Jungkook opened the door leading to the throne room. His eyes immediately landed on Yugyeom who quickly stands upon seeing him.

"Alpha." Yugyeom greeted, bowing his head a little as a courtesy.

Jungkook nodded his head as an acknowledgement before taking his seat on the throne, his loyal subordinates sitting in circle.

There are six men inside the throne room except for the alpha, four of which came from their base in the city lead by Yugyeom, Bambam, Mark, and JB. The remaining two are Hoseok and Jackson, Jungkook's most trusted men.

"Report." the alpha ordered, voice firm and low.

Yugyeom nodded his head before speaking, "The rogues have tried attacking our base again the other night when I was away doing what you asked me to do. Fortunately, the others were able to hold them down quick." He said in a serious voice.

Jungkook poked his inner cheek with his tongue, annoyed at the rogues' persistence to destroy his pack.

"Do we have casualties?" Jungkook asked, his voice getting deeper by the minute.

"None, only wounded ones." Yugyeom assured making everyone in the room feel relieved.

"Good. Make sure everyone who got hurt will recover fast by giving them everything they need. " the alpha praised, satisfied with everything he has heard so far.

"What about the thing I asked you to do?" He continued, finally getting to the main reason why the four men are there.

Yugyeom gazed over Bambam who took out a folded piece of paper from his pocket. He quickly unfolds it, revealing a picture.

"We have seen these flyers being handed to the people in the central." Bambam gave the paper to Jungkook who instantly recognized the man in the picture with his blonde hair and brown eyes.

"There were a lot of people giving that away, making it easy for us to track down his family." Mark added.

The alpha stared at the man in the picture whose face is glowing with happiness. His eyes are sparkling with joy and for a moment, Jungkook finds himself mesmerized by those brown eyes and captivating smile that he hasn't seen ever since the human came to their pack.

"So he can smile like this." Jungkook subconsciously muttered, unaware that he said those words out loud.

Hoseok silently watched his alpha's face, keeping to himself how Jungkook's eyes turned soft for a while.

"What have you found out?" Jungkook lifted his head, folding the paper again.

"We haven't found anything significant yet. However, his family are all humans, that's for sure." Yugyeom reassured the alpha.

"If that's the case, he's also a human." Hoseok stated, his eyes looking over Jungkook.

"Then how was he able to keep my mark?" Jungkook asked, annoyance back in his voice.

He had ordered his men to check on the human's background, hoping to find a clear answer as to why he can be mated to a wolf. He's looking for a way to undo his fate so he can continue to be mateless.

"We still don't know, alpha. We will continue to observe them until we find something useful." Bambam promised, determined to help out Jungkook.

"Just don't get caught." Jungkook reminded. "Are there any more concerns?" He inquired, eyes scanning the people inside.

"We do have one more." JB, who's silent for a moment now, stood.

Jungkook allowed the guy to speak out as he rested his head on his hand.

"When we were attacked by the rogues, I heard one of them say something about your new mate. They said they're going to kill him." JB uttered, eyes a bit wary.

Jungkook shrugs his shoulders at this information. "Even before they get him, they'll be dead by then."

JB nodded his head, "I know alpha. They won't stand against us. But that's not what got me concerned."

"Then what?" Jungkook boredly asked.

JB looked so serious, his eyes full of wary as he speaks, "They address your mate as him."

Jungkook finally understood. His eyes widened at this, mind getting fucked up.

"They already know your mate is a man and not a woman, alpha." JB informed, making everyone silent.

Jungkook frustratingly covered his face with his hand, trying to control his burning anger.

"This is bad, alpha. It's possible that they also know he's a human and not an omega." Jackson added, making the alpha groan in frustration.

"How the fuck were they able to get that information?! The council doesn't even know!" Jungkook thundered, his anger rising every minute.

"There's a traitor in our pack." Mark mumbled, getting everyone's attention.

Everyone was silent, the kind of silence that suggests they think the same thing.

Jungkook glared, finding what he said possible. "Find that traitor, if there really is. Make sure no one from the council knows about this."

The five men nodded their heads, determined to do all things to prevent anyone else outside their pack to get a hold of this information, except Hoseok.

"Don't you think it's best if we let the council know? So they can help us against these rogues?" Hoseok suggested, earning a glare from Jackson.

"Are you out of your mind?! Have you forgotten what has happened between a werewolf and a human in the past? Do you think the council will just gladly accept the idea that our alpha mated with a human?" Jackson groaned, eyes intensely staring over Hoseok.

"He's a human, yes. But he's a man, not a woman. The past won't be repeated because he won't fucking get pregnant." Hoseok retorted back, annoyed by Jackson's words.

Everyone just stared at Hoseok as if he has grown five more heads. They were astounded to hear Hoseok bring that up.

Their tragic past just beacuse a werewolf fell in love with a human.

Lycaon and Fortuna became lovers, secretly meeting under the moonlight, where no one can judge them.

It was never allowed, not by the law of nature for a human to love a werewolf. It was never destined to happen especially if Lycaon is already mated to an omega.

But they defied the law, basking in the heat of their bodies as they made love over and over again, every night that they see each other.

They were madly in love up to the point where Lycaon had to endure the pain stabbing his heart everytime he made love to Fortuna, an effect a mated wolf gets whenever he makes love to someone other than his mate.

He did not care, even though he's slowly killing himself by committing such sin.

Lycaon and Fortuna loves each other so much that they made the impossible possible.

They made it happen for Fortuna to conceive a child.

The two kept it a secret, hiding the seed of their sinful acts to the world until Fortuna gave birth.

They had a girl, a beautiful little angel who made their lives happier. They thought they have succeeded in fighting for their love, but they failed.

The baby girl, a product of a werewolf and a human, became evil and cursed. She turned into a monster with strength incomparable to anyone. She lost control of herself as her wolf was unleashed for the first time, killing everyone around her including her parents, Lycaon and Fortuna.

She sets everyone aflame, thrashing all the bodies on the ground as she feasted on them, werewolves and humans combined. It all happened just in a snap of a finger, like a tornado washing away the lives of the people around.

She becomes unstoppable as she wrecks havoc anywhere she sets her eyes to.

No one was able to stop her except herself.

After a long time, she was able to snap out of her evil state, collapsing on top of the dead bodies she killed.

Those who barely survived thought she died, but her body was never found.

From then on, the council has vowed to prevent a werewolf from loving a human. They don't want to risk the lives of their kind and the human race just because of a useless word called "love".

Even though Hoseok has a point, God knows what the council will do to Jungkook if they find out he was mated to a human, breaking another law. They won't stay quiet, that's for sure.

Jungkook was never planning to keep it a secret from the start. He was even thinking of surrendering the human to the council and let them do whatever they want to him and he wouldn't care.

That's his plan in the beginning. But those plans changed when he found out that his life now depends on the human. He can't just give him away now that everything the human will do will have an impact on him. Now that his death is also his death.

"We can't. Do whatever it takes for them not to know." Jungkook ordered, voice low and firm almost making the men shiver in fear.

Yugyeom and the rest only nodded their heads in response. They immediately bowed before Jackson escorted them out, leaving Hoseok and Jungkook in the throne room.

Once alone, Hoseok looked at Jungkook, wanting to reason out.

"You know we can't keep this forever, especially now that the rogues have found out, and there's a possible traitor in our pack." He said, voice full of wary.

Jungkook sighed, having enough of the problem for the day

"I'll deal with that when it happens. For now, do what I said." He remarked, finally standing up from his seat and with huge steps, went out of the room with Hoseok still looking at him with concern in his eyes.
