Chapter 1: A Forbidden Love.
After the next few month's, Meg had found himself secluded and much more of a loner in the order than he had hoped. Many student's chose not to approach him, or very much talk to him after their first arrival on Tython, some were just a bit too afraid to do so anyway.
The very fact that he was given greater allowances then the other's was still a surprise to him, and the many other's who joined him in their path to become, Jedi knight's of the Republic.
The day he set foot on the planet, he was wisped away by two master's and brought to the council chamber where he had met the Grand Master Satele Shan, who in return stated that he would given his own private quarter's, which in fact he knew was never heard of for Padawan's.
The very fact of what she told him of how she knew of his family, and the bond she shared with his mother was another shocking and surprising fact. His mother was a Jedi, just like his father, but from what Satele had told him was that his mother had served and became her apprentice had a young age, but during the final day's of her training his mother was given to another Master, for reason's even he didn't know.
The bond the two had shared was clearly strong, he could note the affection the woman had in her tone of voice, and her stance as she talked about his mother. This would take some getting used to, but he could manage with it. That and the negativity he would probably get from the other student's and Master's once they heard of this, gossip spread like a wild-fire here, and he could deal with it...he dealt with a lot before and he could do it again.
She told him however that this was a great honor, and the only way that she could honor and repay his mother for everything she did year's ago, there was only one more thing, and that was a another room had been given to Master Zho and a young boy. Yet he knew no-one would mind considering that Master Zho was for one his caretaker, two he lived with the boy, and three the boy was too young itself which was why the Jedi master had to live with him, to protect and watch over him.
Though thing's here was ok to begin with, Training was nothing more the what he had expected, Brutal with the flesh raider attack's, and boring at time's with the constant classes, learning of life, and other method's such as meditating or communing with the force.
Everyone mostly avoided him throughout his time here, and he was completely fine with that, they especially ignored him after many found him sporting a mask to cover his face.
Some Master's had noted the mask itself was old and could be considered a Relic of any kind, however he was given permission to keep it and to wear it at all time's by Satele Shan once more, clearly to her it meant nothing...yet to him it meant a bit much more.
He never felt comfortable around other's, he never truly did after the sacking, and the loss of his family. Though it was because of this he felt comfortable with no-one approaching him or talking to him, he didn't really care...nor did he want anyone to talk to him.
Until he met her.
It was just a normal day in their studies of learning about the history of the order, at least until he felt as if though he was being watched. He turned his head slightly and looked around, everyone else were studying such as he, except for the young woman he saw sitting at the desk next to him. He usually saw the constant look's between him and her book, he was being cautious as he continued to note her still looking, she seemed to be studying him the entire time...at least until their eye's met at a point, well his eye's behind the mask anyway.
After that she seemed to be more silent and more of stern type, she never really spoke a word and never seemed to be around other's such as he, that he found very interesting.
He was known around by the Master's and other's as the biggest gossip in the entire temple at the time, everyone was usually talking about him and he knew that, but he didn't care...neither did that young woman he noticed.
Once he passed by the group of Master's he knew of...or at least the group that talked about him constantly, he once again saw her...she seemed to be listening in to the group as they talked. The very nature of what they talked about was disturbing at best, everyone here had suspicions about him....the number one was that he would have been the supposed child of Satele Shan.
Many considered this fact because only some knew of this, but other's tried to piece it together...and the result's were never truthful, yet the idiot's around here would never understand that or listen to reason.
He shook his head once and moved on to the mess hall to eat, but moment's later he heard the sound's of an older man shouting at the group at the top of the stairs. At least it was good to know some people here didn't like this idle gossip...he certainly didn't.
When he entered the mess hall, he noticed that many In the room were talking and grouping up to eat, he wasn't one of them as he approached the table in the corner and sat down...usually they had to wait so he was contempt with waiting.
He looked around the room in silence, everyone seemed to be ignoring him and he was thankful for that at least.
That was until she walked in.
She looked around the room in silence, he noticed she wasn't even noticed or greeted by anyone else, the rumor was true it would seem. He had heard from some student's talking about the woman behind her back, calling her name's and other such insult's, yet the most prominate was the nickname they had given her which in fact she was called a 'Coruscant Princess' at least that was until they noticed him staring and they stopped in their track's before speaking any further.
