Pepper leaned over Peter's shoulder with a knowing smile on her face. "Someone has a crush~"

Pepper didn't know it was possible for someone's face to be that red, and yet here Peter was, blushing like a maniac.

"M-maybe..."

Laughing, Pepper pulled up the chair next to her son. "Tell me all about her."

"Well..."

Hey! You free today?

:Peter
Hm? Yeah, why?

Love of my Life:
I thought that, if you wanted to, we could go on a date..?

:Peter
I'd love too! How does the park sound? At 7:30?

Love of my Life:
That sounds great! See you later, Love!

Humming happily, Peter turned off his phone to find Tony staring over his shoulder. A smirk came to the scientist's lips. "Who ya texting there, kiddo?"

Peter shrugged and returned to his work. "A friend."

"A girlfriend."

Peter turned scarlet and tapped his fingers against the table. "No! I mean-"

"I saw the texts kid. No point in hiding it."

Peter sighed. "Yeah, fine, it's a date, but-"

"It's that MJ girl, isn't it?"

"What? No-"

"So it is!" Tony pumped his fist in victory.

"It's not MJ-"

"Whatever you say, kid."

"Sooo..." Steve couldn't sound casual. Ever. "A little birdie told me you were going on a date?"

Peter groaned. "DAD!"

"Wasn't me." Tony put his hands up in mock defense.

Peter squinted and bit his lip, but it didn't take long to figure out who had spilled the beans.

"CLIIIIIIINNNTTT! HOW DARE YOU!"

Peter saw the bird-brained tea-spiller yanking the vent cover back in front of him before crawling away as quickly as possible.

Deep breaths Peter, deep breaths...

"Friday?" The Spider-kid tilted his head towards the celling, "Activate Protocol 104: Birdbrain #2 Fucked Up."

While he'd managed to avoid Steve's question earlier, Peter wasn't so lucky when it came to Dinner.

"You didn't answer my question."

Peter glanced curiously at Steve. "What question?"

"You have a girlfriend. MJ, right?"

Peter face palmed. "No."

"But you do," Tony teased, "aaaand you're going on a date with her tonight."

Peter opened his mouth to respond but Clint beat him too it. "I think he's going out with Shuri."

"What? That doesn't work, Shuri's in Wakanda," Sam said, picking at his food. "I think it's that Gewn girl."

"It's not Gwen-"

"HA so it IS Shuri!" Clint exclaimed, once again cutting Peter off.

"He squirmed when I asked about MJ," Tony said, "So it's obviously her."

Peter sighed and knew he wouldn't win this fight. Going back to his food, he tried to finish in a hurry.

It was already 7:00.

Peter threw his jacket on the sofa before making his way to the kitchen. After a lovely walk in the park with the love of his life, the pair had gone out for Ice Cream. Peter didn't make it home till 9:15-oh how time flies!

"So the others found out about the Love of your Life?"

Jolting backwards, Peter was relieved to find that it was just Pepper. "Yeah," he sighed, "but they won't listen to me! They all think it's like MJ, or Shuri, or Gwen, but-"

"Wait, so it really isn't MJ?"

Peter sent a glare in Tony's direction. "No."

The scientist let out an offended gasp. "Why did Pepper know before me!? How did she find out?"

"Caught them texting," Pepper said, remembering the awkward situation.

"Well... actually," Peter started, not meeting Pepper's eyes. "I kinda... like guys?"

Pepper blinked. "Okay. Then tell me about him. Guy or girl, I still wanna know about your crush."

Rubbing the back of his neck, Peter gave a nervous smile. "Do you remember Ned?"

"Huh. Can't say I was expecting that."

Peter lowered his head. "Are you... against it?"

Tony's eyes widened. "No, no, not at all. But it totally looked like you had a thing for MJ."

Peter snickered at that. "MJ's just a friend."

"Hmm, well," Tony smirked, "Now I can tease you about your crush. And Birdbrain #2 was wrong, he won't be happy about that."

"You were wrong too, Dad."

"You're supposed to be on my side!"
