You were a sniper for the U.S. military, and a good one at that. Your skills were beyond most. Your heart in it as well as your soul.

You had given up alot for your country, that including relationships, joy and freedom, but you knew what you were getting yourself into when you joined.

You had lost so much to unjustly wars and trifle bickering of S.H.I.E.L.D and the government.

Unfortunately after S.H.I.E.L.D had found out about your skill set they recruited you to be an agent, much to your futile effort of objection.

After a few years you had been ordered to help the avengers and became quite close to a few of the members, that being Natasha, Clint and Bucky Barnes.

The four of you became an unstoppable team with you and Clint watching they're backs as they go into battle. Of course you also knew some hand-to-hand combat, but you just left all that to the assassins as you'd rather just watch from afar.

Occasionally you and Bucky would go on missions with just the two of you. As expected, assasin and sniper is a deadly force and not one you'd want to run into.

Which kinda leads to now as the one and only Captain America and Tony Stark are assigning missions to us.

I took a deep breath refocusing on the meeting, right on time as well as it seems Tony and Steve are assigning teams.

"Alright, Natasha and Clint. I want you two to sneak inside and get those files along with me." Cap orders as he gives out missions.

He's currently holding a clipboard standing next to Tony in the meeting room, everyone sitting there awaiting orders excluding thor, Sam, loki, vision and the Spider-ling.

"Wanda, we want you and Bruce on standby." Tony adds not looking up as he too has a clipboard he's intently staring at.

They groan a little before nodding they're heads in understanding.

They really are strong, but that's the thing, we don't want the whole building to collapse and our people to get caught up in the middle of it. So with unpleasure, Tony was kinda smart to put them on standby.

"Sam, Rohdy and I will take the air." Tony says breaking me out of my thoughts.

"And Bucky, you and (Y/N) will guard the perimeter incase things...... don't go as planned." Steve says only glancing up from the clipboard before going over the mission one more time.

Basically we are to sneak into a HYDRA base that is supposedly abandoned to a point. They still had people there, but not much since there isn't much importance.

The only reason we are going there is because there are some files in there that contain some information on Bucky and some file blueprints of a deadly weapon.

They never could figure out how to assemble it because they didnt have a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist on there side, but we don't want to wait long enough for them to find one.

After the meeting was over and everyone knew what they had to do, we decided to get a good night's rest before what was to come in the morning.

>MORNING<

Rising this early in the morning was never really ideal, but when you join a team that never really sleeps, it becomes a habit.

3:25 a.m.

Is what the old fashioned clock that was planted on my desk said. Letting out a groan I slammed my hand on the clock and started to get ready.

First I took a brisk warm shower, then I put on my suit that consists of black combat pants and a black long sleeve shirt.

After I got that on I did my hair and slid on my gun holsters and my knife in my dark brown leather combat boots.

As I left my room I went over the mission in my head, we get there, take out security, get the files and blue prints, then we get out. Simple.

"Oh, um, sorry. "

He reached out his hand to lift me off the floor where I had just moments ago fallen onto because I was to busy going over the mission to watch where I was walking.

"No worries buck."

I flashed him a grin before getting on my way again.

He gave a curt nod and made his way to him room where I assume he would be getting dressed due to the sweaty clothes he was wearing.

And like him I was on my way again heading towards the Quinjet. I've been on many missions before so this one should be a breeze since the place is basically abandoned.

I stepped on the platform to the Quinjet and set my bag down that consisted of, water, clothes and my cellphone. I never bring it with me down there but I always leave it on the plane, just in case.

You never know, you could always loose a peice of clothing, so that's why I have backup.

" Glad you could make it sparks." Tony's oh so amazing voice filled my ears. Glancing over him I just gave a curt nod before sitting down and strapping in.

I never wondered why he called me 'Sparks' . Yes it was unusual since he called people weird nicknames after there powers and by no means do I have powers.

"Alrighty team, ready for some yoga?" As soon as those words left Tony's mouth, we headed off.

Steve went over the mission again, making sure everyone knew what they were doing. Clint sat to my right and next to him was Natasha. Bucky sat on my left. Straight across from me was Wanda and to her right was Bruce. On Wanda's other side sat Rohdy. Of course Tony was piloting the jet and Steve was right next to him.

I let my mind wander before Clint's voice broke me from the thoughts, "ever been on a date kid?" He asked out of the blue.

"Why?"

"Why should you go on a date? Or why am I asking this question?" His lips pulled into a smirk as I left my face emotionless.

"Both, but mainly the second one."

"Yikes! Well, we were all talking about how many " Dates " Nat has been on and, y'know got me thinking since you don't talk about yourself much." He explains with a little glint in his eyes.

I breath out a sigh. These people will be the death of me and the chances of that is rather high considering our current carrier.

"Yeah sparks, all we know is that you worked in the U.S military!" Tony shouted from the front.

"Well is you must know, yes I have been on a date. Only a few and that was before I joined the military and I haven't been on a date since." I frown thinking back to before all this messed up shit.

My life didn't used to be like this. I had lots of friends and believe it or not I was actually popular in high-school. Never went to collage, just went straight to the military.

"Wow. So you haven't been on a date in that long." Clint chuckles and nudges Nat a bit.

"Clint, you should probably leave her alone." Bruce cuts in. "Well she hasn't been on a date in awhile, maybe after this we can get her one." Natasha grins looking at me.

"Her face tells me otherwise." Wanda points out and she wasn't wrong. I haven't been on a date in awhile and I'm not planning to anytime soon.

"Just a thought." Clint says putting his hands up.

"Alright paladins time to get crazy!" Tony shouts landing the jet.

I roll my eyes before unclipping my straps and rechecked my weapons, strapped on my bullet proof vest, then checked my com, and hair. Can't have that getting in the way.

"You ready?" Bucky asks giving my back a quick pat. Nodding I give him a small smile.

"I'm always ready Sarg."

"Alright! Move out!" Cap shouts and we all start moving, guns loaded and out.

Bucky had an AK47 and I had a standard glock 18, both rather simple guns but thats just how we were, old fashioned.
