You awoke to a bang from the room next to yours Bucky you thought. You got out of bed and threw an oversized t-shirt on as fast as you could, you ran out of your room and knocked on Bucky's door. When there wasn't an answer you knocked on the door so hard you were supprised the hinges didn't come off. When there was no answer the second time you threw the door open to see Bucky thrashing about in his bed. You ran over to him and shook him lightly.

"Bucky." You whispered in his ear "Bucky, wake up." When he didn't answer you began to shake him harder, panicking because you couldn't get him to wake up. Frustrated with yourself you slapped him across the face "James Buchanan Barnes, wake up right now!"

Bucky shot right up making you jump a little, you looked down at your hands in astonishment it actually worked you thought. Bucky looked around the room, eyes wild. When his eyes landed on you, sitting on the edge of his bed, he realxed a bit and his eyes softened as he engulfed you into a hug holding on to you as if you were going to disappear.

You felt a wet patch forming on your shoulder where his head was as you realised he was crying. You wrapped your arms around his torso and rubbed your hand up and down his back, trying to comfort him. "It's okay," You cooed "Your safe here." You both sat there in silence as you rubbed his back comfortingly and he slowly calmed down. You pulled apart after about fives minutes, you placed your hand on the side of his face and he immediately leant into it as you rubbed away stray years with your thumb.

You smiled softly at the broken man infront of you, "It was just a dream." You assured him, "None of it was real, Okay?" Bucky nodded as you pulled your hand away from his face. "Do you want to go back to sleep Buck?"

He nodded causing you to smile, you kissed him lightly on the cheek and got up to leave when he grabbed your arm causing you to turn around and raise an eyebrow, "Will you stay?" He croaked.

You smiled softly and nodded, laying under the covers with him as he pulled ou closer to him with his human hand as his metal hand stuck by his side. He nuzzled his head into your neck, taking in your sweet scent. "Do you want to talk about it?" You questioned softly.

You felt him shake his head, causing you to nod your head slowly. "Pass me your arm." You muttered

"What?!"

"Pass me your arm." You said sleepily

He placed his metal arm in your hand as you interlinked your fingers and wrapped it around you. "Your not a monster." You told him, seriously. "Your just someone who has been through alot, and is just healing. Slowly, but still healing."

You felt him pull you closer "I think I love you." He whispered into your hair.

"I know I love you." You chuckled as you fell asleep in his arms. In the arms of the man you love.

I like this chapter! It was inspired by a short story my friend wrote for an english assignment. It was called nightmares and was showed you someones nightmare but it turned out to all be real. I know it's deep but she got a 9 for it so why not!
