Prompt B4: "I might be having feelings for you, I've had them for a while." "Yeah right." "I'm serious."

"Listen to me, you could have been killed! That was reckless, Cap! In case you don't know, we need you," you complained to Steve as he walked down the hallway.

You and Steve had always had little fights, especially when there had been a close call - Steve didn't know it, but your heart jumped a little every time you saw him in danger. At first, you hadn't recgnized the feeling, but later realized that it was love. You loved Steve. But you were too scared to confess it to him - so you hid it, and your love and worry just bursted out whenever Steve was facing danger.

"It's my job as an Avenger, Y/N." Steve turned to face you as he stopped. "And in case you don't like it, don't be part of this. Why are you always harassing me anyways? Why do you want to piss me off?"

You bit on your tongue, not entirely sure if you should answer.

"Why do you hate me?" he muttered as he furrowed his eyebrows and you stared at him in shock. You never wanted him to think you hate him.

You shook your head before taking in a deep breath, and muttered, "No... it's not because I'd hate you. I just... I might be having feelings for you, I've had them for a while."

Steve scoffed and turned his head away from you. "Yeah right. At first you yell at me and now you're-"

You sighed loudly, cutting him off. "I'm serious."

You stared at each other for a few minutes, Steve tried to find a sign that you were kidding or something which shows you weren't serious, but when he didn't find anything, he let a soft smile coming on his face. "You know... I'm happy to hear that."

And with that, he disappeared to the office, leaving you standing in the hallway, wondering what he meant.
