FOURTEEN ━ DON'T EVEN

"Hey," Roger greeted, sitting down next to the girl. "You okay? I know how much Freddie's words hurt you and I can beat Paul up for you if you want. He should've and he should mind his own business."

"I'm not upset about what happened with Fred," Gisele sighed, propping her chin on the palm of her hand. "I'm upset that he's now going to depend on Paul more than us and Paul is going to be the destruction of our band. Paul will think it's his business if Freddie keeps having him by his side and telling him everything that's going on. We're both the lead singers of Queen, we're both best friends, we're siblings to each other. I don't want to lose him."

Roget wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulders, bringing her closer to his side as he kissed her forehead while placing his head on the top of hers. Gisele sighed once again, cuddling deeper into his side.

"You're not going to lose him, darling," Roger reassured, rubbing her arm. He was worried about her. She was outgoing on stage and she was the life of the party when meeting fans, but the girl dealt with shit that she didn't like speaking about in public.

"Hopefully not," she smiled a little, looking up at him. She stood up, stretching a little as she looked at the other side of the studio where she noticed that Brian was sitting down and Deaky was talking to his wife.

"Gisele, can I talk to you?" Brian asked, standing up immediately as he stared at the girl. Gisele nodded, Roger kissing her cheek as he sat down next to Deaky and the women.

"Yes, my dear friend?"

"I've been thinking that," he paused to run a hand over his hair, "that maybe we should do a song in which everyone can join in to. I want a song in which everyone can join to. Can I show you?"

Gisele nodded, smiling at him. "Yes, you can, Brian. I love listening to all of your ideas. Go on."

Gisele sat down, watching Brian get the band and the wives to stand up. She smiled as Roger walked past her, his arm wrapping around her waist as the other one wrapped around her shoulders, dipping her down. He looked at her before putting her up, laughing along with her.

"Stop, go," Gisele said in between chuckles, pushing the man softly towards Brian and the group. He raised his hands up, winking at her.

"Alright."

Gisele bit her lip, smiling to herself as she crossed her arms. She let Brian explain to the group what he was thinking of before he started stomping his feet. The group followed after and Gisele watched on with admiration, feeling tempted to stomp along.

"Now I want you to clap on the third beat."

Gisele smiled, not noticing the figure behind her. She watched as the group did an amazing beat, making her follow after. Brian looked over his shoulder to look at her, smiling with excitement as he headed towards the piano. He noticed Freddie. Turning around as he stared at Gisele who was laughing along the group.

"That's it!" Gisele grinned. "Brian you're brilliant bastard. Guitars. Drums. Just imagine."

"What's going on here?" She heard Freddie ask.

"You'd know if you were on time," Roger answered, twirling Gisele in his arms as much as he could. The wives stared at the couple, giggling amongst themselves. Deaky smiled and the others smiled too.

The couple ignored what was happening, talking to each other silently.

"So," Gisele started, "I was thinking of getting a new dog. Just having a new dog for Cookie to play with."

"Can't believe you named your dog after something that you were craving for," Roger chuckled, the standing next to each other as Brian told them to. Gisele snorted.

"Who doesn't crave cookies?"

Roger smiled.

"Gisele," Freddie called, "we need to start singing. Only a few verses. By the way, I invited Paul over for dinner with your family. Is that fine?"

Gisele held back a "no", looking at Roger, the boys, and the women who all stared at the girl worryingly. Gisele nodded, looking down as she felt Roger intertwine their fingers together.

"I'll be there too."

It was awkward. Very awkward. The only sound was the cling of the fork hitting the plate and the silent chuckles of the twins.

"How was recording today?" Nicole asked, eating the spaghetti Gisele made. Roger nodded, nudging Sabrina as she smiled when Roger offered her more food.

"It was great," Gisele smiled, feeling the gaze of Paul on her. She shifted in her seat, uncomfortable by the look he was giving her. Although she had dealt with it for years now, she can't get used to the lust hidden behind them. "Another hit we have. Great song."

"That's awesome!" Lekan exclaimed, high fiving his aunt. Gisele smiled, repeating the action. Johnnie whooped, slamming the fork on the table as he did so. Sabrina followed after, grinning when Gisele joined too.

"I'll call every day," Gisele said after the sound stopped. "Gotta make sure you both are doing great in college. You both never disappoint and I'm proud how far you have both come."

"We need to go," Gisele heard Paul tell Freddie. Freddie nodded, standing up. Gisele looked at him, raising her eyebrows at the man in question.

"Uh, we have a party to go at so we're going to leave," Freddie said, ignoring the look of confusion Gisele gave him. "After all, the party seems to be more exciting than this, am I right?"

Gisele looked down at what he said and the family looked at her, glaring at Freddie.

"You've become a bit of a dick," Johnnie commented. Paul stepped in immediately, glaring at the boy.

"What'd you say?"

"He wasn't talking to you Pablo," Sabrina said, rolling her eyes. Freddie and Paul looked at her before Sabrina continued. "You both have been dicks lately. You both know that, right? Pablo here thinks he's all shit just because Freddie is too afraid to be alone and now Pablo thinks he's all that just because he's hanging out with Freddie."

"Listen here you bit —" Paul started before Gisele stood up, slamming her hands on the table. Roger stood up as well, standing defensively behind Gisele.

"I want you both out," she calmly said. Freddie scoffed.

"Either way, darling, I didn't want to be here in the first place," Freddie turned around, leaving a saddened Gisele behind. "And you should maybe give it a thought on joining a new band. Women don't know much about music."

Gisele looked at him and Freddie seemed to realize what he said.

"No, that's not what I meant—"

"Don't even explain, Freddie. I'll see you later. And just so you know, I will never leave Queen. I love you all too much to leave."

Roger looked after the two retreating figures, staring back at Gisele who softly smiled at all the looks she was receiving.

"I'm fine," she mumbled. "Can we please get back to dinner? I'm starving."

sorry... you think this
is worst, wait until you
read what happens later on.