She seemed uncomfortable as he was alongside these other apprentice's and student's, something he liked really, but soon when he felt her turn her attention toward's him he shifted his gaze to stare the nearest group of student's.
And then she walked up to him and stood there, and asked if she could join him at the table. He looked up at her and his eye's widened behind his mask...he felt the sudden change of the air in the room, the sudden silence and the many stares they were getting from mostly everyone in the room. It struck him as he looked at her only, and then he thought to himself silently...and then that's when he made his decision, and not only surprised her...yet everyone in the room.
"Sure." He had spoke softly with a shrug.

They ate silently after for some time, he could tell she was feeling weird as he held his mask to the side to cover his face as he ate. He could clearly tell she was curious why he went so far to hide himself, but he wouldn't say...and she probably knew that.
He could tell she was aware as he at the hushed tone's in the mess hall and the very fact that they were being stared at and being whispered about. It was taking some time for them both to be comfortable enough to even eat, much less speak to each other if that was her intent.
Finally she began to speak and asked him question's, many in fact, but he simply refused until to the point he knew she was about to give up.
"At least you could tell me you're name if nothing else." She stated with what he could tell was a hurt expression, and noted that she pushed her meal away from her.
She started talking again, this time telling him about herself, what her name was, where she was from, what she hoped for once she was a Jedi, and though he nodded at her as soon as she asked about his detail's, he simply ignored her and continued eating.
He didn't want to like her, and he certainly did not want her to learn about his past and his history, no that would have her leaving or running from the table. However when he looked over at her he felt the wave of offense he must have given to her, along with the hurt and that made him ache in his chest for some odd reason.
He couldn't really keep her hanging after what she did to approach him, she had gut's to walk over and talk to him...he liked that to be honest, though he wanted to refuse speaking to her, yet....he couldn't. He was not sure why and was concerned at that fact, very much to note.
He didn't want anymore problem's, certainly not now anyway as he knew he didn't have any control in this situation.
"Megrybo Skylighter, everyone has to know it by now as they continue to talk about me here, at least for me they don't call me a Coruscant Princess, Jaelynne Isis." He stated slightly, and then after glared at the other's in the room, who then after looked away and continued their conversation's.
He smiled at their uncomfortableness as they continued to speak, he then looked at her and could see the happiness in her face, as she too smiled with a very kind expression.
His breath caught at his reaction to the situation, and was startled by it. This couldn't happen he had told himself. It was forbidden in the order.
"I Should go." He said, getting ready to stand.
"Wait. Please!" He heard her say and that's when he felt her grab his hand and held on to it, he could tell she was breathing with some difficulty and when he looked at her, she returned the glare and then they both looked at their linked hand's. She whipped her hand away, and folded it into her lap under the table. She looked over his shoulder in discomfort, before she started to speak.
"I am sorry, I don't know why-"
"It's okay." He said quietly, interrupting her. She looked up at him, and he noticed her blushing furiously. She was so pretty-no beautiful. He couldn't help smiling at her, he knew she was shorter than him, but her appearance was very attractive to him at least, she had dark brown hair compared to his light brown hair, she had feature's both facial wise and body wise that would have had any man staring at her, at least no-one here did that anyway.
He sat back down and settled in it and he could tell she seemed relaxed after which. They refused to see if the other's were watching again, but they knew because of their hushed tone's and whisper's.
"I wear the mask because is scarred and I am uncomfortable with other's seeing it or them knowing my thought's or feeling's, it help's I guess." He had decided to open up to one of her question's earlier, though he had never had this much trouble talking before to well...anyone.
She nodded at that fact and spoke lightly this time. "I get it. I think you should let people see you though, but I do understand."
She asked why was he given a private quarter's as well, in which he responded in the same reason, which left her in a uncomfortable stance after. Soon however they found themselves talking about the status of Coruscant and their belief of the status of the Republic, that was until several Master's came and told them that light's were out...and soon after they found themselve's talking in general.
***
They talked a lot after that, and were seen together a lot. They were drawn to each other and many in the order saw it and whispered about it. They were called into Satele Shan's office one day and 'Educated' in the forbidden wisdom of no attachment's and love. They both however denied the allegation's and to please the Grand Master, especially when she gave him a look as the two left.
