- Bucky stays back and tries to deny his feelings towards you, because well...

- Your big brother might not like the feeling of his little sister being loved by someone in that way.

- Because protective big brothers seem to think that their little siblings will never be growing up. Like you know that type of a dad sitting in an armchair with a shotgun sitting on their lap when their child takes their first date home? Yeah, replace the dad with Tony.

- So yeah, you can be sure Tony is a bit protective.

- And especially after he gets to know that Bucky was the one to kill your parents... it's just a big no for him. He won't listen to any arguments about it.

- Bucky tries to honor Tony's wishes (as he's deeply sorry for killing of your parents, even when he was brainwashed and didn't even know what he was doing) and gives you space and Tony time to adjust to the thought that he could - maybe, one day - express his feelings towards you.

- But it's difficult because you don't have a clue about why Tony looks at Bucky with such a cold gaze and just assume he just has a bad day.

- And you still attempt to talk to Bucky and he can't help but smile at you and let you talk to him - he can't tell you to stay away and that results in Tony threatening him to leave you alone.

- He does, but he still can't stop you from coming to him.

- And he also can't stop himself from wanting to hold you close and giving you affection.

- But as a soldier, he knows how to restrain himself. He has made a wordless promise to Tony, and he intended to keep it until the very end, if he has to.

- But as time went by and Tony had realized little by little that Bucky wasn't in control when he killed your parents, Tony saw how happy you were when you were with Bucky, and he saw how Bucky looked at you. He saw how you looked into how he was as Bucky - not as the Winter Soldier. Winter Soldier wasn't Bucky in your eyes even when he had his face, so Bucky didn't kill your parents.

- And he just knew that Bucky wouldn't hurt you.

- And he finally gave his approval for Bucky to get closer to you, if he wanted. He was hesitant with that - not because he blamed Bucky for killing your parents anymore, but because of his role as a protective big brother.

- Bucky promised to treat you good, whatever you would answer to him when he would express his feelings towards you.

- And Tony smiled - you deserved happiness, as he had received happiness with Pepper and Morgan. Because he had seen how you looked at Bucky, and even when you hadn't said anything - Tony knew Bucky would make you very happy.
