Clint Barton- Apology Pizza (c)

You had never had such a heated argument before especially over something so petty. The two of you had been so happy for so long and you rarely argued and you had never gotten to the point where one of you stormed out and hadn't returned in over three hours.

Although you desperately wanted to phone Clint and get him to return home, you wanted to apologise, but you knew it would hurt your pride meaning you weren't going to budge. You knew you weren't in the wrong, but you didn't want to be in the middle of a rift with your boyfriend.

Rather than helping the situation you just sat on the sofa allowing your tears to fall silently, clinging onto one of the cushions. You stayed like that for a little while longer before you heard a knock on the door.

You considered not answering the door. No one turned up unexpected, and you thought it was for the best to answer the door. Wiping away your tears you tried to compose yourself as you looked through the peep hole. There stood the brunette you had become all too familiar with. It was very tempting to ignore him, but he did have a key so although he was trying to be polite currently, he would just let himself in if you didn't.

Opening the door you didn't say a word, just allowed your body to block the door frame, staring straight at him.

"Y/N-" Clint began.

You looked at the box in his hand cutting him off. "What's that?"

"I'm sorry Y/N. I didn't mean to upset you, and everything I said was out of line. This is an apology pizza. Please take it or I will start crying right here," he stated. "And don't test me Y/N, you know I can cry on demand."

"Wait. You bought an apology pizza? And you're threatening to cry?"

He gave you a weak smile gesturing for you to take the pizza from him. You took it holding the warm box in your hands.

"I was taking a walk to clear my head. I knew I was in the wrong and I knew I needed to make it up to you. I was an arse. So I got in my car and drove to your favourite pizza place and got you, your favourite pizza. I know it's not much but it's the best I can offer at the moment. And yes, I know you find it impossible to not hug me when I cry, it seems like that would probably solve the problem," he said weakly.

You turned on your heel and began to walk into the house. Turning back you saw Clint stood in the doorway.

"Come on, I can't eat this pizza on my own," you smiled softly.

Clint's eyes lit up at the prospect of pizza, entering your home closing the front door.

"I need someone to watch me eat every slice. But I think after that we'll be on good terms again."
