[Diary entry #6: February 7, 2020]

It turned out I was not completely wrong about Byeongguk possibly being gay. While opening my brand new Tinder account, I found a profile among suggestions that matches him! There, he mentioned being single and interested in men. This is proof! I wanted to send it to Seho, but I knew that he wouldn't believe me, so I just took a screenshot and kept it for myself.

What happened later, however, left me distraught and confused.

It turned out that Seho told Mom about my idea of joining Tinder! I mean, why would he betray me this way! I was supposed to tell her myself!

She was shocked when she learned this and even demanded an explanation. I only managed to tell her that I was desperate and that this was the only way I still had to get a girlfriend. She, however, didn't take it and stated that I had to ask someone out the old fashioned way: in person. All in spite of my multiple failures!

Of course, I locked myself in my room, secretly wishing I could flip her off. But hey, she's my mother! If I did, she'd disown me.

I don't want her to pick a girlfriend for me, though. Every time she tried to set up dates this way, it always ended up in failure for many different reasons, and I don't want to break more girls' hearts for this anymore.

Tinder is the perfect way to reinvent myself, and I won't let my mother take it away that easily.
