Y/N's caregivers would have small "arguments" with each other from time to time.
Not because of anything bad! But just simply because of there own biases on magic.
Loki, being the god of mischief, could transport anywhere she wanted, make illusions, perform super human stunts, and make things with her bare hands.

Then Scott, he would do things he considered the "old fashion way."
He did card tricks, made things "disappear," and did small tricks with his fingers.

Both of them would try and convince you that their form of magic was better, but you were just happy and content with the attention they both gave you.
Since your headspace was so small, you were impressed with anything your caregivers did!

But Loki and Scott wanted to put their rivalry to an end to answer the dying question,
"Who could impress Y/N the most?"

"Must we really do this now?"
Loki sighed with Y/N in his arms, "It is quite literally almost midnight."

"Yes we have to do this now! I've been practicing all day for this!"
Scott had a whole bunch of magic supplies in his arms, throwing it all down on the floor.

Loki rolled his eyes,
"You have to practice your magic? Scott please, let's not waste your time."
He teased. Scott starred daggers at Loki and just continued to put his magic supplies in order.

Loki sat you down on the floor, you curiously watched as your caregivers sat in front of you. One of them with a ton of stuff, one of them without.
Y/N went to reach his hand to touch some of the magic stuff, but Scott gently drifted your hand away.
"No buddy, no touching! You'll just have to look, okay?"

Y/N babbled something behind his pacifier, sounding like a small "yes."

"Shall you go first?"
Loki muttered, Scott grabbed his cards from the pile of supplies, "Gladly. Alright Y/N! Look at bubba!"

You drifted your attention to the both of them to just Scott like he asked.
He took 15 of the cards from the top of his giant deck of cards and hid them in his hands. Or, what seemed like that. Because when he opened his hands the cards were completely gone!

Y/N tilted their head to the side in genuine confusion.

'Where did they go? They were just there!'
You thought.

All of sudden Scott started to make gagging noises, he brought his hands to his mouth, then out came the previously missing cards.

Y/N gasped slightly then clapped his hands happily, giggling behind his (F/C) pacifier.

Loki stared at Scott with an unimpressed look,
"Really? That was it? Gagging up cards?"

"Hell yeah, pretty cool aye?"
He asked, not getting the hint of Loki's sarcasm.

"Certainly.. anyway, Y/N, look at mama."

You turned your attention to Loki now. She lifted her hands above her head, a small blue glow was coming from her finger tips. All of a sudden small sprinkles of snow started to appear all around her and the ground.
Y/N curiously crawled to the snow, holding his hands out to hold the delicate and beautiful snowflakes.

Y/N laughed and tried to catch the snowflakes that every so slowly fell from her hands.

Scott scoffed,
"You can't do that! That's cheating." There was a small hint of jealously in his tone.

Loki just laughed in response, "How is it cheating? It's a magic contest is it not? I'm doing magic."

"No. You're casting spells! That's not doing magic that's being a witch."

Loki looked at Scott with an offended look on his face,
"Hey, I'm not a witch. I'm a god you oaf."

"Yeah sure, whatever. Stop with your spells and let me impress Y/N some more."

Loki did as he asked and removed the snowflakes from her fingertips in a matter of seconds.
Y/N whined and went to grab Loki's hands, he didn't want the snowflakes to stop!
"I know darling, why must the show stop so soon?"

Scott groaned and gently pulled Y/N next to him, "Baby look!"

He held up a quarter in front of your eyes.
" 'oin!"
You shouted behind your pacifier. You went to grab it but Scott hid it away from you.
He held out his hands in front of you like last time, and again, there was nothing in his hands.

"Where did the coin go, Y/N?"

Before you could even gesture a response, Scott reached behind your ear and pulled out the coin!

"There it is!"
Y/N squealed and clapped their hands again for Scott.

Loki and Scott both had their hopes high for who you think would be the best.
Scott was happy from your reactions and Loki was pleased of how curious you are with his magic.

Loki went to grab you, but suddenly Y/N yawned. His eyes started getting visibly heavy, almost as if he was trying to keep them open.
This made both of your caregivers frown. Loki grabbed you and picked you up gently, placing you on her hip for support.
"Scott just had to keep you up past bed time, huh?"
She laughed.

"This wasn't just my idea, yknow? You agreed to it too."
He chuckled, both of them smiled and each other. As much as they didn't see eye to eye sometimes, Y/N really helped them come together.

It wasn't always like this though. It took about 2 months for Scott and Loki to get comfortable around each other. Scott was your babysitter at first and Loki was your caregiver. When you were big all three of you came together, and you asked the big question if both of them could be you're caregivers.

It was a shocking question for the both of them, but they accepted your request.

It's been a long process of disagreements and minor arguments, but Scott and Loki we're finally starting to get on better terms.

"Could you make a bottle for him please? I'll put him down to bed."
Loki bargained, Scott gave a thumbs up and began to get to work in the kitchen.

~Timeskip~

The room had dim lighting that was perfect for sleeping. There was soft lullabies playing from Scott's phone. Loki was humming to the melody of each one that played while feeding Y/N their bottle.
With her opened hand she ran her fingers between Y/N's hair,
Not even half way through the bottle, Y/N started to fall asleep in Loki's arms. She removed the bottle from his mouth then kissed her babies forehead, "Sweet dreams, little one."

She handed you off to Scott and he put you in your crib. He made sure to pull the covers over you and place your stuffed animals beside you. To finish it off, he gently placed your pacifier into your mouth.
"Sleep tight, kiddo."
He whispered. Both him and Loki walked out of the room and closed the door shut.

There was a brief silence before Scott spoke,
"Wanna try again tomorrow?"

Loki scoffed but smiled,
"You don't know when to stop, do you?"

"I'm in."
