Maya's POV

"Can I be sad that it's our last night here?"

I hear a slight chuckle behind me and her arms wrapping tighter around my waist.

"Of course you can be sad baby" she whispers and kisses my shoulder. "But Spain will be just as beautiful. I promise to take you everywhere you want to go"

I only hum in response and keep my eyes on the horizon with a undeniable smile on my face.

A few days ago Alex convinced me to come swim with her in the ocean. I really wanted to try it but I was still a bit scared. I knew I would be safe with her I was just still a bit nervous.

I mean seeing that much water in front of you, that deep and unpredictable all while you can't swim. That's pretty scary.

We went out on a boat ride during the week as well. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Just to be on the water and seeing the island from that perspective was absolutely breathtaking.

Alex, Marcelo and Lilly jumped into the water without a second thought but it took me a little longer. Alex's mom told me I didn't have to jump in but Alex climbed back onto the boat and convinced me with some sweet, comforting words and even more sweet and comforting kisses.

And so I did, I jumped in the water. Alex was there to catch me of course but I didn't like it. I didn't like the feeling of not having my feet on the ground. She brought me out here to watch the sunset one day and now, seven days later I don't want to watch the sunset anywhere else.

We are leaving for Spain tomorrow and I'm really excited about it but this vacation has been a dream come true. I never thought I'd have this opportunity to be on an island for my summer vacation. I have my family, best friends and my one and only. It doesn't get any better than this.

"I'm excited to stay in a castle again" I giggle and throw my head back against her shoulder. "I'm so happy you're a princess"

"Maya" she sighs. "First off that is bullshit" she laughs. "And secondly, I would never in my fucking life let a drop of your blood go to waste. Especially when I'm the one who broke the skin."

"Hmm ok" I respond and she turns me around against my will but I'm happy to be in her arms. "I don't want to see you fight a shark anyway."

She only laughs and hides her face in my neck. I do believe her though, not about the shark-smelling-blood fact but the waste of my blood. She would never bite me and let me just bleed for no reason.

She holds me tight in her arms as we watch the sun go down. The sky is painted with all sorts of pastel pink, purple and orange colors. The clouds make the view so much greater and I can't help but smile.

This is so peaceful and amazing just to be in this moment. Sharing the wonders of nature with Alex where nobody can bother us. It's just the two of us and I wouldn't trade this for the world.

For our last dinner on the island we came to the nearby village. The restaurant apparently has the best seafood and I can't wait to try it. They have traditional live music to entertain all the guests and I can tell this is the biggest attraction of the restaurant. Everyone is enjoying the songs even though we can't understand a word their saying.

Just like every other meal we all have a drink in our hands while enjoying each other's company. Lilly and Marcelo are sitting across the table from me and Alex at the end of the e table. Alex and Lilly's parents are at the other end in deep conversation.

Marcelo is busy telling a story about one of his friends who also came here on holiday.

"I still think he wanted you to pass me over for the night" Lilly shrugs and sips on her drink.

"I would never do that babe." Marcelo defends. "That happened one of my other girlfriends but she wanted it too."

"Hhmm still" she rolls her eyes and looks away.

"I would've felt the same Lil" I agree with my best friend.

"Thank you cupcake" she smiles at me and I give her a wink.

"That's not fair!" Marcelo laughs in disbelief. "Alex has done some worse shit than this"

"Joke's on you brother." she smirks. "She already knows about all the shit I've done and she still loves me."

"Hmm yeah" I squint my eyes at Alex and she gives me a cheap smile. She leans over with puckering lips but I don't give in yet.

"No" I smile but can't help to glance down at her lips. I want nothing more than to kiss her but I don't want to give her that satisfaction.

"Maya" she grins and I feel her hand slide a bit higher up my thigh, riding up my dress a little.

I smile and lean forward to give her a quick kiss.

I start laughing nervously and try stopping her hand. "Ok, ok just stop baby. Everyone will see my.... if you lift up my dress."

"See what?" she smiles.

"Baby please stop" I blush and try to be serious but I can't help laughing a little.

She smiles and takes her hand from my thigh to cup my face. She leans closer and gives me a rather passionate kiss for the current situation we're in but I can't pull away. I only gasp and grip her shirt. I feel her smirk against my lips and I punch her in the chest.

She pulls away with a chuckle and I just shake my head.

After a while the waiter brought over me and Lilly's food. Marcelo ate with her but Alex had no interest whatsoever. I even offered her some prawns. I've learned that prawn is my absolute favorite seafood and I was nice enough to offer one to her but she still doesn't want it.

"That is fucking gross baby" she sits back with her drink and a disgusted look on her face as I take a bite.

"You wanna kiss me now?" I smirk and lean closer to her.

"No!" she jumps up from her chair and I laugh. "Baby come on we have a deal" she groans with a slight frown.

"I know, I'm sorry" I laugh and put my hand out. "Come sit please"

"No you eat your disgusting food" she shivers. "I'm getting another drink at the bar."

"Ok but..." I smile and tap my cheek for a kiss.

"Promise?" she frowns.

"I promise babe" I give her a sincere smile.

She takes my hand and leans down to me. I turn my face and she gives me a few soft kisses on my cheek and jaw.

She leaves to the bar and I continue eating my delicious food. I understand why she doesn't enjoy being here while we eat. The smell of good puts her off so I don't mind her leaving.

"What's the deal you two have?" Lilly asks from across the table.

"Oh I'm not allowed to kiss her after I eat and she's not allowed to kiss me after she drinks from me." I smile and she nods her head in understanding.

"But dessert is fine right?"

"Oh yeah she doesn't mind that" I chuckle and take another bite.

"I bet she'll like eating dessert right off your body" she smirks and I almost choke on my food.

"Lilly!" I cough and she laughs at my embarrassment.

"Maya?" I look at Alex who is right by my side with a concerned face. "Are you ok?" she rubs my back and gives me something to drink.

"Sorry yeah I'm ok" I smile and put my hand on her shoulder.

She takes a deep breath and kisses my arm "You fucking scared me. What the hell?" she looks at Lilly and Marcelo.

"I didn't say anything" Marcelo throws his hands up.

"I just made a bad joke, sorry" Lilly confesses with a slight smile.

"It's ok" I laugh. "Baby I'm fine" I smile at her as she sits down next to me.

I put my hand in her lap and she immediately laces our fingers. She is still glaring at Lilly a bit but I squeeze her hand to grab her attention.

She looks at me and her expression softens immediately and she smiles at me. I continue eating the last bit of my food while she holds my hand.

Every time we have a meal I feel bad that Alex just sits here with me or with us. She watches us all eat and hasn't eaten anything but a few desserts for the last two weeks. She didn't want me to give her my blood. She refuses to drink from me if we don't have sex.
