Ouma's POV:

I miss giving people insults.

Most people would probably miss more things when they've lost their voice, you know like singing (hah jokes on them the only song I could ever sing was toxic), telling jokes...ok you know what I can miss two things, and of course, flirting.

Ok, maybe I miss more things than I thought. Because in my dreams I would be able to flirt with my boyfriend who happened to be an emo and able to get embarrassed easily- COME ON WORLD I COULD HAVE TURNED HIM INTO A TOMATO EVERY SINGLE DAY! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!

So minus the fact I can't tease my boyfriend, lost my trademark skill, and can no longer torture- I mean grace my neighbors with my melodic voice life has been going pretty well. 

Oh looks like I can still lie even without a voice.

While life has been pretty good lately, I mean I have a boyfriend and that boyfriend happens to be my dream guy- YES PLEASE! I also had to be the focus of medical studies because I had the most...unconventional case of Hanahaki in history, yay.

Half of my friends are god knows where.

Also, two of my friends are in prison.

Also, two of my friends are dead.

I've recovered from that trauma. I grew as a person and have learned to deal with that loss healthily and safely, and am doing great.

I wish I couldn't lie.

"Hey Kokichi" Shuichi called as I turned around, he was standing at the doorway all dressed up, "ready for date night?" he asked and I nodded getting off the bed and grinned, 'are we going to the amusement park?' I signed, "no because last time the Ferris wheel looked like it was going to self destruct while I was on," Shuichi told me.

'It creaked once' I reminded him, "once was enough thank you very much, no we're going to that burger place you like," he told me, I grinned 'aww I knew Shumai loved me!' I told him,  "of course I love you," he said as we walked towards the door he paused giving me a look over.

"Are you sure you don't need another jacket? I don't want you to get cold" he told me, 'Saihara chan I'm fine' I told him rolling my eyes, "we can just leave one in the car though, can you bring one just for goodness sake?" he asked.

I sighed, 'fine' I told him heading to grab one, 'happy now?' I asked showing him the white jacket, he looked down nervous, "nearly" he told me handing me a scarf, 'it's autumn' I reminded him, "and you get cold so easily, and that joint always puts the AC on full blast" he argued.

I reluctantly put on the violet scarf and we headed out.

'Hey Shumai can we get ice cream?' I asked when we headed inside, "sure if you're in the mood for dessert, Akamatsu told me about a great ice cream place she went to on a date recently," he told me, "I think it's a fifteen-minute walk from here up for it afterward?" he asked.

'What flavors do they have?' I asked Shuichi smiled, "I got a surprise when we get there, and trust me you'll love it" he promised, I raised an eyebrow, 'you better not be about to tell me they made bean boozled into ice cream flavors' I told him.

"Kokichi you know I would never do that to you....without a reason" he promised, I nodded as the waitress finally came to our table, she looked...well like she was having a hangover.

Despite it being eight o clock at night.

"Ugh hi what can I get for you?" she asked rolling her eyes, "Uhm, a menu please?" Shuichi asked nicely, she sighed, "ok and for drinks?" she asked, "a Panta and a taro tea please," Shuichi asked, she nodded writing it down "iced or hot?" she asked, "hot please," Shuichi told her, "ok then I'll have those out for you soon," she said walking away only coming back once to hand us...menus...

No...no this can't be happening again...god damn it....why?

"Kokichi you know I love you right?" Shuichi asked and I nodded, "you know you're the light of my life right?" he added, again I nodded, "ok, then you know I don't mean to hurt you when I ask why are you giving the waitress a staredown?" he asked, I looked at him seriously as I showed him the greatest offense I ever faced.

'She gave me a kiddie menu' I told him.

Shuichi then proved how great of a boyfriend he was by laughing for the next ten minutes.

He's lucky I love him.

'THEY HAD PANTA FLAVORED ICE CREAM?! GOD, I LOVE YOU YOU'RE THE BEST AND THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO MY OH THANK YOU GOD!' I told him excitedly jumping up and down as I felt like a little kid staring at the carton.

"I think I know why the waitress thought you were a kid" Shuichi joked, 'shut up!' I told him but I think he could tell I was joking too, I couldn't help smiling right now, "hey Kokichi...can we go outside for a bit before we order ice cream?" Shuichi asked nervously.

'But I just saw holy water in its true form' I complained, "just for one minute? I promise it'll be good" he promised. I shrugged, what can hurt right?

I followed him outside of the parlor as we headed near a closed coffee shop, it looked nice and it reminded me of our first date if we don't count the great ones I made when I was the phantom thief.

'It looks so pretty' I told him turning back to Shuichi.

He was on one knee.

My eyes widened as he was blushing heavily grabbing a small box from his jacket pocket and taking a deep breath.

"Kokichi, love of my life, when I first met you I knew one thing, I knew I wanted you as my friend because of how you were such a mystery to me, I wanted to know the mystery behind your lies and I wanted to know the person who told the amazing jokes, pulled the mischievous pranks, and always seemed to be a bundle of uncontrollable chaos.

"And I'm so glad I became friends with you, because ever since then every single day you make it so my days are filled with so much excitement and joy, and while we have our ups and downs, I vow to you even when we fight, even when we might not know what the future holds, and even if we both know we're not perfect and I'll make mistakes with you, I promise I will always love you, so Kokichi will you do me the honor of marrying me?" he asked.

I felt tears brimming in my eyes as I nodded, Shuichi still blushing put on the ring, it had a blue sapphire and Shuichi pulled out of his pocket a matching band with purple gems, "I thought it would fit us" he explained and I nodded, smiling so much it hurt as I crushed him into a hug.

"I'm so happy..." Shuichi sighed, "kind of thought you would think I was joking" he admitted and I pulled back and flicked him in the forehead gently, 'do you think I'm that bad of an idiot?; I asked.

"Well I know I can be so-"

'Let's go get some ice cream Shumai' I told him and dragged him off to the parlor.

In a perfect world that would have been how the day ended.

Congrats on pulling off that escape three years ago, the media truly thought you had died that day with your members so I have to give you a round of applause for that stunt. However, I think you and I both know that you can't hide forever.

As a result of your debts, I have decided to take your members as payment, if you ever want to see them again, alive and well turn yourself in and dedicate yourself as part of my syndicate, if not then suffer the consequences.

I will get paid, one way or another.
