Dear Miss Wi,

I'm here to communicate that I have several precious pieces of information on subject Maeng Dalhwan, so I hope you'll take some time to read it carefully.

As you know, Mr. Maeng is active on SoundCloud and is also present on Spotify, as well as mainstream social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube to name a few).

What Mr. Maeng failed to inform you on, however, involves his own identity, not as an artist but as a person. Before you let yourself be distraught by learning this information, I want to tell you that he initially meant to reveal his true identity on several other occasions but external factors, as well as internal pressures from his company, prevented him from doing so.

Maeng Dalhwan is actually Byun Yongseok. He uses the moniker you know him by only for his activities on SoundCloud, as well as for his interactions with you. He acknowledges that using his real name with you would not sit well with the company as they'd call him out for being informal to a stranger.

He is part of a group called BLAC6IX, where he is the oldest member. By the way, he is not the only one who started exchanging letters and e-mails to someone else under a pen name. Another member, Lee Jongwoon, also did this, under the name "Lee Jaeseok."

As much as I'd like to tell you more about how we faced this situation, I'm afraid this is not possible due to company orders and I won't be able to tell you anything more about it. What I can assure you, however, is that the content of this e-mail is authentic.

I hope you'll have the chance to talk to Mr. Maeng (or Mr. Byun, as you prefer) about it as soon as possible and learn more about him from himself.
