Chapter One: It Starts Here
Would you rather live in a world of chaos, or try to stop problems before they start? It's quite a simple answer, and I know most of us can agree on it. Yet do we have the courage to take action? For most of us, the answer is no. Fear can overpower one's mind, but is that fear really worth sending our world to the devil in a picnic basket? We have the power to do amazing things, we just lack the courage to act, and one day, our fears will mean the end of us.
The mistake of choosing not to take a stand was the same mistake those before us made. Now the whole world has fallen under chaos, all because of naive mistakes. The previous inhabitants of this planet left this anarchy to the following generations to deal with. But personally, I'm done with this corrupt government.
It's only a matter of time before our unstable government collapses on itself. If one piece cracks, it all shatters. Our government is so fragile, it can be compared to a glass castle. Not only because it can break so easily, but because it seems so perfect and beautiful at first glance.
But it's not going to fall on its own. It needs that first hit to spark a revolution, that first hit to shatter it all, and that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to deliver the first blow of an uprising.
You're all probably wondering who I am. Genesis Matrix, that's my name. You better remember it, because this name's going down in the history books.

My short black hair ruffled in the wind, my icy blue eyes stared down at the large city that stationed itself at the bottom of this large hill I stand upon.
Gravitatem. That was the name of the city. It looked beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, there was someone to mug you around every corner. Just proves you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This city, along with the rest of this corrupt society, was all one big masquerade.
It would all happen tonight. President Zul was to arrive at approximately 3:00 this afternoon to get settled into his hotel room. 3:45 is when he'll leave his shelter in the hotel in search of a good place to eat. With his picky taste, he'll arrive at Eerik's Kitchen at estimatedly 4:04. 4:07's when he'll order his food. 4:20's when he'll receive his food. 4:35 he'll finish dinner and order dessert. At 5:01 he'll leave and move to his next destination: Waterfall Square. 5:51, the people arrive to hear his speech. 6:21, he finished the speech.
I know the manager of the restaurant he's going to. Eerik's been a reliable ally for a while, he had been a good friend of my mother afterall. With any luck, I can convince him to sneak some poison into Zul's coffee to make him sluggish. That should drag the time of ending his speech to 6:41. It would give me more time to prepare for the spark of revolution.
It would all happen tonight.

I adjusted my cloak, keeping my head low as I slipped into Eerik's Kitchen. I lifted my head ever so slightly, and there he sat: Zul. My eyes narrowed, but I needed to keep my focus on the task at hand. I continued my journey to the kitchen, knocking on the door frame.
Eerik looked up with a grin. Even with my hood up, he could recognize me. I smiled a little to myself, stepping forward to him. To my shock, he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug. I merely patted his back in return.
"Hey kid," he chuckled, rubbing the top of my head, "How've you been lately?"
"Relatively well," I replied. "Look Eerik. I need a favor."
Eerik couldn't help but sigh. "Should've known you didn't drop in to say hi. What'cha need kiddo?"
I held a small vial of clear liquid out to him. "I just need you to sneak this into Zul's coffee."
"Alright," he nodded a slightly. "Seems simple enough. What is it?"
"Just something to buy me some extra time tonight."
Eerik nodded, raising an eyebrow at me with the shake of his head. "Kid, I don't know about you sometimes. But I do know you better make it nice and swift tonight. Or else they'll trace this back to both of us. And then."
"We'll die. But we'll be martyrs. If they kill us, that sparks the revolution. The first crack in this castle of glass. They kill us, they'll all see how cruel our government can be. Though there will be loyalist, but we need that, to deepen the crack. Then comes a civil war." I sighed. "Besides, no one would miss either of us. We'd die for a cause, and not be missed, it's perfect."
