Your eyes wandered through the tattered walls of the theater, landing on the stage and the graffitis written on the back wall. Flashbacks of clapping and laughter filled your head and then a blue boy of your age with a tail - a mutant child - was sitting in the audience, his red eyes fixated on you.
"What are you thinking?" Kurt asked as he saw you smiling at yourself. You shrugged.
"I just remembered... this is the place we first met. And now here we are, years later." you answered, as your eyes wandered to the loft - and you remembered sitting there with Kurt as twelve-year-olds, eating popcorn and watching the play where you didn't have a role.
You remembered falling asleep on Kurt and waking up when a cleaning lady spotted you at late evening. You remembered running home in the soaking rain, you remembered how Kurt first said he likes you - and you remembered how you turned him down, but later realizing that that odd feeling in your stomach meant that you liked Kurt too. You remembered your first date as a couple - you remembered people watching you two disapprovingly as you walked together - a human and a visible mutant.
You remembered how Kurt started doing circus as a hobby - and you remembered when Kurt had been kidnapped and taken to Munich to fight in mutant cage fights. You had been sure you had lost him forever, but then you found out that he was in the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters a whole year later. And there was no another thought, you immediately dropped everything you had going on and traveled there - and Charles let you in immediately after he saw your thoughts and memories.
You remembered kissing him harder than you ever had kissed him and everyone around you looking at you two like a bomb had just dropped. You smiled at the memory, and lifted your gaze up to Kurt, who was now standing in front of you, investigating the stage himself. You stepped forward, wrapped your arms around him and buried your face into his jacket.
Kurt flinched upon feeling you against him so suddenly, so he asked, "What are you doing?"
You smiled. "Showing you how much I love you."
Kurt relaxed to your touch, laying his three-fingered hands on yours and sighed, as you slowly started to sway with him in the middle of the abandoned theatre - the place where you had first met.
