Please look at the message at the end of this chapter, it's kinda important.

I hope you guys enjoy :) (Syrra's POV will be next)

*****

I hear knocking at the door and frown. "I thought Angel and Zella were still at the hospital?"

"They are," Jaxon says, looking just as confused.

"Well then who's at the door?" I ask as I stand up from the couch.

"No idea," he murmurs.

I pull open the door and my eyebrows furrow. "Who are you?" I ask.

"I'm Taylor . . . " she says. "I'm sorry I was looking for the dragon king, I was told he had arrived recently."

"Tay Tay get your ass in here!" I hear Jaxon shout obnoxiously.

I hold the door open and she throws me a nervous smile before stepping inside. I close the door and walk into the living room, still confused.

"What the hell happened to you?" she asks, her eyes widening as she looks over Jaxon.

"I fell," he chuckles. He struggles to his feet before giving her a tight hug. "Where have you been? We got here a couple of days ago."

"Sorry I was staying at Shawn's house and had to take care of a few things before I could leave," she says.

"Hey can someone introduce me?" I growl in annoyance.

Jax chuckles. "Taylor this is Fara. Fara this is Taylor, the werewolf queen," he tells me and my eyes go wide.

"Seriously?" I ask.

"No not anymore. We've completely gotten rid of the werewolf king and queen. I'm just a luna now," she says.

"Wait what?" Jax asks.

"I couldn't handle being the queen so Shawn went back to being alpha and he made me the luna of his pack. Angel is the alpha of this pack and Zella is her luna. There's no such thing as a king or queen anymore," she explains with a shrug.

"I can't believe Angel didn't tell us she's an alpha now."

"She's a little distracted at the moment," she chuckles. Then she turns to me as I sit down on the couch. "Are you a dragon?"

I nod and she smiles. "We don't get many dragons down here, Kaine and Jaxon are really the only ones," she says.

"What about Ash?"

Her eyebrows shoot up. "Ash is here?"

"Yeah of course—wait where is he?" Jax asks, turning to me.

"Last I saw he was in the kitchen with your brother and Logan," I tell him.

He cringes. "Well that has to be awkward."

"Why?"

"Well my brother loves to make things uncomfortable. And the last time we saw Logan was when he came to our door in the middle of the night and we were kinda in the middle of something," he mutters.

"You guys are always in the middle of something," I snort.

"Well have you seen how pretty my mate is? He's kinda hard to stay away from," Jaxon smirks.

I smile in amusement. "Just try to control yourselves while we're here. Our rooms are very close to each other and the walls aren't exactly soundproof," I remind him.

"Yeah yeah fine whatever," he mutters with a roll of his eyes. "Can you go get him?"

I nod and make my way towards the kitchen. Logan and Ash are sitting quietly at the counter while Kaine rummages through the fridge.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Looking for this," he says, a triumphant grin on his lips as he pulls a can out of the fridge.

"What is that?"

"Whipped cream."

I shrug and he gapes at me. "You've never had whipped cream?" he asks.

I shake my head. "No what is it?"

He looks appalled. "Okay here," he mutters, moving to the counter. He grabs a strawberry out of the bowl and puts some of the whipped cream on it before handing it to me. "Try it," he tells me.

I narrow my eyes at him before biting into it. "Okay seriously what is this stuff?" I ask, my eyes widening. It's sweet and fluffy and melts on my tongue.

"I honestly don't know," he chuckles.

"Do you want something to eat?" Logan asks me, motioning to the counter top covered in food.

"No I'm alright, thank you though. Jax wanted me to take you back into the living room," I say, turning to Ash.

He nods and I help him into the wheelchair. He lets out a sharp wince but otherwise doesn't complain. I push him down the hall, watching as Jaxon's face lights up almost immediately.

"Goddess did both of you fall?" Taylor murmurs.

"It's complicated," Jax sighs, turning to look at Ash.

I roll the wheel chair over to the couch and he pulls himself up to sit beside his mate. I can barely hide my smile when Jaxon kisses Ash on the cheek before pulling him against his side.

