They Can Tell (Erik Lensherr x Charles Xavier)

THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME GUYS
AAAAHHHHHH MY OTP, MY RELIGION, MY BELIEF.

_______

The simulation felt so real.

Erik's suit was a little tight but he was still able to move around in it. His gun and some small knife Charles made him wear was inside his breast pocket.

The room full of the normals was filled with quiet chatter and waiting for the Mayors reveal.

Erik didn't really want to be here. Apparently the mayor demanded extra protection and the whole crew were the only extra agents on duty.

He searched the room for a familiar face but he didn't see anything. He hasn't seen them all day. Not that he expected to see Raven of the others. Charles was suppose to be here and to be frank, that was the only reason he was here other than getting kicked out. That just meant he will see Charles even less and get scolded by him.

Everything was a illusion and they were really just in a training room but everything felt real. Even the story Hank fabricated. He gets really into theses kind of things.

Sean, Alex and Angel were told to lay low but Erik suspected they won't. They just aren't the type.

He grumbled quietly as he walked towards the front of the large room. Spinning a small spoon in his hand, he scanned the room one last time for any signs of danger.

The mayor was releasing a mutant safe house for all the abandoned mutants and there was a great deal of uproar because of that, at least that's what Hank explained. Some mutants didn't want his pity while some just despised mutants in general and thought they shouldn't shelter such lawful creatures of hell.

Erick gripped his spoon at the thought of just idiotic beliefs.

"Erik, I'm not sensing anything." Someone put a hand on his shoulder.

Charles had two fingers lightly pressed in his temple, a prominent frown on his face as he scanned the glass ceiling that revealed the dark night sky.

"You think they will strike?" He asked. "I doubt they will go through with such a stupid idea." He added, under his breath. His eyes followed Charles gaze.

Charles let both his hands swing by his sides, sighing and cracking his knuckles. "Just try not to get too reckless. And don't kill, we need some of them for interrogation." He pressed the little earpiece in his ear that everyone also had. "That goes for all of you."

Everyone muttered back half-assed replies in his earpiece.

Erik rolled his eyes, inwardly. "Yeah, Yeah mum." He muttered, his thick German accent showing.

Charles ignored him and continued walking around the area. Then stopping, abruptly for some reason."The mayor is coming up."

Erik followed his eyes and saw the mayor all smiles and stuff, walking up to the stage.

The microphone crackled to life, bringing everybody's attention to the stage. His attentions was shifted back towards Charles, like it always does, when he started walking around again.

Erick followed Charles, making sure he doesn't leave his sight. He droned out the mayors speech.

"Stop following me." Charles said, not stopping.

"No." Erik replied.

Charles groaned. "We need to spread out and cover the area in case—"

The glass ceiling shattered, making all the people in the room yell and scream in surprise. Men, or female (he couldn't tell), in black suits jumped down.

"—in case that happens." Charles muttered.

Erik smirked at the intruders. All the silverware in he room shot up to pin some of the intruders agains the wall.

He spotted a blue blur beating the crap out of them, who he suspected was Raven. Another blur ran past him and large shriek was heard that could've shattered his eardrums if it wasn't for the little devices in his ears that Hank insisted that they wore.

He noticed that the crowd was gone immediately.

'Hank, that was so unrealistic.' He thought.

With another wave of his hand, another set of anything that he could control in this room came chasing after the black bandits, pining then against the wall for display. Turning around, he spotted the mayor and ran towards him.

"Hey, guys don't forget about the original plan." Hank said, though the earpiece. "The mayor."

He could hear Charles curse. Erik smirked, smugly.

"I got him." He replied.

"I almost forgot." Alex muttered. He could hear a loud crack though his end.

"What was that?" Raven asked.

"I think I broke someone's neck." Sean said in a sheepish tone. "Also... I think he's dead."

"Thought you weren't suppose to kill." Erik said.

"Yeah, Sean." Alex teased.

"Look at your disaster on the roof and wall before you talk to me about my mistakes." Sean snapped.

Erik wrapped a arm around the Mayor, protecting him. His eyes scanned the area and sure enough, there was a gaping hole the ceiling, were the glass wasn't was, that was dragged down to the wall. It could only be Alex's work.

