Narrator pov
Six children were in a forest playing and laughing. Little did they know that they were being watched by two beings.

One of the men watched the oldest girl with a smile while the second tried not to show emotion but you could see the love in his eyes.
"She's beautiful." The older man said.
"She is. And so happy." Just then the girl noticed the two men and she waved. The second eldest boy smiled at his sister and spoke.
"Who are you waving too little angel?"
"Those two men over there." The other kids looked but didn't see anyone.
"There's no one there Evie." A boy with blond hair said.
"There is. Right there. How can you not see them?" The eldest boy went over and put his hand on her head.
"Let's go sister. Mother will be wanting us back."

Later the same girl went back to the same spot. She looked around and didn't see anything. She was getting ready to leave when she heard something. She spun around and saw the same two men from earlier. She ran over and spoke.
"Are you real?" The more friendly looking man smiled and bent down.
"We are." She put her hand on his cheek
"How come I am the only one who can see you?" He smiled and spoke.
"Because you are very special Lili." The little girl giggled and spoke.
"That's what Kol calls me." The man smiled and spoke.
"I know. I have something for you but you have to keep it hidden. Can you do that?" The girl nodded and spoke.
"Promise." The man smiled and made a necklace appear.

"Now this is a very special necklace that will keep you safe. All you have to do is hold it tightly and we'll come to help you." The little girl smiled and threw her arms around his neck.
"Thank you mister." He smiled and hugged her back.
"Gabriel. And this is Castiel." Castiel spoke.
"We should go. They're coming." Gabriel nodded then looked at the girl. He kissed her forehead and spoke.
"Be careful little angel of ours." The two men vanished then two of the young boys from earlier came up.
"There you are Eva." The older boy said. Evangeline smiled and spoke.
"I'm fine Finn. Lijah." Elijah smiled and went over to his younger sister.
"That may be little sister but you need to be careful. We don't want you hurt." She huffed then jumped on Finn's back. He chuckled and carried his sister back home.

That night Evangeline slept peacefully while Gabriel watched over her.
"You shouldn't be doing this brother." Gabriel looked back to see Castiel there.
"She's ours Cas. I can't just leave her be. Not with those so called parents."
"You know what is planned for her. She's going to be the one that changes their fate." Gabriel sighed and looked at the child.
"I know. But I'm not going to stop watching over her." Castiel looked at the small girl and for a second his expression went soft. His and his brothers mate. She was so innocent and peaceful. But he knew that wouldn't last forever. Not with what was written to come.

Years later
The girl was now grown and was beautiful. Her kind heart had never changed but she showed her emotions less then she did as a child. She had continued to talk with Castiel and Gabriel and had even met two more archangels, Michael and Raphael.

One day she was out in the garden when she heard her younger brother Niklaus yell out.
"Mother!!!" Eva grew panicked and ran to the voice.

She saw Nik holding their youngest brother. She ran over and fell down. Elijah and Rebekah had run out with their mother. Eva held Henri's hand and tried not to cry. Her baby brother was dead. Killed by the men who turned into wolves.

That night their father offered each of the siblings wine then he began to kill them. Eva ran outside but was quickly killed by her father. Her last thoughts were on her necklace. Gabriel had told her all that time ago it could protect her. But it wasn't protecting her when she needed it the most.

Eva woke up with a gasp and looked to see blood covering her nightgown. Elijah immediately went over to his sister and helped her sit up. Finn came over and held his little sister tightly. Their father stormed in and forced them to drink human blood.

A few days later Eva was sitting outside trying not to cry. Why was this happening to her family?
"Little angel?" Eva looked up and saw Gabriel there. She ran over and hugged him. He held her tightly and soothed her.
"I'm a monster." Gabriel frowned and kissed her head.
"No you are not my love. You are kind and caring and gentle and fierce." He tilted her head up and looked her in the eyes.
"You are our everything. Not a monster ever." He could see the hesitancy in her eyes still so he leaned over and kissed her. She was shocked then kissed him back. Gabriel pulled away and touched her cheek.
"See? Perfect." Eva laughed and shook her head.
"I should head back. They'll be looking for me." Gabriel nodded and touched her necklace.
"Do not ever take this off Evangeline. Promise me." She smiled and put her hand in his.
"I promise to you I will not take this off ever."

She fiddled with her daylight bracelet on the way back.

Once she got back home Elijah came out to greet his sister.
"Taking a walk little sister?" Eva smiled and spoke.
"Always Elijah." He chuckled and kissed her cheek. Eva smiled sadly then shook it off. At least she and her siblings were together.
