Peter Parker is Spiderman. It was part of who he is. Despite it being such a large part of his life not many people knew about his alter ego. His best friends knew, one by accident and one because she is MJ. His aunt also knew, another accident. All the Avengers knew, many by accident. Gee Peter is good at accidents. 

One other person knew. One of Peter's teachers. He did not figure it out from seeing peter in costume without a mask. He did not figure it out by making the connection of Peter and Spiderman never being in a room together, though that did help. He knew from his other occupation besides teacher. His name is Mr. Holms. 

Mr. Holms is a great teacher and a very active member of the community. Very active. When was giving his introduction to his class on the first day he told them he was on the board of his section of town, an EMT and a volunteer firefighter. So, in his word, "if I come in smelling like smoke its because we got a late call. What else are you supposed to do at night, sleep?" 

One day, when Holms was walking through out the room to see if anyone needed help on their work, he smelt smoke on Peter. He could tell it was house fire smoke because he knew he also smelled of the same smoke. He noticed that Peter always seemed to come in with some injury that was healed by the end of the day. He also noticed Peter seemed tired the same day Holms himself did. He was tired the days that there was a lot of crime that resulted in a lot of injured people.  This smell was the final straw in his theory. Instead of asking him, Holms decided to have some fun with him the next time he saw Spiderman at a crime scene or a fire. 

A few days later there was a fire that both Holms and Spiderman responded to. Holms decided to have his fun then. When none of this fellow firefighters were around and Spiderman was in yelling range, Holms yelled up to Spiderman. "Hey Parker, finish your homework yet?"

Peter without even thinking about it replied, "Sure have Mr. Holms." As soon as the word left his month, Peter replied what that implied. Someone had figured him out. 

The next day Peter had a test in Holm's class. As Holms passed out the tests, he gave his classical pre-test speech (yes this is an actually thing, read it as fast a possible for full effect) "Tests are out. Any talking constitutes as cheating. If you're cheating, you're cheating. If you're think about cheating, you're cheating. If I think you're cheating, you're cheat. Any cheating will result in a 0, failure for life, and you will bring shame and dishonor to Jone's family for 75 years." 

At the end of class, Peter went up to Holms to ask him about how him knowing about his alter ego. Before he could say anything, Holms said "Yes I know and I do not care nor will I tell anyone. You are a good kid Peter. As long as you keep up the good grade, I will help you stay out of trouble"

And that is how Peter got yet another person knowing about his alter ego. On the bright side, Holms is one of the more powerful teachers in the school and strangely Flash seemed to beat him up less after he strangely spend several weeks in detention. But who knows if Holms had anything to do with that. 

Yes. This teacher is a real person I had for a teacher. Yes he is that involved with the community. That speech is a direct quote. The name and time of shame changes but everything else is constant.