They tried to avoid each other after word's, but it was sometimes impossible, and they couldn't stay away from each other to begin with.
It didn't help when they learned they were to be paired together and chosen to be Padawan's in the Guild: Imperial Demise.
He hadn't heard the news until she had told him, along with the fact that their new Master's, Evanias Blane, and Seakata Cathai would be making them partner's in the guild...this made them both happy as they would still be together after Tython, and the fact that they would still remain in contact even after their knighting.
Megrybo was known as the type that would keep to himself more at time's, and that made him trustworthy as much as it made Jaelynne. However it was because of her he tended to break the rules, he couldn't get enough of her such as she was the same with him. Often the two met In secret, sometimes it was in his quarter's which was mostly the only place they could get some privacy. Though the fact that she made him take off his mask every time they were alone, was at first strange too him...yet later he seemed to acknowledge it as a normal routine. Every time they met however she always seemed to be more and more affected by the time they spent together, he figured that when she had ran her finger's in his hair and always admire his facial feature's. Though it was still a point of contention when it came to the scarring he bared on his face, but she calmly and sweetly spoke to him about it, and once mentioned he could grow a beard so that other's would look at that first, and that way he could keep the mask off more. He agreed....of course, but he still wouldn't take it off for anyone, but her.
It wasn't just the touching, but the two would usually kiss as well...the two did this for month's until they finally gave into their lust for one another. Both were afraid of being caught and cast out of the order, but the two couldn't resist the affection they had on each other...they were human after all. Their first time however was as any romantic as it could get, and that's what concerned them...because if anyone found out about this...they could kiss their hopes of becoming Jedi, Goodbye. Their relationship continued however, they merley spit on the rules to be damned with it.
For a long time they hit it very well, at least that was until Evanias came looking for his Padawan, and found Jaelynne-clothed thank the force, but reading a book in his quarter's. They both waited for him to speak, both afraid of what might happen or if he knew.
However he didn't suspect anything, with them both fully clothed and reading their textbook's, they were partner's either way. He did however tell them how other's would see it if they were seen alone in Meg's quarter's.
He told them to study publically from that point on, and looked at Jaelynne in a manner that made her understand that he wanted her to leave, which she did after she said her Goodbye's to Meg.
Their relationship continued however, and after the incident it thankfully was the only one. He knew however that Jaelynne was having issues with it...he couldn't blame her though.
"This isn't wrong. I truly don't Care what anyone say's, but I am so scared that we are going to get caught. They will make us leave." She stated sadly as they both layed together after making love one evening.
Her head was placed on his chest as he sighed heavily, she could feel the discomfort he felt as well, he wrapped his arm around her and she seemed to relax a little. He loved her and she knew that, he knew that she loved him the same...yet they had no idea if they could keep this up for much longer, though they wanted to be Jedi...and despite it they both couldn't do it without each other by their side's.
"Would it be so bad if we Can't have this and be Jedi at the same time, Jael? Maybe we have a choice we will have to make whether we like it or not." He sighed at his suggestion, but he felt her shift and shake a little after.
She looked up at him, in utter horror at his statement. "No! I Can't! I won't, Just no."
It was the end of it after that, their relationship continued much to their worrying, but they couldn't blame each other for their continuing love. At least until Seakata had seen Jaelynne leaving his room that very night.
The two began watching them, seeing obvious sign's from them both and were alarmed by it, they decided to go to the Guild Master one Melvas Skybolt, a very quiet, but very tall man who barley said any word's at times.
They hadn't known until they were called to be brought before him, where he soon shown his own fit of anger, by yelling at the two younger pupil's who were very much horrified at first for their discovery....they didn't have much to fear however.
It was a known rule in Imperial Demise that love is not very lenient or beyond a penalty, Melvas himself was secretly married that some knew, but he surprised the two of them and their master's when he told them to be more secretive with their relationship and to be more careful with it.
After the day, the two continued their relationship, but under more secretive constriction's. They both concentrated on their studies on Tython and to finish their training. Everyday was like being forced to do so, but they knew the consequences if they were found out now...and they couldn't do anything about it, the two loved each other more then the other...and nothing could keep them apart.
At least he hoped in the long run.
