THE STAND
BY STEPHEN KING
“I have sinned in pride.
So have you all.
But that's past now.
It's time now to give over
your will to the will of God.
It's time, to make your STAND.”

I feel the need to explain some of these choices, so Herr we go.
Timothy Olyphant is the perfect Texan to play the Texan, he can play a sweet leader and someone ready to knock you on your ass.
Naomi Scott could pull off the strong, young, pregnant woman so much better than Molly.
Yes, I am aware of Timothy's and Naomi's age difference. Are you aware of Stu's and Fran's?
Nick Andros and Tom Cullen were beyond the hardest to cast because Rob and Bill did so good in the miniseries, but all in all, Andrew Garfield is so good at portraying so much emotion in his facial expressions, which he doesn't receive much credit for, and could definitely pull off the deaf mute. While Jesse Plemons is a big guy who could easily pull off that child like innocence of Tom.
Garrett Hedlund is attractive and can sing, need I say more for him playing the rock star?
I really hope in the movie, they show Dayna and Susan's storyline before Stu and co. found them because, holy shit, if you have not read the book, these two women are so string and went through so much, and Dayna is such an important character who doesn't get the credit she deserves. Jordana could easily portray the badass lesbian, and Emma Bell is the perfect Susan, but people don't realize that the female leader is actually only in her 20s, according to the book.
Jeffrey Wright is the perfect Glen, he could pass as the wise man easily, and who wouldn't want to listen to him tell stories all day?
Mercedes Mason could pull off the housewife, but also add in that sassiness and independence Lucy has.
Rita is an important character in Larry's storyline, so hopefully they add her in the movie, and PRI yank a literally looks like a rich woman, and could definitely act the part of losing all hope for the world.
Robert Carlyle as the insane Trashcan Man? Need I say more?
Eva Green has that dark sexiness of Nadine, and it's honestly hard for me to picture anyone else in the role.
Matthew McConaughay is Randall Flagg - there are no other options for this role.
And Lana Condor and Blake Cooper? Both have played such sweet characters, but I could see the both of them channeling the inner psycho, and making it believable.
If you cannot tell, I tried to keep the cast's ages as close to the characters' ages in the book as possible, like Harold Lauder who is 16 but I've seen people use 25+ year olds.
If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it!!!
If you haven't seen the miniseries, you should, but the movie will be epic!!!
