Growing up while her older brother was beginning to make a name for himself in the world of professional football was not as easy as one might imagine. She never cared for the sport, she hated being so far away from her brother during his time playing for Sunderland while she was a child, and she hated when people assumed that she had it easy because her brother was Roy Kent.

After earning a degree in Media Studies Billie returned home to West London where you'd expect opportunities to be plentiful. Wrong. So when her brother makes her an offer to play the nepo-sibling card after a pile of rejected job applications, Billie Kent realises she'd be stupid to say no.

Working at her brother's football club was never something that Billie wanted, but it was also an opportunity she couldn't turn down. It was an opportunity that millions would dream of, and she knew that. But one person's dream might just have been Billie Kent's nightmare.

All it takes is a man like Jamie Tartt, AFC Richmond's starboy striker with an ego bigger than the London Borough of Richmond to test her patience and push her buttons. A man who makes her heart race with anger, her eyes roll with irritation and vexes her beyond belief.

there are a number of reasons why i decided to write a fic based on ted lasso:
✨ it's a major comfort show for me so since it ended i need a way to fill the hole in my heart
✨ i fancied the challenge of writing comedy - my two other active fics are both quite heavy so fancied something fun!
✨ jamie tartt's character development is easily the best arc i've ever seen in any tv show (phil dunster deserved an emmy i'm so serious)
✨ i grew up near richmond so the town is something i hold very dear to me