I glance at Taylor for a moment before heading back to the kitchen. Logan is gone but Kaine is still raiding the fridge and cabinets. I sit at the counter with a small frown.

"You used to date Taylor right?" I ask.

Kaine pauses, turning to me with furrowed brows. "Taylor?"

"Yeah she's talking to Jaxon and Ash right now. You two dated, didn't you?"

He nods slowly. "A couple of years ago."

"She's beautiful," I find myself saying.

His lip twitches into a smile for just a moment. "She has a mate Fara," he says.

"I know," I sigh. "Every girl I think is cute either has a mate or is into guys. Or both."

He tilts his head a little. "Don't be too anxious to find a mate; you might find yourself missing the single life."

"Do you miss it?" I ask.

He sighs, leaning back against the counter. "Yes," he mutters.

"Really?" I scoff.

"Mates are complicated. It's one more person that can hurt you—it's one more person that can be hurt because of you," he murmurs. Then he sighs again. "Life is easier before you meet them but you can't imagine life without them."

"That was very poetic," I tease.

He rolls his eyes. "Shut up."

"Hey Fara?"

I turn to see Taylor walking towards me. "Yeah?"

"I'm going to get a drink at the club, would you like to come with me?"

I look back at Kaine. "What's a club?" I ask quietly.

He chuckles. "Just go, I bet you'll like it."

*****

I slowly open my eyes, squinting against the harsh light. My head pounds and my stomach roils and my entire body aches.

Last night was a massive mistake, I groan.

"Does that mean I'm a mistake too?"

My eyes widen and I turn my gaze towards the bathroom. The door is wide open so I have a clear view of the girl inside.

"Did I say that out loud?"

She laughs. "Yeah little bit. So?" she asks, raising her eyebrow.

"Definitely not a mistake," I chuckle.

She grins at me before going back to her makeup. "Does that mean you remember?" she asks.

I bite my cheek as I try to recall last night. Some parts are a blur but others are perfectly clear. A small sigh of relief escapes my lips when her name finally pops into my head. "Most of it," I say, groaning as I sit up. I run a hand through my hair, grimacing at the tangles. I look down and realize I am wearing absolutely nothing. "Fantastic," I growl under my breath.

"I should probably apologize for ripping your underwear, they were really cute and looked kinda expensive," she mutters absentmindedly.

I walk to the bathroom with a small smile on my lips. "Don't worry about it. I have plenty more," I tell her.

I climb into the shower and wash the smell of alcohol off me. The hot water is absolutely heavenly against my skin.

"Oh come on you can't stay in there all day," I hear Jenna laugh a few minutes later.

I reluctantly turn the shower off and wrap a towel around my body. I climb out and she hands me a mug. "What's this?" I ask.

"Tea. The boys downstairs said it'll help your headache," she tells me.

"You went downstairs?"

She grins. "Normally I would have snuck out—the visitors we have from other territories usually aren't very accepting—but I seriously doubted the dragon kings were going to judge."

"I didn't realize everyone knew they were here," I murmur, taking a sip of the tea. It's sweet and tastes faintly of mint.

"Taylor told me about them. She didn't tell me you were a dragon though so that was a fun surprise," she remarked, grabbing another towel to dry her hair.

"Oh gods," I mutter, my mind immediately going to the worst place. "How did you figure it out then?"

"Well your hair was the first clue, I've never seen any creature with hair that color."

I look in the mirror. Soaking wet it looks black but when it's dry it is almost the color of blood. "Yeah red hair is pretty common for dragons," I sigh.

"Yeah not so much with wolves. And then when things got particularly exciting last night, your eyes all of the sudden looked like fire and you got pretty aggressive."

"Sorry, my dragon gets excited pretty easily," I say with a nervous smile.

She smirks, walking back into the room. "Don't apologize. We enjoyed it quite a bit."

We? I think in confusion. Then I remember. "Where's Zoey?" I ask.

"Oh she left a while ago, she has warrior training pretty early in the morning."

I step out of the bathroom with a small sigh. "Do you want some fresh clothes?" I ask.

