You couldn't believe it. Bucky.

He was alive. And he was fighting the Avengers, he tried to kill Steve. But the moment you saw his face, you couldn't help it, you ran towards him.

"Bucky!"

He turned to look at you, no sign of recognition in his eyes, just pure coldness and the moment he saw you, he took a few steps towards you and you felt the barrel of the gun pressed against your forehead.

Until now you had forgotten what had happened moments before. And you realized it - someone had done something to him.

You had been frozen for almost 70 years - and just days before you had seen Bucky, your boyfriend since you were teenagers, fall to his death. You had believed you'd never see him again, you hadn't even had time to come in terms with it before you and Steve sacrificed yourselves, but now he was there, looking at you without emotions. He didn't recognize you.

"Bucky..."

"Who the hell is Bucky?" he asked and you shook your head.

"I love you."

Those three words seemed to stir something in his eyes. His expression softened just a tiny bit and his eyes had a flicker of a memory.

But then there was an explosion, you ducked from it and when you looked back, Bucky was already gone.

Steve stared the same spot as you, and furrowed his eyebrows.

"What- what did he say to you?" Steve asked and you pursed your lips.

"I think that... he almost remembered me."
