POV : Third

At the central hospital several doctors were allocated in the care of a special patient, Rudolph Jones was in a life or death crisis, the doctors could not understand because Rudolph's body was absorbing nutrients faster than it could generate.

His once healthy and fit figure was now nothing more than a pale and skeletal figure with purple spots on his skin, the doctors after a lot of effort managed to stabilize his situation but he was in stasis of observation at all times.

Linda, Rudolph's wife came to the hospital as soon as she heard about her husband's situation, she was very worried about him, but the one who was paying attention was Norman Osborn because as soon as the news leaked the media was already on her neck.

" , were you aware of the danger of carrying the chemical weapon that wounded Mr. Jones?!"

" , do you think the government will file a lawsuit?!"

"Mr Osborn!"

Several questions were thrown at Norman who had an unhappy expression, it was supposed to have been a peaceful transaction but the element proved to be more unstable than the data showed, he could not have predicted such an outcome.

'Damn, at least the bastard hadn't saved that incompetent pilot! , it would be much easier to drown out this whole event.'

Norman thought resentful only Superman for getting involved, now he needed to go through all this mess, he remembers the doctor's warning and wondered if that's what he was talking about.

[North Pole : Fortress of Solitude]

POV : Superman

Inside my fortress I was analyzing the samples I got from the incident, my computer was analyzing the entire molecular structure and unraveling its mysteries, I needed to find a cure and fast, before 's symptoms get worse.

{Sir, you need to take some time to rest.} I hear Kelex, my personal Kryptonian Android, he had a worried tone.

"Thanks Kelex, but considering my cells recharge by themselves, I see no reason to stop now, I need to find a way to help , before the symptoms turn his deadly condition." I said, my tone taking on the urgency of the situation.

{I don't mean your physical state sir, even with your body warmed by the sun, your mind is like any other} Kelex insisted.

"Look Kelex, I'm fine, okay I haven't slept since the incident, but if my efforts are able to keep a man alive to see his son born, then I don't see a problem with that small sacrifice." I said seriously, looking at the data being analyzed, and finally the coding was over.

"It can only be a joke..." I said analyzing the data at super speed, looking quickly at the structure of the substance that took over 's body was a chemical derivation from my blood.

Due to having my blood as one of its elements it has taken on certain characteristics, the most prominent being the ability to absorb, the problem was the ability to absorb in such a rampant way, that is sure to be troublesome.

"Computer!, synthesize a diluent solution that can remove this from Mister Rudolf's body!" I ask hastily.

{Analyzing : Estimated time, two hours : Warning! : Individual affected by the parasitic substance may become unstable : Neutral recommendation.} The computer's artificial intelligence gave its analysis, seeing the data the absorption capacity would be such that it could absorb powers , I had already learned my lesson from Lobo, it was better to stay prepared.

I headed towards a different station, as soon as the crystals that formed the fortress rearranged themselves, revealing some different outfits, I extended my hand and headed towards Mister Rudolph, before any damage could be done.

[New York : National Hospital]

POV : Third

At the National Hospital in New York, Rudolph was being kept in a special room, his once fit body was now just a pale carcass, purple spots on his skin were appearing, various equipment on his chest keeping track of his body.

Rudolph's wife, Linda, looked at her husband through the glass that separated the room from the rest of the hospital, her eyes were red, due to tears of knowing that the man of her life and father of her child was between life and death, all because of the stupid work of a selfish millionaire.

"Mrs. Jones, we need you to sign some documents." One of Oscorp's lawyers said while he had several documents, Linda seeing this sneered.

"My husband could die today!, and you only care if I sue you! ?, get out of here!" Linda yelled in indignation.

"Madam, Mr.Osborn's image was also affected by the accident, he only seeks to repair things, if the amount offered did not satisfy you then we can negotiate." The lawyer spoke again in his neutral tone.

"Doctor !" Linda screamed, soon the hospital staff came to take out the lawyer.

