"I- I-" I found myself stuttering, and I looked at the floor, unable to meet Whitney's eyes.

"Tell me when you decide. Take your time!"

Why.. why is this so hard to decide? What she has to say must be really important.. why don't I just say yes? Why can't I make myself say yes?

Then the answer hit me like a cold shower.

Am I.. in love with Chris?

"I'm- I'm sorry Whitney.. I have to say no."

The words flowed out of my mouth before I realized what I had said.

"WHAT?!" She shrieked, standing up.

"I- I'm sorry-"

"WHATEVER! FINE!" Whitney stormed out of the room, slamming the door as she stomped down the stairs.

I heard her footsteps fade off into the distance through my open window, she was still stomping, at 12:32 at night.

I couldn't suppress a giggle as I laid back down in bed and closed my eyes.

"Tomorrow." I murmured as I closed my sapphire blue orbs and went to sleep, my flowing locks falling around me, spreading across the bed like beams of rainbow sunlight.

Maybe it's not so bad to be special after all.
