But you didn't.

Wanda had suffered so much. She had lost her brother and now Vision - and now you had lost something too, you had lost her. Your best friend. You were the one who trusted Wanda and Pietro the moment you saw them coming back to you. Your powers told you they were sincere and wanted to help. And after Pietro's death, you and Wanda became close. You were the one who sat by her when she had nightmares of that day, you were the one who got her out of the bed in mornings, go grab a cup of coffee and go sit at the park. You were the one who got her enjoy life again.

Why did she leave, but you had to stay? You had nothing left. You had done so many mistakes, you had been the greater villain, you hadn't protected Wanda when she needed you, Vision and Pietro were on you too. Why did she have to go, but not you? She had so much more to give to the world than you.

The battlefield filled of cries as people had realized what had happened - and you were staring to the emptiness as you sat beside Vision's body.

You felt someone shaking you by your shoulder and making you stand up, muffled words being said, but you could only think one thing.

Wanda was gone. She wasn't coming back. You hadn't succeeded in protecting her.