Jenna shakes her head. "No I just had Tay bring me a clean uniform from my house," she says and my eyes widen when she drops her towel.

She pulls on the clothes and I quickly realize she's one of the pack doctors. She presses a firm kiss onto my lips, placing her fingers under my chin. "Come find me the next time you're in this pack, my mate and I would love to have you again," she growls with a wink before leaving.

I stand rooted to the spot, still a little shocked. Gods I almost don't want to go back home.

It's remarkable how much more accepting the wolves are, Adriel mutters.

Guess there's a few things we could learn from them.

I slip on some pants and a tank top then quickly dry my hair. I tie it back as I walk downstairs. I hold my breath a little as I enter the living room.

Kaine and Taylor are talking on the couch but pause their conversation when I start to move past them. "Did you have fun last night?"

"Lots," I chuckle. "Thank you."

Taylor shakes her head. "Don't thank me sweetie that was all you," she says.

I frown a little. "Wait what?"

"All I did was take you to the club and put a drink in your hand. You got Jenna and Zoey all by yourself."

"You slept with Jenna and Zoey?" Kaine asks, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise.

"Apparently," I mutter with confusion.

"I'm impressed."

I roll my eyes and head to the kitchen where Jax is sitting on the counter while Ash tries to throw blueberries into his open mouth.

"How old are you two?" I snort.

"Well I'm 20 and Ash is somewhere in his late 40s but emotionally we're both about five years old," he chuckles.

I shake my head with an annoyed sigh. "Wow."

*****

I'm trying not to eavesdrop but my curiosity quickly overwhelms my self control.

"I'm glad you made it, Angel and Zella have been looking to meet you for a while," I hear Lyza say.

"I heard there was a change regarding the queen and king of the werewolf territory so I would be visiting soon anyway," Syrra replies.

She walks—no saunters into the living room, directly to Kaine. He stands and hugs her, kissing her on the cheek. "I missed you," he whispers.

"We need to talk," she tells him quietly, her voice cracking a little.

He nods and takes her hand and leads her upstairs.

Lyza collapses into the armchair with a heavy sigh.

"Are they gonna be okay?" I ask.

She nods. "They just need to get better at communicating," she says.

"Syrra sounded upset."

"She's just scared. She is a very secretive person and I doubt she's confessed to Kaine yet."

"What kind of secrets is she keeping from him?"

"I'm not sure," she sighs. "Though I have a feeling it has something to do with her violent nature."

My eyes go wide. "Violent nature?"

"Since she met Kaine she's been pretty docile but I'm worried what will happen when she can't hide it anymore."

"I mean no disrespect but what the hell are you talking about?" I ask, not understanding a word she is saying.

Lyza purses her lips in annoyance. "I understand you and Kaine and everyone else all think she's a total sweetheart, but I knew the leaders of the witch clans for a very long time. They were brutal and merciless, and each had hundreds of trained warriors to protect them. There is absolutely no way Syrra overthrew all three of them unless she was just as brutal and merciless.

"In the thousands of years the witches have been around, there has not been a single king or queen. The clan leaders before Syrra had ruled for centuries and no one had ever succeeded in removing them from power. Anyone who opposed them ended up dead. But somehow, a 15 year old girl with no allies became the first queen."

She takes a deep breath and leans forward a little to put her elbows on her knees. "Syrra is a very dangerous woman. And I'm worried Kaine will leave her if he learns the truth," she murmurs.

"If she's so dangerous then would that really be a bad thing?" I ask.

She looks pained as she rests her chin in her hands. "I've never seen my son happier then when he's with her. After everything he's gone through I think losing his mate would kill him."

*******

Okay so I've been asked a few times about doing a bonus 'mini series' for these books and I just wanted to know what you guys would want it to be about? So far these have been suggested: Angel/Zella's story, Lyza/Daerius raising the kids, and Jada's story.

You guys can pick one of these or suggest a new one. It won't be a full book but there will be a decent number of chapters :) just in case you guys want some extra reading material.
