she painted. she drew and put her emotions into art. she fell asleep and the next day, she woke up and got dressed.

sarah walked into her room and looked at her. as she laid on her floor with her earbuds in and writing in her journal. sarah kicked her leg and she turned around and pulled her earbuds out

"what's up?" she asked as she stopped writing

"i'm going over to the cut for some shopping, you want to come?" sarah questioned and Amelia shook her head

"not really no, i have to work today and i'm going to the obx movie thing tonight" Amelia stated

"okay well i'm going to go, have fun" Sarah said and she walked out of amelia's room as she closed the door. amelia smiled and finished writing

she looked at the time , she put her journal away and watered her plants. she then took the other paintings she did and she went to work. when she got there, she unlocked it and did the daily routine

"amelia" kiara said as she walked into the shop and amelia smiled at her

"hey kie, what's up?" amelia asked as she put her hair up and then put the paintings

"missed you, are you okay?" kiara questioned and amelia sat on the stool as she grabbed some rocks and paint

"yeah went to bed late last night" amelia said and kiara looked at the rocks

"can i help?" kiara asked and amelia smiled as she handed kiara some paint and rocks. she got kiara a chair and sat her down. they started to listen to the music and talk until rafe walked in with topper

"amelia" rafe said and she looked up

"what rafe?" she asked

"kiaras your little secret girlfriend?" rafe asked with a smirk

"she's a friend now what do you want?" she questioned wanting him to leave. kiara made eye contact and grabbed amelias hand

"your boy pope we know what he did sis and he's not getting away with it" Rafe said and he walked out of the shop. amelia made eye contact with kiara

"we have to see pope and now" Amelia said, it had already been 5 hours and 30 people came in. amelia sold all of her paintings and bracelets. she put most of it in the charity jars and the rest in the cashier.

"so you're going to the movie thing?" kiara asked as she helped amelia clean the shop

"yeah" Amelia told her with a smile

"cool i'll drive you" kiara said and she grabbed amelias hand and they closed the shop. they locked it up and went to kiaras car. they then drove to jjs house and picked up him and pope

when they got to the park, they walked together and kiara smiled at amelia as she held her hand

"i'm so glad that they're still doing this. keep calm, carry on, back to obx life. you know? aren't you guys glad that i made you come?" Kiara said to jj and pope

"ecstatic" pope retorted

"my couch was pretty comfy, i'll be honest" Jj announced

"hey i'm here, that's a plus" Amelia exclaimed

"that's actually very true thank you lia" Pope said and they sat down together. amelia watched kiara walk away and saw her talk to her brother . amelia held her breathe and looked at pope

" Hey we saw Rafe this morning and he said and I quote " your boy pope we know what he did", what is he talking about?"
amelia asked them

" Is he here?" JJ asked

" Yeah right there" amelia said and kiara walked over as pope and jj turned to look at the

" Great, the whole DEATHSQUAD" Pope stated

" Don't stare, bro. Just warning you, bro. If they corner me, I'm coming out swinging, OK? Slicing and Dicin . I'm on edge right now. If that doesn't work I got this right here" JJ told them and he held up his backpack

" JJ please tell me you weren't stupid enough to bring a gun here there are children" Amelia said

" No Amelia I didn't bring the gun OK everything's fine" JJ said

" Wow, thank you. That's really convincing. I love that JJ" Kiara said

" Guys this is my brother what is he talking about?" Amelia said

" Lia it might go down tonight" Pope told her and she smacked her forehead

" What does that mean question mark "it might go down tonight" What did y'all do?" kiara asked for her

"nothing kiara nothing" JJ said and amelia sighed as she grabbed kiaras hand and waited for the movie to start. halfway through it, jj and pope stood up , kiara and amelia looked at them

"what are you doing?" amelia asked them

"we gotta ring it out" JJ told her and her face scrunched up

"what? are y'all going to hold it for each other?" Kiara questioned and Amelia laughed at them as they walked away

"am i wrong or do they like definitely like each other?" amelia whispered to kiara and she shrugged

"they'd be cute but i don't know" Kiara said and amelia noticed that 5 minutes later they hadn't come back. amelia looked at kiara and they ran back behind the screen. amelia turned kelce and punched him the face

"let go of him topper! you fascist asshole!" Kiara yelled as rafe picked her up. amelia saw red , she threw kelce on the floor and kicked him. she then punched his jaw and ran to rafe as she swung on him

she hit his jaw and looked at her

"you're going to regret that" rafe said and he ran with topper and kelce

"not any time soon" Amelia said and she watched him walk away

"pope are you okay?" amelia asked him

"you two are idiots" pope told them and Amelia wrapped an arm around jjs shoulder

"we saved your ass, let's go" Amelia said to them and they went to kiaras car. kiara drove them home and when she got to amelia's house, she got out with her

"be safe" kiara said to her and amelia kissed her forehead.

"i'll try" she said and she snuck in through her window. she locked her door and then noticed wheezie on her bed

"wheeze?" she whispered and wheezie woke up

"you're back" wheezie said and amelia smiled softly

"yeah what are you doing in here?" amelia asked and wheezie sat up as amelia hugged her

"rafe came home pissed, i hid in here and waited for you" wheezie said and she held on to her

"i'm here now wheeze" she exclaimed and she laid down next to wheezie as she took off her shoes and socks. she held wheezie and they fell asleep together

amelia only cared that kiara, pope , wheezie, jj , her, sarah and john b were okay

but where was sarah?

where had she gone? and why hadn't she told amelia?

it was a mystery
