I'm Busy Mr. Stark! (II)

[ I found the above image on pinterest. By o0py0o on Lofter ]

I wish I'd found this picture before writing part I of this but I didn't so I put it here.

What to expect:
—SHEILD Agent Peter AU
—No Spiderman, but Peter has his powers
—Peter surprises the Avengers
—Author completely forgets about Karen (oops...)
—And apparently Peter can cook

— — —

"Alright guys listen up!" Was the first thing Clint heard after the elevator dinged and Tony walked out with a teen behind him.

"This is Peter," Tony continued, "and he's the SHIELD Agent that's going to be in charge of you for the next two days."

Clint fell out of his chair. "Ouch," he groaned, standing up.

"The agent is a kid???" Steve exclaimed.

"I'm not a kid-"

"Yes you are," Tony interrupted.

"SHIELD expects a kid to be able to hold us back?" Clint asked.

"Maybe," Natasha said, "they trust us enough to send one of their less-trained agents."

Clint saw Peter stiffen at that, smile dropping from his face.

"Look," Steve said, "I don't mean to sound rude, but are you sure your assignment wasn't mixed up with someone else's?"

"One, that was kinda rude Capsicle," Tony reprimanded, "Two, Fury walked Peter up here himself, so no, I don't think there was a mix up."

"Anyway," Tony continued, "you all have a room on this floor. There's a kitchen, training room, and this living space as well. I'll give you a tour-"

"Don't you have a meeting to get to?" Peter asked.

"Hm? Noooo-"

"Let me rephrase that: Go to your meeting or Pepper's going to kick your ass, and then mine for knowing you were skipping and not doing anything about it."

"Fine. Peter will show you around," Tony announced.

"Wait wait wait, how do you know Tony so well?" Clint asked.

"He's my personal intern," Tony called from the elevator, "Play nice kids!"

"Alrighty then, so!" Peter started, "Thats the kitchen," he pointed to a door, "This is the living room, and the training room is this way." He started walking down the hall and the Avengers followed.

Peter opened a door and lead the others inside. "This is the entirely non-lethal weapon training room. That means the weapons will not kill anyone if used the way they were intended. So don't try and crush someone with a weight or something, because that'll kill them. We have weapons suited for all of you. Feel free to look around."

The Avengers started to look around the tall white-walled room, but Clint pulled Steve off to the side. "Alright," Clint started, "I wanna test this kid. See if he actually could hold us back."

"Why? Are you going to try and break out?" Steve asked, "Don't do that. They're finally starting to trust us again."

Clint shook his head. "When was the last time Fury personally escorted someone on a mission? This kid is something special and I wanna see why."

Steve opened his mouth, then closed it again. "Fair enough. But why are you telling me?"

"I need you to distract him so I can fire an arrow at him."

"But what if he gets hurt?"

"He said everything was non-lethal. Or were you not listening?"

"Non-lethal, Clint," Steve hissed, "he won't die but he could still get hurt."

"He's a SHIELD agent!"

"He's a kid!"

"I'll just go get Nat then. She'd be much more willing to help me."

Steve frowned. "Fine I'll distract him."

Clint nodded and tried to find where the non-lethal arrows were. He found one and grabbed a bow. He saw Steve walking up to Peter and starting a conversation, so he started to string his bow.

Aim and... Loose!

The arrow was hurtling at Peter but the kid didn't even seem to notice. Steve was frantically watching the arrow come nearer but the kid didn't even look. At the last second Steve reached for the arrow, but the kid was faster, grabbing it without even pausing his sentence.

Clint blinked. Stared. Blinked again. Stared some more.

This kid caught his arrow without even looking!? A kid! Was he losing his touch? Was the greatest archer greatest no more?

Finally Peter stopped talking for a moment. He tilted his head. "Not even going to mention the arrow, are you? Look I get you wanted to test my abilities but-"

"You knew he was in on it!?" Clint exclaimed.

Peter nodded. "Yeah I heard you talking about it."

"We were whispering!"

"Whisper quieter," Peter shrugged, "anyway, it's getting late. Imma make some dinner. Any requests?"

— — —

"Alright, who died?" Peter asked as he entered the living the next morning. He'd been woken up by screams of bloody murder and trust me, you do NOT wake up Peter with screams of bloody murder.

He blinked. Fuck. Someone was dead.

Steve was lying on the ground, covered in blood. Peter stood in mute shock.

"BOO!"

Peter jerked back and slammed his elbow into the face of the person behind him. He then immediately offered to help them up.

"Ahh, sorry Clint!" Peter said, "WAIT STEVE'S DEAD."

"I'm not dead. Clint wanted to prank you and I, for whatever stupid reason—went along with it."

"Oh thank Thor." Peter let out a sigh of relief. His next thought was, "Breakfast?"

— — —

"Hey where's Clint? Peter asked, heading into the Training Room. The rogues were doing their morning workout routines but Clint was missing.

"I don't know," Steve responded quickly. Too quickly.

"Where is he, Steve."

Steve flinched. After a moment's hesitation he said, "The vents."

"Thank you."

Peter then leapt into the air, soaring at least ten feet in the air, before attaching himself to the wall with his bare hands and scaling it till he reached the vent and opened it, crawling inside.

Peter returned a few minutes later, kicking Clint out of the vents—literally— and climbing down after.

Peter checked the time and then looked at the rogues with a smile. "Lunch?"

— — —

It wasn't until dinner Tony finally came down to visit them again. Peter had gone into the kitchen to start throwing together some diner when Tony started up a conversation with Steve.

"Your intern sure is something," Steve said.

"Isn't he? One of the smartest people I know. And I know me."

"Is he that smart?"

"Oh absolutely," Tony exclaimed, "have you seen Karen!? She's a beautiful piece of technology."

"I have to agree," FRIDAY said.

"Who's Karen?" Steve asked.

"You haven't met her?" Tony asked, "Then what did you mean when you said he was 'something'?"

"He can catch Clint's arrows! Why wouldn't I consider him something!?"

"Why was Clint shooting arrows at him?" Tony asked, horrified.

"I'm fine!" Peter called from the kitchen, "I caught it! No harm done."

"Why didn't you tell us he was so skilled?" Steve asked.

"Yeah, why didn't you tell us he could fucking climb walls with his BARE. HANDS???"

"I'm sorry he can what now?"

Aight I'm not going to write the 'Posted on' date if it's posted the day it was written.

On that note, I'd like to ask, what would you like to see?
(Posting schedule)

—Consistent, once a week, scheduled updates
—Posting when I feel like it
—Posting when I finish the chapter

I'll probably stick with when I Feel like it, but if enough people want consistent updates I'll switch over.

Kay, that's all for now. I probably won't make a part III of this.

Bai~
