First of all, a very happy New Year to all of you. I pray that this year brings lots of happiness in your life. I know it's been a long time, I haven't updated and I won't give any excuse for it. I just wanted to be alone and stay away from everyone, specially from social media, that's why I was away from wattpad. But yes, I am back now and will update the other stories soon.

     Neil was sitting on bed with a stern   face. His hands were on his thighs and his eyes were fixed on a scared mickey, who's head was down.

Neil - look at me, Mickey

     Neil ordered but Mickey didn't dare to look at Neil. He was praying God to send his angel, Avni to save him from Neil.

~ Flashback ~

    After the morning incident Mithali was out of her mind. Neil's words were hurting her. She couldn't bear his rudeness. She wants Neil's love.

    Mithali was pacing back and forth in her room cursing Mickey.

Mithali - it's all because of that bloody dog Neil insulted me. I should have killed him..... but how he came back ?

     She called the man, who helped her to take Mickey away and vented all her anger on him.

Mithali - I have to do something for the sake of my self respect or else Neil will think I have no shame.

      She thought for a moment and then smirked evilly.

Mithali - now you will plead me to stay in your home, Neil

                                   *

    Avneil were having their breakfast and Mickey was playing with his toys in living room. Mithali came joined Avneil on dining table and sat opposite of Avni. Mithali cleared her throat before starting the conversation.

Mithali  - I'm leaving today

        Avneil looked up at her immediately with surprise.

Avni - really ? ( she asked to confirm the good news )

    Neil kicked Avni's leg gently under the table to keep her excitement in control. Avni bites her lips and looks down at her plate.

Neil - are you sure ?

Mithali - yes. I'm completely fine now so I can go back to my apartment.

Neil - as you wish

    Deep down Mithali was disheartened that Neil didn't even try to stop her,  but she didn't let the fact to overcome her obsession.

        As soon as Mithali walked away from there Neil started dancing. Avni giggles looking at Neil then she also joined him in dancing. They were very happy that finally mithali was going.

     Mithali came to the living room where Mickey was playing with his ball. Mithali stands at a safe distance from Mickey, crossing her hands over her chest.

    Mickey stopped playing and glared at her. Mithali smirked and bend down on her knees. She pulled out a small scarf which Mickey immediately recognized who's it was and started barking at Mithali.

Mithali - yes Mickey, it's Avni's scarf. Do you want it ?

     She said showing the scarf to Mickey and when Mickey tried to reach the scarf, she stood up and started running away. Mickey ran after Mithali for Avni's scarf.

Mithali  - ahh bachao...Neil help...Neil please save me from Mickey...Neil

     
       Hearing Mithali's scream, Avneil stopped dancing  and came in to the hall where Mickey was running behind Mithali. Mickey didn't want to bite her, but it seemed due to Mithali's screaming and fake scare drama. Mithali had already hidden the scarf inside her top.

Neil - What the hell is happening here ?

Mithali - See Neil Mickey is running behind me for no reason. He will bite me.... please save me Neil. ( she said while running )

Avni - miku stop

      Avni kept on shouting but Mickey didn't stop so she ran behind Mickey to catch him. Before Avni could catch Mickey, Mithali fell down on floor and screamed holding her left hand. All this was her drama. She intentionally slipped on floor and pretended like she got a injury in her left hand.

Mithali  - ahhhh..my hand

       When Mithali fell down, Mickey stopped and started barking on her which made Neil more angry. Avni took Mickey to her arms but by then it was too late as Neil was already giving a stern look to Mickey. Mickey got scared of Neil and hide his face in Avni's arms  out of fear.

Mithali - ahhh....

     Mithali screamed again to grab Neil's attention. Neil frowned and then helped Mithali to stand on her feet.

      Neil took Mithali to the hospital where Mithali wanted to go. Mithali didn't even get a scratch but the doctor told them that she had a fracture in her left hand. Mithali had already given the doctor money to lie and the doctor did what he was told for.

   Neil apologized on behalf of Mickey but still Mithali continued her drama and threatened to tell her dad.

Neil - Mithali, you shouldn't call your dad. He will take stress unnecessarily. The doctor said you are fine, so why you want to disturb your dad ?

    Neil didn't want Mr Kapoor to know about this as he already threatened him once to take care of his daughter in his absence or else he would cancel their deal. When he will get to know the accident happened because of his puppy, he wouldn't be happy with it. He did not want that silly incident to affect their project and ruin all his hard work.

Mithali - I need my father, Neil. I'm alone here. I need someone to take care of me.

Neil - we will take care of you, Mithali. You are not alone here, I and Avni are with you. After all it all happened because of Mickey so it's our responsibility to make everything alright. You don't need to call your father, we will take care of you. 

Mithali - I don't want be a burden on you, Neil.

Neil - you aren't, Mithali.

Mithali - are you sure ?

Neil - yes. ( giving a fake smile )

Mithali - okay then

        Neil sighed in releaf,  but then frowned as he have to bear her till she get fully recovered. Their happiness was short lived.

Neil in mind - Mickey....

~ Present ~

Neil - what's your problem with mithali, Mickey ?

    Neil frowned seeing Mickey's sad face.

Neil - don't give me that look Mickey. That is not going to work on me.

        Neil stated in a stern voice. Just then the door of the opened and Avni entered inside. As soon as Mickey saw Avni he ran to her and hide behind her legs.

Neil - come back here Mickey. Avni would not save you this time.

      Mickey clung to Avni's legs more. When Avni noticed Mickey was scared of Neil, she took him in her arms immediately. She rubbed her fur to comfort him which worked like always.

Avni - why my miku is so scared ?

   Mickey just looked at her with his shiny innocent eyes.

Avni - awww... my baby

      She then shifted her attention to Neil.

Avni - why are you scarring my Miku ?

      Neil was more annoyed now. She always favors Mickey no matter how mischievous he is. He was jealous of her puppy because she pays more attention to Mickey than him.

Neil - did you forget what he did to Mithali ?

     Avni frowned and rolled her eyes.

Avni - she slipped on floor while running, Mickey didn't push her.

Neil - I know but why he was running behind her without any reason ?

Avni - she must have did something

Neil - Avni, you can't always take his side, okay. This time it was Mickey's fault. Mithali got a fracture because of him. He shouldn't have done that.

Avni - my Mickey couldn't harm anyone without any reason, okay

Neil - Avni....

      Avni ignored him and came out of their bedroom with Mickey.

Neil - Avni

    Neil shouted but Avni was already out of her sight. Neil ran his fingers through his hair and kicked his leg on air in frustration.

After one hour

     Avni was sitting under a tree in garden with Mickey and continuesly blabbering about Neil.

Avni - I'm not going to talk with him. How he could scare you, Miku ?

   
     Mickey barked in response.

Avni - yes, it was because of Mithali.

    Avni huffed crossing her arms over her chest.

Avni - But...umm....Neil was also not completely wrong....I mean he too loves you, Miku. You know that, right ?

   She caressed his fur and a happy wide grin appeared on Mickey's face.

Avni - he was so happy that Mithali was finally going back, but now she isn't ( she sighed ) and he think it happened because of you, that's why he is upset with you

   Mickey made a sad face and bowed down his head.

Avni - don't be sad Miku, we will pacify him and I'm sure he will forgive you

   Mickey barked in response.

Avni - yeah, now let's go and start our mission
