Chapter 7: The Tip of The Iceberg

Zane's P.O.V.

After I put my leather jacket on, I tied my boots before getting my moonstone. I just finished another fun time with Heidi. As she lay passed out in the bed, I got up and made my way to the door.

It was time for me to take my pack out on a hunt and then that was the last of my alpha duties for the day.

Tomorrow was the day that we hunt for the Great Alpha in Seabrook. The Rogue Pack will finally get the power it deserves and it can save everyone in it.

We've lost many pups and elders since the damn Lykensen Pack stole the moonstone from us. In return, they'll lose their alpha.

"Zane!" I heard Cameron's voice. I stopped before turning to look at him.

"Remember what you need to do. Capture the Great Alpha, bring her back, and only then, can we take her power to bring our pack to the top of the food chain. It will be even more when your heir is born." he explained.

"Yes, I know. That old mate of mine was useless and Heidi's the perfect solution to getting an heir with the Great Alpha's power. Nothing's happened yet, but at least she helps me out when things are too much for me to handle." I replied.

He grimaced in disgust.

"I don't even want to know about your little girlfriend or whatever she is. I don't even know why you bother with her because you're not the only one she's messing around with. I was pretty fond of Davina and did tell you to be patient with her. Anyway, I wanted to inform you that tomorrow, you guys leave at night and be careful. The zombies and the Lyksensen pack have formed an alliance with the humans. They've also added aliens to the bunch as well." he explained.

Delilah's P.O.V.

"Okay, Davina. Just relax. Take deep breaths." Winona instructed as I placed a hand on my new friend's back.

Davina had gone into labor at least two hours ago and was rushed to the infirmary. We had been hanging out at the fire pit with some of the others until she announced that it was time to meet her child.

She was actually pregnant a lot longer than she initially thought, so it was definitely a surprise when she went into labor unexpectedly.

It was myself and Elder Waverly that were holding her hands while Willa was rubbing her back. All of us were supporting her through this birth. They had helped with the birth of previous pups in the past, so they were the best midwives in the pack.

The red-haired girl was breathing heavily, tears streaming down her face.

"The baby's ready. I need you to start pushing." My aunt instructed.

The young redhead pushed and squeezed the living hell out of my hand as she groaned. I'm surprised that she wasn't screaming. Most of the she-wolves in the pack that already had their pups screamed like banshees. Then again, it's different for everyone.

"Push, Davina. You got this." I reassured her.

She did again as Waverly used a wet cloth to clean the sweat off of Davina's forehead. She kept a strong grip on my hand as she moaned and groaned in pain.

"I see the head. One more push, young one. Give me all you got." Winona said.

Davina took a deep breath before pushing, letting out a small scream before the baby came out, loud cries filling the den.

"Congratulations, sweetie! You have a beautiful little boy!" Elder Waverly beamed as my aunt gave my new friend her child.

The girl cried with a smile on her face as she looked down at her newborn pup. The baby cried as he was placed on her bare chest. "Shh, Mommy's here."

I had a feeling the baby boy would have red hair just like his mother. He was so beautiful and it made the motherly instincts inside me go insane, wanting the desire to have my own child.

Suddenly, she yelped in pain again and clutched the blankets, all of the she-wolves surrounding her once again. Willa took the baby boy into her arms when the new mother told her she felt like she had to push again.

"We got another one here. Okay, Davina. Deep breath and push!" Winona instructed.

After about 10 minutes of more labor, another cry filled the room. I looked down at the second child and gasped. "It's a girl!" I said with excitement.

Both of the babies were taken to be cleaned by both Elders as Willa and I continued comforting Davina as she slowly eased her breathing and eventually became calm.

When the newborn twins were brought in, my new friend cried happy tears as she took them into her arms against her bare chest.

"The skin-to-skin contact will help you bond with them. I know Wes was unable to make it on time, but he's coming as fast as he can to get you the treatment you need. We'll still keep an eye on you until you're recovered." My aunt explained.

"I can't believe my babies are here. But, this means they're the heirs to the Rogue Pack."

"We'll worry about that another time. Right now, just rest and enjoy your time with your children, sweetie." Elder Waverly reassured.

The red-headed girl looked at the other she-wolves. "Can you bring Matthew in? I want him here with me."

I smiled and nodded before we were instructed to give Davina and her kids some time alone. Me and Willa entered the lobby of the wolf den and smiled at the pack.

"It's twins. A boy and a girl."

They all howled in celebration before I signaled for them to quiet down a bit.

"They all need rest and alone time to bond. Other than the healers, nobody is permitted to see them until she's fully recovered."

"Yes, Alpha." they all nodded before going their separate ways.

I noticed Matthew staring at me and I went to him. "She's asking for you." He nodded and went into the infirmary, closing the door.

Willa wrapped an arm around me and kissed my cheek. "I have to go and patrol the area. I'll be back later, okay?"

I nodded and kissed her before she went out of the den, shifting into her wolf form.

It was then that one of the Elders came into my direction. "They need to speak with you."

I followed him to where they resided and sat in front of them. Elder Watson was the first one to speak, since he was the one who stood up.

"So, I've heard your wolf, Hera has finally awakened, right? I want to be the first to congratulate you on that. Second of all, we called you to discuss more preparations for the rogues' attack and how we can fend them off." he explained.

"We've managed to get some updates from your cousins. Your uncle, the old Alpha of the rogues as you're now aware of, has sent a few of his pack members along with his student and the new Alpha to Seabrook in order to search for us. They leave tonight." Elder Kim added.

"So, what do you want us to do?" I asked, crossing my arms.

Another was the next to stand up. "That's what we want to hear from you. You're our leader, so what action do you want us to take?"

I stayed silent before standing up, knowing my answer would be outrageous, but it seemed like the only way to have an advantage taken forward.

But, I would need the help from the zombies and the aliens.

"Well, I think that myself as well as a good amount of pack members should go out during the night, since I have a suspicion that's when the rogues like to go out. If we spot them, we launch a surprise attack. However, as the Alpha of this pack, I'm also going to have some of the zombies and aliens assist us. The rogues tend to be more powerful than those who are in normal packs. However, if the zombies let go of their Z-bands for some time and the aliens use their powers, they'll be no match for them and we can stop them. That's my decision. If anyone agrees to it."

Most of the Elders raised their hands while a few didn't. The decision was made and final.

"I'll alert the pack about this. I'll also have Zed and Addison alert their respective groups." I said before I was dismissed.

I knew this was going to be the start of the eventual confrontation Seabrook would have against my uncle's pack. But I knew that no matter what, we would be able to take them.

Especially with the members of Seabrook's "Big Three", as they refer to us.

Addison, leader of the aliens.

Zed, leader of the zombies.

And myself, leader of the werewolves.

Plus, with the addition of Davina and Matthew, we've been getting more information on their strategies and tricks, which we can use against them.

I left the area before getting my phone out and texting Addison to bring Zed with her and meet me at the diner. In an instant, she replied that she was on her way.

I hope they'll be on-board with this plan.
