Chapter 1: Getting Used to This
You and Kirumi are in your private VTOL heading for Omega Corp Headquarters. During the trip, you saw a massive city that has Omega Corp's brand everywhere.
Kirumi: "So this is Omega Corp World Headquarters."
"Yep. The city is where many Omega employees live. Believe it or not, the city spans the West Coast."
Kirumi: "I believe it. The thing was all over the news, along with Omega buying up part of the United States' debt."
"Yep, we're on par with the Togami Corporation."
She noticed how you were paying attention to all the holographic screens and turned them off.
Kirumi: "Apologies master, but I believe it'd be best for you not to stare at them for such a long time."
"Understood. Thank you for your advice."
Kirumi: "It's a maid's duty to care for their master."
The VTOL landed and your wheelchair separated from it; however, Kirumi got behind and pushed the wheelchair. You were unsure of how to feel, but welcomed the gesture.
"If it's a bit difficult to push me, I can drive my chair."
Kirumi: "Worry not, master Y/N. I'm stronger than I look."
"I have no doubt."
Kirumi pushed you to your office and placed yourself in front of your desk.
"Thank you, Kirumi. You can sit down for the time being if you want."
Kirumi: "Thank you Master, but I am fine with standing. It was a long flight."
"Fair."
You received a call from the board and dealt with their desires to either reactivate the weapons divisions or continue buying up parts of America. After an hour, the call ended and you sighed.
"What is it with them and getting more powerful? I've hardly seen a single good thing come from weapons and taking over everything."
Kirumi: "Shall I bring some tea, master?"
"Gladly, Kirumi. Here's a map."
You handed her a map and she exited the office. You then pulled up a hologram and saw the status of your medication.
"I could use a jog once I take them. Good thing there is a way to help me walk without those mechanical leg braces."
After a few minutes, you turned off your screens and saw Kirumi enter while holding a plate with a teapot and cups. She put them on the desk before pouring tea into one of the cups and gave it to you.
"Thank you, Kirumi."
Kirumi: "You're welcome, master."
"I don't mean to be offensive when I say I'm having difficulties getting used to that."
Kirumi: "I understand. This is recent and it'll take a bit more time, but I think you'll get used to it."
"Yeah, perhaps."
Kirumi poured some tea for herself and drank with you.
