Chapter 10
Atathum watched the door screeched open to his still wrecked bedroom. He walked slowly into the room. Gül was hovering over his shoulder like those conscious force beings.
"I remember this moment very vividly!" Gül pointed out.
"This happened like not even two days ago!" Atathum replied.
"That's not why I remember it so vividly."
"Hmm, I wonder what else it could be."
"Take a wild guess."
"I tried to destroy you with my Force Whirlwind, but it didn't work."
"B-B-B-Bingo! We have a winner!"
"What in the blazes was that, Gül?"
"Geeze, kid, I was just trying to have some fun with you."
Atathum gave Gül a disgusted look, and then completely walked into his room. It looked as if the droid armies had gone through and destroyed the place, and didn't bother to pick anything up. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and extended his arms slightly from his sides.
The room suddenly came to life. The closet levitated, the bed was being reassembled, the counters moved upwards, everything was moving. Gül watched Atathum calmly move everything. Once everything was in place, Atathum moved his hands down, and opened his eyes once more.
"You know, you could do so much more if I helped you," Gül pointed out as he leaned against a wall.
Atathum turned to face him. "Don't you dare--" Atathum began. A sound suddenly started to echo throughout the room. They sound gradually got louder. Atathum used the force and grabbed his lightsaber. He backed up, worried on where the sound was coming from. Gül seemed to move towards the wall. He listened to the wall.
"I think the sound--" Gül began before a fist suddenly punched him out of the way.
The fist retracted, and Atathum put the lightsaber down at his side. Out of the hole emerged Lilak. Atathum had to cover his mouth to keep himself from laughing.
"Sorry," Lilak apologized, "I just felt like I needed to punch that wall in that specific spot."
Gül stood up, frustrated, his orange eyes flaming like never before.
"That is the exact same girl who hit me twice earlier!!" Gül shouted.
Atathum bit his lip while his body started to shake, all the while he was grinning like a youngling that got his first lightsaber.
"What's so funny?" Lilak asked.
Atathum moved his hand to show that nothing was going on, but it was hard to contain his laughter.
"Okay...I just hope you have a good...rest of the day..."
"Mmhm."
Atathum waved goodbye as Lilak walked out of the room, suspicious. As soon as she was gone, Atathum bursted out in laughter. Gül was glaring at him like he was being attacked by a weakling. Atathum looked at Gül and pointed his finger.
"You...are frustrated...at my friend...who is quite..." Atathum said between laughs, unable to finish his sentence.
Gül glared at Atathum again. Suddenly, his face seemed to brighten like an idea popped into his head. He grinned.
"Yeah, she is quite pretty, being your crush you know," Gül said.
Atathum stopped laughing. He broke out into a cold sweat. His breathing quickened. He looked at Gül.
"You...you...you know?" Atathum asked, terrified.
Gül nodded, very slowly, smiling his regular ol' grin the whole time. Atathum almost fell over. He didn't know what to think. His mind was so clouded that he couldn't think. He felt like he couldn't control anything, and he just wanted it to be over.
"Gül, stop," Atathum begged, shaklee.
"Not until you agree to let me help you," Gül replied.
"I'll think about it."
"Finally, making progress."
Atathum could suddenly think again. He stood up. He looked at Gül, but he didn't glare at him. He walked out of the room. Gül followed, knowing that he could stay with him longer.
Everytime Atathum turned his head, any one he saw was dead, or either killed by some weapon of some sort. Atathum's pace quickened, and his heart started to beat faster. Suddenly, he ran into a three-year-old youngling.
"Is something wrong, mister Duskrider?" the youngling asked.
Atathum couldn't respond, for he was watching a cloaked figure with a giant scythe walking up.