"Mrs. Jones, are you sure you want this? The bill for all this equipment and Mr. Jones' treatment is pretty expensive, and what if Oscorp stops funding this treatment?" The lawyer finally showed his intention, but to his surprise the woman smiled.

"No need to worry, someone else is already funding the treatment, and he's a lot more reliable than !" Linda said the name angrily, but soon she felt a sharp pain.

"Quickly take her away. Sir, I believe you've said more than you should!" The doctor spoke to the lawyer with a contemptuous look, the man walked away with a bad taste in his mouth.

What none of them knew was that Mr. Jones had regained consciousness.

POV : Rudolph Jones

What...what is this?! , where am I ? , where's Superman?! , Beautiful ?! where is my wife, what is this cold?! , hunger , hunger hunger hunger hunger ! A voice began to hammer into my mind, everything I looked around had a different color spectrum, just dark shapes with light inside, the light was beautiful, warm, maybe I can eat this? maybe that makes me satisfied?, I want to I extend my...hand? it looked weird, purple spots, they started to spread, scales popping up, i touched these machines that were making noise, the color inside them was faint but still tasted delicious, more than any other i could taste.

I want more! , I want more ! I freed myself from my bonds, my body getting taller, stronger and more bestial, I felt a smile entering my face, fangs emerging, then an annoying sound started to play, I looked at the barrier that was in front of me.

"Huargr!" I roared, my hands...my claws slammed into the barrier, shattering to pieces, I run, getting into a four-legged position, crossing everything in front of me, I could see all the colors, they were beautiful and would feed me !.These little black figures started throwing things at me, it didn't hurt, but it was annoying, I went after them, sucking all the light out of their fragile little bodies!, I felt stronger ! I felt invincible! But then I was hit, thrown out of the hospital.

POV : Superman

In the name of God, that's a lot of people dead, if they weren't totally sucked out then they had claw wounds, those guards and doctors couldn't be saved, but Rudolph could.

" !, I need you to stop your attack, you're not in your right mind!" I try to appeal to his human side, but he was already acting like a beast, I fear his mind was taken over by the semi-conscious substance, it was like a parasite.

He came towards me very forcefully, I held him with my hands, his claws could not absorb anything, thanks to the highly reinforced protective suit, he could receive a missile and be intact, Jones kept trying to get through the suit, roaring and screaming.

I needed him to stay still, the thinning substance still needed time, my time window was getting smaller and smaller, I punched him in the face sending him to the ground, I kept doing it in order to knock him out. To my irritation the military had arrived.

"Warning! stay away from the creature, prepare fire!" Soon a shower of high caliber bullets hit us, honestly sometimes everything could go wrong, Jones began to absorb the synthetic energy of the bullets and got stronger, he ran towards the soldiers. I used my heat vision, not to hurt him, but to get his attention.

{Diluent solution prepared for injection.} The computer spoke into my suit, I smiled, it might be anticlimactic, but the man's life was above any super choreographed fight, I got the injection from a compartment of the suit, when was coming to lunge I hit him in the chest, he screamed, blue veins popping up on his body, then purple residue started to fall, and ' human body became more and more clear.

A purple solution with blue pieces formed a puddle below , I took a capsule and it started absorbing this substance, couldn't have anyone getting their hands on this thing. After that I took back to the hospital at high speed and then came back to face the squadron captain.

"You almost doomed the lives of your men and an innocent." I said seriously.

"That thing killed a lot of people! where were you?! hiding wherever you turn alien!" The man said fearlessly.

"We're going to go up to this hospital and we're going to get that guy out of there, and then we're going to see what makes him work, and you won't lift a finger, or you'll become the enemy of the United States of...!" He continued, but was interrupted.

"Enough official!, you've lost your jurisdiction in this matter." A man said behind the officer, the man almost jumped when he turned around, the figure behind him was a tall black man with dark hair, the strangest thing was the eye patch on his face.

"Superman, thanks for resolving this incident, I'm Nick Fury and I'd like a few minutes of your time." He revealed himself to be the Director of SHIELD.
