[PS4 PETER PARKER DRABBLE]

Prompts: "Too bad, I wanted to see some ghosts."

Word count: 421

The creepy house at your home street had frightened kids for years - there was a rumor that someone shot their whole family there in the 1800's and it hasn't been taken down because the curse of that family guards the house forever.

But you, being the fan of ghost stories, wanted to take a closer look at the house and dragged Peter with you. But as he looked through his phone, he had discovered why the house has been abandoned for so long.

"Yep, no shootings nor has anyone died there. It has rotten floors and it's just not a generally safe place - that's why the family moved away a long time ago. In other words, the house has been empty for thirty years. Not a hundred."

"Oh. That's too bad, I wanted to see some ghosts." you pouted, making Peter chuckle.

"Sorry, no ghosts here."

You stood there watching the eerie house for a while, before Peter sighed and tugged your sleeve gently.

"I'm starting to get hungry. Should we fetch some pizza?" he asked and you smiled at him, before glancing at the house one last time.

"Yeah... I guess there's not anything to see here." you replied and slowly made your way towards the gate, but you stopped as Peter turned around to look at you but his eyes shot at the house that instant - and his face became as white as a sheet. You naturally thought he was just trying to joke around and shoved him on the shoulder.

"Y/N... there's someone in the window." he swallowed but you just laughed and glanced back, and saw nothing.

"Yeah, sure there is."

"There was!"

Peter seemed genuine, but he was a good actor and you knew he was trying to get you to be scared. You glanced at the house again - and saw nothing. Peter's eyes were still glued to the house and you took his hand, slowly guiding him away.

And as you made your way across the street, away from the house, the lady in the white dress stared at you from the window - grateful you hadn't stepped inside. The house was old and dangerous, and only those whose steps aren't in this world can wander there. She smiled, remembering how it had been when she had been in love for the first time, and seeing you and Peter walking down the street hand in hand made her happy. She loved watching people who were alive.

Even when she was not.
