Katherine walked to the market and bough some of the things she made on her list.

She then went to the fabric store . She wanted to get something she could make a nice dining cloth and maybe a bed for the dog . "Katherine! " someone yelled .

"Clara ? Hello " Katherine said and hugged her sister .

"Katherine ! How are you ? Ms. Kelly !" Clara smiled .

"I'm well ... How are you ? How's mama and papa ? -"

"They're both fine ! But guess what ?!"

"What Clara ?" Katherine asked looking at some of the fabrics .

"Last night at your reception I met a young man ! And he asked papa if we could get married ! I mean ... I've met him before but we really connected last night ! I'm getting married !" Clara said showing her sister her ring .

"I haven't even been married for a day and you're engaged ! Wonderful Clara and I'm so happy for you ! What's his name ?" Katherine asked picking a blue fabric.

"David ... David Jacobs ! Sara's older brother ! Oh gosh Katherine! I love him so much !" Clara said dreamily .

"You love him ?" Katherine asked .

"Yes ! Oh I'm so happy ! I was just here picking some fabric for my wedding dress ... I've gotta go ... I'll see you later ! Bye !" Clara said and hugged her . Katherine hugged her back . She bought he fabric and went to her house . The dog was there on her couch .

"Get off !" Katherine said shooing him . The dog began to bark more and more . Katherine rolled her eyes and took him outside . They're backyard was fenced pretty well , so she let him go play .

She put her groceries away and began to make something out of the fabric . She decided that she would make a nice table cloth .

She sewed on some small patterns and then began to make dinner . She cooked some stew with meat and vegetables. She put the wine to chill and let the stew steam . She then went upstairs to the bedroom and began to make the bed .

She picked up jacks dirty clothes and put them in a hamper as well as his pajamas. She cleaned up the bathroom and put some fresh towels for when Jack would shower .

She went back to her cloth and sewed a bit more . Then the door opened and Jack came in . He had his painters belt in one hand and his bag .

"Hi ... Are you hungry ? Suppers ready I just need -"

"Yeah I'm starving ... Let me just put my belt away " Jack said and walked up stairs .

Katherine grabbed two bowls and cups and poured some wine and soup . She decided on drinking water but in case Jack wanted some .

Jack came down and sat across from her , they joined hands and prayed .

"Amen " they said at the same time . Katherine began to eat her food and Jack took a sip of his wine .

"How was work ?" Katherine asked .

"Okay... So many people bombarded me with questions of you ... What you look like ... How old you are ... What's your name .... If we're happy .... " Jack said and took a bite of the meat in the stew .

"What did you say ?" Katherine asked rather interested .

"That your name is Katherine, your 17. Your Mr. Pulitzer's eldest and we're happy ... Also that your beautiful " Jack said .

"You think that ?" Katherine asked .

"We are happy aren't we -?"

"No ... Well yes ... But.... You think I'm beautiful?" Katherine asked .

"Well ... Yes ... " Jack said and went back to eating . She had been only married for 36 hours and she barley knew anything about Jack besides his age , dog , Job and that he thinks she beautiful.

"My sister Clara is marrying David Jacobs ... I saw her today ... He asked yesterday at the reception " Katherine said .

"Davey ? Really ? Wow ... Guess that will be our first outing as a married couple " Jack said .

"Yes ... She claims that she loves him ... I don't think that she could love him ... Love just doesn't seem real ...." Katherine said and got up to put her dish in the sink .

"Why don't you think love is real ?" Jack asked .

"Well ... Loving your family ... But not the type of love you in a fairytale " Katherine said and began to wash the dishes.

Jack came and out his dish in the sink and leaned against the counter .

"What ? You don't think that love could exist ?" Jack asked .

"No ... My parents had an arranged marriage... My grand parents from both my mother and my father had arranged marriages ... Everyone in my family has had an arranged marriage... Love can't be real ... " Katherine sighed and poured more warm water in the sink .

"Yes it can ! My mother and father married for love -"

"But that's not what I've seen growing up ! Jack look ... We had an arranged marriage... Maybe in time we'll grow fond of each other ... But love is feeling that you can't be without someone and you spend every waking moment thinking of that person ! And it's like magic ... And magic doesn't exist.." Katherine said and Jack grabbed one of the dishes and dried them .

"You really think so ?" He asked opening the cabinet to put the dish in .

"I know so ... I need to bring in Barak inside " Katherine said and went to go get him.
