Tony opened the door, smiling with a vase full of roses.

He felt happy to be finally free from him duties to spend some time with the love of his life, Y/N.

His shoes walked quietly along the marble floor as he searched he bedroom for any signs of Y/N.

But all he saw was his own clothes and belonging.

It was like she was never here.

He walked out, confused.

On the coffee table in the lounge was a neatly placed note.

Tony felt his heart drop as he set down the base full of bright red roses.

His fingers opened up the note gently.

Dear Tony,

I'm gone.

I tried living with you like this but things don't seem to change.

I feel like I'm dating a ghost.

I love you,

And I would die for you.

But I can't live like this.

So, I decided to move on.

Don't look for me,

Tony dropped the note and ran to he bedroom.

He flung open the closet door, looking for any signs of Y/N.

But all he saw was his own clothes staring back at him.

He prayed that this would be a cruel joke and that Y/N would pop back out, Laughing at him.

But part of him doubted that and told him that she was gone.

That the only good thing in his life is gone.

And Tony fell to the ground.

Giving up.

Tony smiled politely as he rescues the citizens back to a safer area.

He set down the med kit and water.

His metal fingers passed them out seeing the relieved looks on their faces.

When he passed by a h/c haired girl, she didn't meet his eye but thanked him quietly.

His ears ringed as he felt a familiar buzz ran through his body when he heard her say Tony.

He stared at her, not wanting to believe.

Finally, under his uncomfortable gaze, her e/c eyes looked up.

"Y/N."

"Tony." She said, respectfully.

"We have to talk." He almost shivered as he heard her voice say his name again.

"There's nothing to talk about." She said, her face emotionless.

"Sure there is," He said, fumbling nervously, "We can talk about walls, death, flowers—"

"I have to go." She cut off, standing up.

"No! Wait!" He dropped the bottled water and supplies.

Citizens scrambled to gather them.

He stepped out o his metal armor and ran after her.

He grabbed her arm.

"Please."

"No, Tony. Go save the world." She said.

"What if I want to save us?"

"No."

"Is that your favorite word?"

"There is no us." She said, walking away.

"Sure there is!" He said, walking after her, "Us will last forever!"

"Tony." She sighed "You and I both know we won't."

"We can try." Tony argued, "I know I was a dick before, I didn't try."

"Yes," she said, coldly. "You were a dick."

"I will try this time." Tony promised.

She hesitated, "I don't—"

"One more try." He added, "That's all I'm asking."

She stared at his pleading eyes. "Fine." Then, she stabbed her finger on his chest, "But if you even lea—"

"Yeah, Yeah."

Then he slammed his lips into hers.

They kissed/made out for about 5 minutes before realizing hat the world was still in danger.

"I need—" He started.

She smiled, "Yeah, I know. Save the world for me, okay?"

He smiled, "Anything, babe."
