Elaine's POV

Yeah. My mansion is pretty quiet. I mean, of corse it is- I'm the only one living here. But I don't mind it. I've never really liked people. People never really liked me. They say I'm too sarcastic. That I'm too blunt. And that I have no filter. I probably don't. I don't really care though.

BANG BANG BANG

I opened my eyes and sat up in bed. Someone was knocking on my door. Groaning, I threw the covers off. I sighed and walked downstairs. They banged on the door again.

"Hold your horses! I'm coming...." I yelled impatiently. But they kept banging. I growled and opened the door. A boy stood in front of me with a hood over his head. He looked at me and smiled.

"Hi I'm Jordan! Nice to meet you!" Then he walked past me and into my house.

"Hey!" I closed the door and tried to catch up to him. "You can't just- ugh!Stop walkin will ya?"

"This is a pretty big house ma'am." He looked around.

"Yeah yeah. Hold on there!" I tried to grab him but pulled down his hood instead. I stopped, completely shocked. He had cat ears. He turned and smiled at me.

My mouth hung open for a second, "You..... You have cat ears......" I mumbled.

He nodded.

"Are.....are those real?!"

"Of corse," he said. The ears twitched.

My eyes widened, "Oh my stars. You have cat ears...."

He giggled a bit and walked over to me. He grabbed my hand and put it on his head. I looked down at him and raised my eyebrows. Then he walked away and my hand dropped, swinging by my side.

"So can I stay?" He walked into another room-the kitchen.

"Uh...." I stuttered to speak and followed him, "Why?...."

He sat at my counter and laid his head on his arms. I sat next to him. He shrugged, "I need a master..."

"Like... A pet owner or something?"

"I guess." Jordan looked sideways at me.

"Uh... I don't know. You kinda just showed up. And came in without me inviting you in." I put my hands in my lap.

He lifted his head, "I'll be good! I promise!"

I turned towards him and raised my eyebrows. "Uh......" I sighed, "Fine..."
