Luna pov. 

I place the mealt bowl over the plate full of food with a soft hum. After placing the bowl over the steaming out food I hummed my to our shared bedroom bathroom to start a hot bath for him. He was coming back from a long hard stressful mission that took 3 months and 6 days to finish up. But now he was coming home and I couldn't wait to see him again. I missed him so fucking much that I had worn his long baggy shirts every night to help me go to sleep. It smelled like him. It worked for so long but I need the real thing. I need Bucky back in my arms to hold and kiss again. To feel his arms wrapped tightly and protectively around me always made me feel safe. Just to be able to be in his arms again made my heart and stomach flutter in joyful, nervously and happiness.

He's so close to coming back to me and I know that he would need to relax right away. Steve called saying that he had it ruff. He missed me but he felt like he was still being treated differently because of his past. I hate knowing that the avengers are making my soulmate feel like shit. He's a changed man. He's getting better and everyone can see it. Why treat him like that?

Hmmm.... I shake my head and run my fingers through my hair. So I’m starting a hot bath for him to jump right in after eating the food I had picked up for him a few minutes ago. 

The food was on his plate and on the table with a big metal bowl on top to keep it warm for him. My food was the same way. He should be home very soon so the food shouldnt get cold.

I got onto my knees and started the water so I could wash the tub before getting it ready for him. I got more comfortable on the ground before reaching out and turning both knobs on high. I lean back and place my chin on my arm as I stare at the hot water. 

I could feel myself slowly zone out as I stared at the water.

'RUFF!!!!'

My head snapped to the open door of the bathroom. Bud our dog was barking. That has to be him. Please be him!

I quickly got up and rushed to dry my hands off before leaving the bathroom and our bedroom to the hallway. I could hear the door open and then the sound of our dog going crazy. I slowed down to listen in. 

"Hey Bud, yes I missed you too” he said. I could hear how tired he is. “Luna" his tired and painful voice came out. "Yes boy I missed you too... where is she? Show me where she is" he said. 

I smile and giggle as I turn the corner to where he stood petting Buds head. He missed his dad so much. Bud slept by the front door for hours for Bucky to come back. That was quite sad to see so I would always call him into our room so he could sleep on the bed and not be alone in the dark depressed. 

Bucky's head snapped up as he heard my giggles and his small smile turned into a big bright beautiful smile. He dropped his bag with a loud thud and opened his arms wide for me to run into them.

It's like time stopped and my body too. I couldn't walk but just stare at him. I could feel hot tears start to stream down my cheeks.  

I could see his eyes start to water up too. 

He whips his eyes and rush over to me. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and picked me off the ground. I wrap my legs around his waist and wrap my arms around his neck tightly.  I dig my face in the nap of his neck as tears stream down my face. I missed him so much. 

"Oh I missed you so much babydoll. So fucking much" he mumbles into my hair. His hand moves up to the back of my head and runs his fingers through my long black hair. "Gosh I can't even think straight without you with me. I hate sleeping without you beside me. It's pure torture" he adds on. 

I pull my face from his neck and look into his water eyes. I give him a big smile, "I missed you to James. So, so, so much. I couldn't sleep without wearing one of your shirts. I hate you leaving me for so long" I said. I place my hand onto his cheek. I lean in and peck his nose quickly. I rub my thumb over his cheek bone. 

"Gosh I missed you so much" I added on under a whisper. 

Third person POV. 

Bucky whipped her tears away before smashing his lips onto hers for a needed passionate kiss. He tightened his left arm around her as his right hand went to the back of her head pulling her even closer to him. 

Both smile into the kiss, tears streaming down both of their faces. They didn't want to pull away but they needed air in their burning lungs. She lays her head onto her upper arm that was placed on his shoulder and looks at him. "Theirs food for you on the table. I need to finish your bath for you. Please go eat. I'll be right there to eat with you" she said, pulling away after a couple of minutes of just standing there in their arms. 

He groans but agrees to place her on the ground so she can do what she needs and so he could eat. She whips her eyes with a big smile on her face with a big smile. She looks up to him. "Now go eat mister. I know you're hungry" she said pointing her finger at him. 

"Yes madam. Don't take too long" he said he leans in and pecks her lips before he walks away and to the kitchen. She watched him disappear before she turned her attention back to the bathroom that still had the water running.

She rushed down the hallway back to the bathroom to get the tub ready so she could go eat with him. As fast as she could she got the tub ready. When it was done she was quick to get back to him. He eats alone for a few minutes in silence as he waits for his Doll. 

He could hear her come down the hallway and his head snapped his head towards her with a loving gaze. She smiles at him and walks towards him. She walks over and stands behind him and wraps around his body and places her chin on his shoulder. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him with a smile. "The bath is ready. It is really hot water so it doesn't cool off too fast... soo.... you will have to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down enough" she said in a low tone.

He places his fork down and grabs her arms and unconnect her from him. He pushed the chair back and pushed her to where she was sitting on his lap. He pushed the chair back in. his left arm wrapped around her waist and then grabs his fork. Luna giggles and wraps her left arm around his neck. She kissed his cheek, “and now how am i supposed to eat my love?” she asks him. 

He groans as he realizes that she wouldn't be able to eat without sitting in front of him. She giggles at his frustration, she places her right hand on his left cheek and makes him look at her. She kisses him with a smile. He smiles but pouts when she pulls her lips away and gets off his lip and takes her seat at her spot and takes the bowl off her food. 

Small time skip. 
Third person pov. 

Luna finished washing the dishes and dried her hands off. She sighs happily as she knows that in their shared bedroom bathroom bucky laid in the hot water relaxing his body. 

She walks to the fridge and grabs two water bottles and two plums for the both of them, as she leaves the kitchen she made sure to turn the lights off. She goes straight to the bathroom. She knocks lightly and peaks her head in. Bucky opens his eyes and looks at her. He smiles big. 

“Come in” he said softly and tiredly. 

She walks in and goes straight to him and gives him one water bottle and then a plum. Bucky was quick to take it from her with a big smile on his face. She takes a seat on the toilet after putting the lids down.

“Thank you doll, you have always known what I need,” he said. “Anytime handsome” she fired back. She takes a big bite into the juicy plum. He smiles at her cute face. 

Both of them were waiting for the right time to say important things to each other. She has big news as he has the same. Two different things but they both will make them. Luna whips her mouth with the back of her arm and places the hand that held the plum onto her left thigh. Both of them stared at each other. 

“I want kids!!!!”

“Marry me!!!?”