"You guys definitely need more training." He could hear Charles mutter on the other end.

Erick snickered at their bickering. This was a team, and this was his team.

"At least we got someone who was able to be calm and remember the plan." Hank said, referencing Erik. He smiled smugly at the praise.

A sharp crackle snapped through his ears. He winced at the loud noise.

In the corner of his vision, he spotted Charles getting thrown against the wall. Erik felt his heart stop as he watched him slump down to the ground. Charles didn't move, frozen in that state.

Erik dropped his arm around the Mayor and used both of his hands to gather as much metal he could detect to pierce thought the guy who threw Charles against the wall.

He watched blood leak out of him from where he ripped through his flesh and clothes.

Charles propped himself up against the wall, wincing and not noticing Erik or the guy who had multiple things sticking through his body. When he finally noticed his attacker dead, Erik snapped his stare away from him and reached for the Mayor.

Only the mayor wasn't there.

He cursed, running and searching for him. His eyes raked through his surroundings but found him on the back of a intruder.

The setting around him evaporated, accompanied by Hanks sigh.

"We were so close." He sighed, walking out of the control room.

Erik adverted his gaze to the metal wall. The others groaned, knowing the meaning was they'd have to do another simulation.

"You guys need to stop being distracted and focus on the main goal. Not everything is about beating up bad guys." Charles said, pointing out their mistake.

"How about a break?" Raven suggested.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Charles and Erik stayed behind as everyone went to the kitchen to get a snack.

He watched the kids leave.

"Thanks for saving me." Charles said, quietly.

Erik looked at him, surprised. But Charles was already making his way out of the simulation room. He swore he saw a light blush staining his cheeks.

"What?" He asked.

Charles bunched up his eyebrows in irritation. "I'm not going to say it again because we did fail the mission after all." He didn't stop walking away.

Erik smiled. "Okay, fine." He raised his hands in surrender then running up next to him with a small smile on his face. Charles peeked some swift glances at the man next to him while he pretended not to notice his stares and blushes.

I debated on ending this here but I decided you guys deserve more so here you go :)

It was when they were close to the 100th shy glance Charles sent to him, Erik rolled his eyes.

Grabbing Charles wrist and dragged him into the nearby vacant room. Pressing him up against a wall, he leaned in until his face was hairs away from touching Charles.

"W-Wha—" Charles spluttered, a blush covering his face.

Erik didn't wait for him to finish, cutting him off with his lips. His hand slipped under his jacket and shoved off his shoulder while his other hand came up to his jaw and cheek. His lips move from Charles and to his jaw.

His hand tilted his jaw to gain him better access to plant a purple mark that would stay there for days. Charles traced his chest while the other wrapped around Erik's neck.

"E-Erik we are r-really close to the kitchen." Charles muttered, suppressing any other noise.

"Guess you have to be quiet then." Erik smirked against his neck.

"We—" Charles started.

"Where did they go?" Ravens voice was muffled behind the close door.

The couple froze. Charles held his breath and tried not to focus on Erik's own breath tickling his neck.

"Probably went to make out, let's be honest." Alex replied. Their footsteps slowly disappeared.

"We should probably go." Charles said, lightly pushing Erik off.

Erik's mouth fell open. "What? No."

"They are looking for us and we still have training to do." Charles argued.

"How are you going to train with that." Erik's eyes trailed down to his crotch.

Charles blushed a deep red. "I-I..."

"Just surrender." Erik teased, pinning him back against the wall. "They already know we are fucking."

Charles elbowed his chest. "They don't know that." He pointed out.

Erik raised a eyebrow. "Really now?"

Charles frowned. "I rather let myself believe they don't." He admitted.

"Ha." Erik smirked, starting to unbutton Charles shirt.

"E-Erik, we seriously have to go, a-at least don't keep them waiting." Charles stuttered, trying to shove Erik's hands off his shirt.

"They will tell by your moans." Erik waved off his excuse.

"Screw you, Erik." Charles muttered as he felt his harsh kisses on his abdomen.

"That's the plan, darling." He sang back.
