Under the cover of darkness, a certain Peter Parker crawled along the side of Stark Tower. "Finally," he murmured, raising one hand to knock on the window. "FRI?" he whispered, "Can you let me in?"
"That depends, Peter. Did you bring Karen?"
"Of course, FRI, who do you take me for?"
The AI laughed, and the window latch clicked open, allowing Peter to sneak inside the Avenger's kitchen. He set his mask down on the counter--hearing Karen whirr to life and start chatting with FRIDAY--before glancing around the room.
He started going through the kitchen cabinets--quietly as possible--before spotting the perfect target. With a smirk, he pulled all of the cereal out of the cabinet and swapped it with the cans in the cabinet to the left.
Peter hummed to himself before turning to the ceiling. "Is anyone awake, FRI?"
"Other than yourself, no, though the majority of the Avengers are light sleepers... If you wanted to wake them up, that is."
If Friday had been human, she'd have had a mischievous glint in her eyes. Peter wondered if she'd like a robot body similar to Vision's, but tucked the thought away for another day. "Next time, FRI. To make this whole poltergeist thing convincing, I'm gonna have to start small and escalate. Oh! And hey Karen, remind me next time I get stabbed to find a container to keep the blood in. Um, let's say it's for, uh, science reasons."
Both AIs laughed at that, and Peter chuckled. "Of course," Karen said.
"Thanks for all your help, FRI," Peter said as he snuck back out the window, "See you next time!"
"Of course. See you next time, Spider-Boy."

"You seem to be in a good mood. What gives?"
Peter set his phone down and looked over at MJ. "Uncle Clint just texted me. Phase One is going well so far. Everyone thinks the tower has a ghost, or they're getting old and forgetful... Except for Natasha, he thinks she knows. But to be fair, she's the Black Widow, so y'know."
MJ nodded. "That's about what I expected."
"Are you moving on to Phase Two then?" Ned asked excitedly.
Peter tapped his fingers on the table. "I think so. Just need to clarify with Clint, then it's time."
"Well, Loser," MJ said, "make sure you don't get caught,"
Peter rubbed the back of his neck. "That's the plan."
-- -- --
That was not part of the plan.
But, ohhhhh man did that work in his favor.
The vents! How did he not think of that before? Clint always used them for getting around--they'd be perfect for hiding in.
Peter practiced getting in and out of the kitchen vent a few times before dropping down to the floor and grabbing his mask. "Ready FRI?" he asked.
"As I'll ever be, O' Peter, King of Spiders."
"I told you not to call me that."
"It's payment for not kicking you out."
"I thought bringing Karen was payment for not getting kicked out?"
"Would you like me to set off the alarms?"
Peter shook his head. "Nevermind. Lets do this."
He did some quick rearrangements of kitchen items before opening all the cabinets. "It's go time."
Peter slammed a few of the cabinets shut so hard they bounced against the wall and opened again before bolting for the vents, closing them just in time to hear several heroes come running.
Steve was the first to arrive, quickly followed by Sam and Bucky. Clint, Bruce, Natasha, and Tony followed last. They all had an incredulous look on their faces--except for Natasha, who probably figured out what was going on(She's the Black Widow) and Clint, who was doing a poor impression of surprise.
"What the fuck," Sam muttered.
Bruce shook his head. "Nope. It's not a ghost, I won't hear a word of that. That's not a scientific conclusion--"
"FRI," Tony interrupted, "Who--or what--did this?"
"I'm unsure, Tin Can. Would you like me to play the footage from the past few minutes?"
"Please."
Peter smiled as Friday played faked footage that Peter had thrown together from other nights where he WASN'T sneaking around the kitchen.
Perfect, everything was going to plan.
The video started glitching out, and footage where the cabinet doors were being opened but Peter was edited out started to play.
By the end of it, the group was a little... on edge.
Well, that was putting it lightly.
Tony was cursing over the glitched video("My tech doesn't glitch!"), while some of the others were trying to come up with logical explanations and others were blaming a ghost.
"Stop, Stop, it's not a ghost," Tony said.
Clint glared at him. "Then how do you explain this?"
"I don't know, but no one's died in the tower!" Tony threw his hands up. "At least not recently, and definitely not on the upper floors."
"The footage clearly shows that there was no one there! And Friday would have told us about any intruders! Give me a good explanation, Tony--"
"I'll figure it out!--"
Peter stopped listening then, and started crawling through the vents to find an exit.
Phase Two was a success.

Phase Three - The Finale.
Clint had gathered all the Avengers into the living room for a movie night, giving Peter the perfect opportunity to...
Well, to scare the everloving shit out of them.
They had chosen The Lion King(which Peter approved of, it was a great movie). Peter may have gotten a little distracted by actually watching the movie, but around the final fight scene with Scar Peter tossed a sheet over himself and started to crawl out of the vents and across the ceiling towards the center of the room.
During the tensest moment of the movie, Peter struck, falling down from the ceiling while making a horrid screeching noise.
"WHAT THE FUCK???" Sam jumped backwards and tripped over the sofa; Bruce looked like he was going to have a heart attack; Bucky, Steve, and Tony rose to fight; Nat simply raised an eyebrow; and Clint was grinning like the devil himself.
Peter couldn't help it. He burst out laughing.
He dragged the sheet off and tossed it to the floor. "That was-- that was hilarious."
"How the fuck did you get in here?" Tony exclaimed before looking up at the ceiling. "FRI, how did he get in here?"
"The windows, Sir," Friday responded without elaborating.
"It was, uh, it was Uncle Clint's idea. To freak you guys out a bit." Peter paused. "Friday likes me."
"Clearly." The group slowly became less tense.
Then Sam spoke.
"Clint has a nephew???"

Uh hey yeah so whats up my dudes
It's been a while since I've posted an actual one-shot here, so like, hi!! I posted some incorrect quotes recently so I've started my revival already but hah here ya go.
Also got another one-shot in the works, called "The Bites". Will I ever finish it? Who knows. I'm about 2k words in tho so I hopefully will.
I'm also trying to write a Part III for Agent Ghost Kid but I can't find any ideas that really make me want to write a Part III, so sorry bout that lol. Mb I'll change up the way Part II of AGK happened and that'll inspire me?? Something like what I did here, where I "Remaster" the chapter.
Also yes I'm aware remastering something means improving the audio quality. Do I care? No.
ALSO If y'all are interested in reading my other stuff check out @BabyBoiKaito its an alt acc I share with my friends specifically for writing DCMK fanfiction *Wink Wonk*
So uh yeah anyway Ciao ig. Have a nice day y'all
